12/17/24 - Scheduled an appointment with Car Pro Inspections for next day (12/18)and shortly thereafter, Stefan reached out to firm up a time. Next morning, Stefan reached out to let me know he was on the way. The inspection took a little over an hour then we went over the results. Stefan went over the good, bad and ugly. He explained in lay terms so, even I could understand the things he saw. 12/19 - Stefan reached out to further explain where I should pay attention and asked if there were any other questions and if I thought of any other questions later to reach back out to him. I have been car shopping for a used car for the past month or so. After narrowing the list of my top favorites down, I finally decided on the one I wanted to purchase. Yet despite all of my research, I still did not feel confident that I would be getting a quality vehicle because I don't know anything about cars. I initially chose an inspection company called lemon cars but they had horrible reviews. After a bit more research and at the last minute, I came across Car Pro Inspections. Luckily, they have an office located here in Atlanta. Their schedule was booked but I needed the car to be looked at the next morning before I made the purchase, so I called the number listed and told them my dilemma. They squeezed me into the schedule the very next morning. After the inspection, I received a phone call from Stefan who told me the most important things I needed to know before making the actual purchase. I cannot begin to explain the detail in which he went into inspecting this used car to make sure it was quality. Stefan informed me that there was a coolant leak and needed a water pump replacement. After the conversation, I contacted the car lot and informed them of the findings. They tried to tell me that all of the cars on their lot have already passed a 100 point inspection and they were highly skeptical about Stefan's findings. They even said they had their in-house mechanic look at the car again and verified there was no leak in the coolant. At that moment, I was able to supply the photos of the evidence of the leak to the car lot and his immediate response was "Oh, you didn't tell me you had photos!" This big, mainstream, name brand car lot knew this car had a leak in the water pump and they attempted to stop it from leaking by using a sealant to stop the leak long enough to sell the car. And after bringing it to their attention, they still tried to lie about it until I showed them photo evidence. Thanks to Stefan, I was able to make them replace the water pump as a condition of the sell. And since there were no more problems stefan found, I felt very confident that I was purchasing a quality car that I wanted. I've never felt more secure in buying a car and I cannot describe to you how priceless that is. I cannot speak highly enough of Stefan at Car Pro Inspections in Atlanta. Even though the vehicle was advertised as a Certified Pre Owned and supposedly had undergone a rigorous inspection and service protocol, Stefan at Car Pro found numerous issues with the vehicle. His inspection and subsequent report far exceeded my expectations, detailing even small imperfections or abnormalities most would have missed. I was considering a purchase of a high-line vehicle from a dealership in Marietta. Since I live out-of-state (in CA), I naturally wanted a professional to be my eyes and ears for this potential large purchase. Before ordering my 'exotic vehicle' inspection online, I called to ask about how soon someone could visit the dealership since I was eager to get the inspection report done. During the pandemic, this is especially important when you consider that flying to see a car you want that is for sale in another state, might be downright dangerous. Even if you are buying locally, having someone like him as a second set of eyes, is invaluable. On August 26, 2021, I asked Stephon from Car pro Inspections in Georgia, to inspect this 2017 BMW M760i for me. I am in California and needed a set of eyes and his nose to inspect it for me. His first task was to see if it smelled like cigarette smoke and it did not. I had seen plenty of great-looking pictures. Most inspectors charge you to spend time taking yet "more" great-looking pictures of the car you are out to buy--and they do try to also catch pictures of the issues they report. I instead asked him to look very carefully and make sure he took clear pictures ONLY of issues and problems he found. After all... that is what your family and friends will point out when you show them the "nice used car you just bought for $81k", right? These cars cost about $179k when new in 2017. This car had about 30k miles on it and the asking price was in the $81k range, which for a 2017, out of warranty and with those miles, is about $5000-$7000 too high. While the Frozen Dark Brown ME paint color is sort of novel, there are a couple others in the country for sale. Only they do not have the light creme interior color. That color interior "is" a bit harder hard to find--but if one waits, it is possible it would pop up. At first Stephon noticed what the dealer told me: on the whole, the car had not been smoked in, thank God, and the car was in pretty nice shape, until you looked closer... I annotated these pictures for this gallery. Once you add up the issues Stephon was able to expertly pinpoint and report, I figure he saved me around $12,000-15,000 in paint, in replacement of leather covers for seats, in consoles and door panels, tires, etc (includes the expensive BMW labor). Browse the pictures, don't count the front or rear bumper twice, keep track of the issues, but-- add things up. You will see what I mean. Every time you see an issue, it is at least $1000 to address. Only a few issues might be cheaper. I left out metal trim pieces around the control buttons that have fingernail scrape marks. Maybe I should not have. Not to mention there was a mysterious error code 021924, which Stephon's scan tool found. The BMW dealer I talked to said they cannot diagnose it without seeing the car. So, at least one would need to spend another $450 for a BMW PPI to get it sorted out before buying. The rear tires were bald, and one appears to have a possible nail in it. Maybe it is a nail. Maybe not. Why has the dealer not replaced the bald tired to begin with? $81k car!!....And the coolant was too low. Both could leave a customer on the side of the road, if error 021924 does not. I want to thank Stephon for doing exactly as I asked and doing it quickly and professionally. I ended up buying a 2018 M760i from somewhere else, for $87k with only 12k miles on it. it still has about a year of factory warranty on it. It has none of the issues Stephon found on this car, except the front bumper is also scraped underneath. No leather or door panels require replacing--and no stains. Tires seem new. Coolant is topped up. No Codes. Paint is in perfect condition with zero scratches on the surfaces you can see, and very very few small rock nicks on front or back. So small they can be touched up and buffed in and no one would see. So low down, you might never see them. The underside looks new, not scraped up. The point is, no matter how many excuses the dealer makes when selling any car, it does not "have" to look consumed by the previous owner. I have bought 14 year old cars with 60k miles on them for $10, 000 that were in better shape than this Car Connection car, cosmetically. It is your money, take it where it will make you the most happy. read more

I used this Company to have the car inspected. I turned out to be the best money I ever spent. I could not see the car myself so I spent the money to have it inspected by a Professional. I received a very detailed report sent the next day after ordering the inspection. It said it all. I also found out from Car Fax, my dream car had been stolen in CA and totally wrecked. Then salvaged and rebuilt. The frame was bent and the mileage on the car was a flat out lie. So risk buying a POS or spend the money and use this Company. I must say the Tech who inspected this car knew nothing about the Car Fax. I did find my dream Aston Martin. What a ride. read more

Car Pro Inspections is my go to for pre-purchase vehicle inspections. So far I have had 3 cars inspected by Stephon a Honda Accord, a Civic and a Ford Ranger.
