After that the car AC stopped working and acting strange. Brought it back and was told to replace the entire AC system for another 5.5k. I was then referred to David Mai at Solo Motorsport by a relative. He tested it for a day. Found a coolant reservoir was bone dry. Cleaned it and filled it up. That was a pleasant surprise. I have a warranty through CarMax and Franky's was listed as an authorized mechanic service through RepairPal. Dropping the vehicle off was easy, the communication was great, they always called with updates or picked up the phone if I called them. The repairs were great, no complaints. My gripe is that they had the vehicle 10 days because they originally ordered the wrong parts, the gentleman on the phone made a comment that they weren't aware that my SUV had an advance technology package. They should have known this by the VIN, all I had to do was Google my VIN and the first result told me the specs of my specific vehicle. Having to wait an extra week was annoying, but I can't even say for sure the MaxCare warranty dept didn't make the mistake, so I'll forgive it. Aside from that, everything else went smoothly and I didn't feel like I was being mislead or taken advantage of.

Of course they recommended several unrelated (and unneeded) services which were thousands of dollars. At this point I was informed they would charge me $358 for the diagnosis unless I engaged them to do the repair. After another 6 hours (the next day) trying to figure out when they could start and if they could get the parts, with no assurance of when it would be ready, I withdrew authorization and paid them their diagnostic charge to get my car back. I narrowed it down to 3 shops and chose Glamour Auto Body Repair based on their reviews. I called on a Friday & spoke to Nick. Brought my car in that same day for an inspection & quote with Nick & the quote was lower than my insurance deductible. Was told that the repair would take 2-3 days. Dropped off my car yesterday morning and received a call today mid morning that my car would be ready by lunch. I was expecting it to be ready closer to the 3 day mark so this was a pleasant surprise. When I went to pick up my car the cost was still the same as the quote I was given. Both Daniel's (the manager & technician) were there during my pick and was very friendly. When I tell you my car is super squeaky clean! They did more than just fix the back bumper damage that I brought my car in for. The front of my hood had some wear & tear marks and they are completely unnoticeable now, thank you! My car looks brand new and clean inside and out, and vacuumed. Thank you so much to the entire Glamour staff for a wonderful first experience. We have a family member who owns a body shop and his 'friends and family discount' estimate was more than Daniel's. It wasn't just the price that sold us, but Daniel's honesty, assurance, and professionalism sealed the deal. While he had the truck, we asked him to replace the backup camera. He shopped around and got us the best price and even did a lot of re-wiring at no extra charge. They did a fantastic job on all of it. Looks better now than when we bought it!
