We had to wait on the mechanics to check some things- which I was totally fine with because safety is always first, especially in the air. Then, we spent about 45 minutes waiting + taxiing to the runway, before the pilot told us we were going back to the gate due to said mechanical issues. Once we de-planed, we had to wait over an hour for a new plane to arrive at the airport to take us to Charleston. Walking around the JetBlue terminal at JFK airport, I saw most other flights were experiencing delays as well. The airline did issue us $12 meal vouchers on our credit cards, but by the time the voucher reached my email inbox, I was trying to stay close to the gate to avoid missing my (new) plane. I wish we'd been told about the meal vouchers as soon as we got off the plane so that we could have used it. Once we boarded the new plane, we still had a long wait to taxi to the runway and take off. We arrived in CHS about four hours late. The airport was still crowded at the gate, as the plane was flying back to JFK at 10:30-11 PM at night. The redeeming quality of JetBlue was the free in-flight wifi. I'm really glad the pilots turned it on as soon as the doors closed. I was able to crank out a few Yelp reviews and keep my airport ride updated throughout this saga.

As an Emerald member with the one world alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. Unfortunately, this American Airlines experience fell short of expectations. I paid an extra $140 for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, 6K, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking American Airlines for a similar trip in the Future. I traveled with this airline recently, and the overall experience was smooth and well coordinated. From booking the ticket to collecting my baggage at the destination, the process felt organized and passenger-friendly. The ticket was booked online a few days before departure. The website was easy to navigate, and all important details such as flight schedule, fare summary, baggage allowance, and seat selection were clearly mentioned. The payment process was quick, and I received confirmation immediately, which gave me confidence that everything was properly arranged. On the day of travel, I completed web check-in to avoid waiting in long lines. At the airport, the ground staff were polite and professional while assisting passengers. They managed the counters efficiently and handled queries calmly. Boarding was announced clearly and carried out in an orderly manner. The flight departed close to its scheduled time, which made the experience more convenient. Inside the aircraft, the cabin was clean and well maintained. The seating was comfortable for an economy-class flight, and the leg space was reasonable. The cabin environment felt calm throughout the journey. The crew members were friendly, attentive, and professional. They responded quickly whenever assistance was required and ensured passengers were comfortable. In-flight service was satisfactory. Meals and beverages were served on time, and the quality was decent. Safety instructions were explained clearly before takeoff, and the crew ensured all guidelines were followed properly. Their communication was polite and reassuring, which added to the overall positive experience. The landing was smooth, and the arrival procedures were handled efficiently. Disembarkation was managed properly, and baggage delivery was timely. My luggage arrived safely without any damage or delay. Overall, the journey was comfortable and hassle-free. While there is always room for minor improvements, such as additional entertainment options or expanded meal choices, the overall service quality was reliable. Based on this experience, I would consider choosing this airline again for future travel.!! This line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for flight bookings, changes, rebooking, group travel, cancellations, refunds and general customer support. *Effortless Booking & Clear Travel Setup* I chose JetBlue primarily because of its strong reputation for customer service, convenient West Coast route network, and competitive fares. Compared with several competing carriers, JetBlue offered the most practical itinerary and convenient departure times for my trip. The booking process was smooth and easy to navigate. Fare options, baggage allowances, seat selections, and upgrade opportunities were clearly displayed, making it simple to customize my trip according to my travel preferences. *Priority Airport Experience & Efficient Flow* My airport experience started positively. Check-in counters were well organized, and airline staff members were courteous and efficient. Security screening moved smoothly, and boarding commenced close to the scheduled departure time. Although the gate area became crowded shortly before departure, the overall boarding process remained relatively organized and stress-free. JetBlue customer support can help with flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, seat upgrades, check-in assistance, and other travel-related services. *Comfortable Cabin & Calm Environment* Once onboard, the aircraft appeared clean and well-maintained. Most flight attendants were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the journey. Their positive attitude contributed significantly to the overall experience. However, seat comfort did not entirely meet my expectations. I paid approximately $140 extra for seats that appeared to offer a more comfortable arrangement during booking, only to discover that the actual seating configuration onboard differed slightly from what had been displayed online. My assigned seat, K6, offered limited cushioning, forcing me to use additional pillows and blankets for lower back support during the flight. While manageable on shorter routes, improved seat padding would certainly enhance comfort on longer journeys. *Reliable Journey & Smooth Arrival* The flight departed with only a minor delay and arrived close to schedule. Inflight snack and beverage services were delivered efficiently, and baggage delivery after arrival moved relatively quickly.

Every stage of booking was presented in an organized manner, making it easy to compare schedules, fare options, and business class privileges without unnecessary complexity. Seat selection was simple, additional services could be reviewed effortlessly, and pricing remained transparent throughout the process. Dedicated check-in facilities significantly reduced waiting time, allowing the departure process to begin efficiently and without the usual congestion. Priority security screening further streamlined airport formalities, creating a smooth transition toward the departure area. Lounge access provided a welcoming environment where travelers could relax, enjoy refreshments, catch up on work, or simply unwind before boarding. The spacious seating provided generous personal space, making it equally suitable for working, dining, or resting during the flight. Adjustable seating positions and thoughtful cabin design contributed to a relaxed atmosphere throughout the journey. The cabin itself remained quiet, impeccably maintained, and pleasantly illuminated, creating an inviting environment for long-distance travel. Throughout the flight, the cabin crew consistently demonstrated professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality. Service was delivered efficiently yet naturally, with requests handled promptly and every interaction reflecting a strong commitment to passenger satisfaction. **Consistent Inflight Service & Smooth Flight Operations** The journey maintained an impressive level of consistency from departure until landing. Every aspect of the inflight experience was managed with careful attention to detail, allowing passengers to enjoy uninterrupted comfort throughout the flight. Meals and refreshments were served efficiently and presented with care, while the overall service remained well-paced and unobtrusive. The aircraft operated smoothly, creating a calm environment that made the journey feel both productive and relaxing. The combination of reliable operations and attentive service contributed significantly to an enjoyable travel experience from beginning to end. **Efficient Arrival & Memorable End to the Journey** Unfortunately, customer service before departure proved frustrating. I initially contacted a representative in Seattle regarding flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Portland, where I was informed they could not assist and provided another contact number. After several transfers and repeated explanations, I was eventually redirected back to the original department before finally receiving the information I needed.

I flew China Southern Airlines from New York to China. We had a layover in Wuhan. The agent booking the initial flight from NYC didn't give us enough time to clear immigration, reclaim our bags, and check them back in. So we ended up missing our flight. China Southern rebooked our entire party on the next available plane which luckily was 3 hours later. They did this change without additional cost to us. I thought that was amazing because they did not have to do that! The flight attendants were excellent. They responded promptly and efficiently to everyone who pushed the call button. They anticipated passenger needs before they arose. The seats were large enough to make the 14-hour flight as comfortable as possible. Every seat has their own entertainment with a nice selection of movies, TV shows, and games. They kept the passengers stocked with pillows and blankets. They fed us multiple times and the food was relatively decent. The flights left on time and arrived early for the most part. On the way back to the States, I was able to speak with the ticket agent and they checked our bags all the way through which should have been done initially by the agent who booked our tickets so China Southern arranged that for us as well. I have nothing but good things to say about China Southern Airlines and I would fly them again :-)

The first time, we were on a very old airplane. It was about a 10-hour flight from JFK to Tel Aviv, so it would have been nice to have had some entertainment. There was a TV screen from 1984 on the back of every chair, and it played movies that kept cycling through, AKA you could not control the start or end time of it. Coming home, we were on what I was told was a Dreamliner, and it was very modern and much better. Each seat comes equipped with an iPad type of screen and there was a large selection of movies, TV shows, and even books to choose from. The food was actually very good for the most part, for breakfast yesterday they fed us omelets and I don't eat eggs, so I asked for something else, but they didn't have an alternate (they said they had ran out). Since I can't eat dairy either, and the breakfast consisted of yogurt and other dairy things, I was stuck eating the bread and the small cookie. On the newer plane that we got, the seats reclined far back, which I thought was a good thing at first... Until the rude passenger in front of me put her seat down all the way for the entire 12-hour flight. I initially asked her to move it up a little bit and she did move it all the way up (more than I expected). Later, she reclined all the way back again, and I asked her to move it up a little, to which she flatly replied, No. She must have told the flight attendant that I asked her this, too, because the flight attendant then asked me not to "tell" her that she has to put her seat up. (I didn't TELL, I asked....) Other than that, the trip home was much better than the trip there, due to the modern plane and the snacks and amenities offered.

Started out getting on the plane thirty minutes early, all is well with the world. Sit down. Wait. Wait. Keep waiting. We left 80 minutes late. Guess how many announcements they made. I'll wait (I did already for so long). Yup, that's right, 0. We literally sat there from 11:20pm through 1:10am with not one announcement. So we finally take off, things are fine. About seven hours in, the elderly woman next to me tried to in-recline her seat in business class. Nope. Unsuccessful. So the staff comes and tries to fix it for ten minutes while she's standing next to them. She's 80 for chrissakes. Let the woman sit. So after over 20 minutes of this, they offer her first class, she wants to stay with her family, so they give her my seat and I take the first class seat. Yay. It's so....average. Literally the only difference between first class and business class is more leg room and better waitstaff. It's not special. So super long story long, coach would have been a nightmare, entertainment doesn't exist (there's a TV but it one from the 1980s with programming from the 19th century), there's no Wifi or outlets for an 11 hour plus flight, and the food isn't good. So why two stars? Well the seats are comfortable. I slept better on that plane than I do in my bed. I wouldn't go at all in coach, but business class is fine. And I felt safe which can't be understated. Back again and it's worse than last time. 2.5 hour delay with no announcement why. So for three flights, I've had waits of 1, 1.5 and 2.5 hours, respectively, and numbers of announcements of 0,0 and 0. My friend is in coach and he says that it stinks unbearably. It's also very warm, as the air isn't on despite us being on the plane for twenty minutes. I'm still not going to give it 1 star since I sleep so well in business class on these recliners, but this airline doesn't have much else going for it.

The aisles are so narrow that the flight attendants who walk aggressively, the carts, and other passerbys constantly knock into people in the aisle seats. 2- Barebones amenities: Poor entertainment choices on flights to and from JFK. Lots of 'B' movies and TV. 3- Poor quality food: Vegetarian dinner was simply pasta and tomato sauce- no vegs, no nothing. Breakfast was a hard sweet roll and the coffee was beyond awful 4- Filthy/dirty bathrooms! On most other airlines, the staff will check periodically to make sure the bathrooms are bearably clean. NOT on Austrian. How utterly disgusting after many hours in the air! 5- Hot and stuffy in the cabin with no ability to manually adjust air flow above our heads and the staff kept it warm- probably in the 80s. Who can sleep in such heat?? 6- Check in at the Vienna airport for Austrian Airlines is incredibly barebones. No personnel to check you in. Instead you must use the confusing machines, with only one assistant to help people use the many kiosks. The only personnel are the 2 people to receive your checked-in luggage. The Austrian Airlines experience was so poor that I now dread using them again if I want to return to Vienna. I had to call and could not do this online as we have a child flying with a different parent each way. I was trying to purchase tickets to Vienna today. Called the number online Austrian Airlines listed as 1 (800) 843-0002. Pressed 2 for United States, received message, "for organizational reasons, you will be redirected to Luftansa." I spoke with two representatives for which when they went to try to book the line was connected but remained silent - they didn't respond further without telling me to hold. I then called back and spoke with a lovely man Derriek who was reportedly able to make the reservation and took my credit card information, but didn't give me a confirmation #. I called back and rep Porgy said he could not find my reservation. I requested to speak with a supervisor Gabby who also could not find my reservation and said we could try to rebook so in the process of checking flights and giving her all our information, she kindly went to check how much extra baggage would be, but then returned and noted that since it was an austrian air flight, she could not book for us (?!!!) She said I would need to call Austrian Air. When I told her that I DID call Austrian Air and that the phone redirected me to her organization which I thought was Luftansa. I asked for Austrian Air's number and she gave me516.738.4422. I called that number and received a recording that it was a customer feedback line to which no live person would answer (!!!) I left a message to notify them of the issues. I then resorted to a travel agency. However, when just double checking if the Austrian Air number really did route to Luftansa, I got representative named John, who said they were a "Miles and More" Star Alliance center who would be able to book any of the star alliance airlines including Austrian Air and Luftansa. But THAT call got disconnected. This was so crazy and wasted hours of my day. I'm very disappointed by these airlines and wish they had the decency to at least be upfront about whether they could book or not and do it in a timely/professional fashion.
