I called around looking for an estimate for replacing my car emblems and they were able to do it same day. Omar told me to show up at a particular time and surprisingly when I arrived, he was able to get me in. Omar was excellent with explaining best and worst case price for the job. Fortunately, for me, I was able to get the best price. Happy I stopped by and I'll definitely use them again!

They are very polite and welcoming you . They are very knowledgeable, The experience was great they explained everything to me from start to finish. they even emailed me pictures of my car everyday to show me the progress and explain every detail of the process. The whole team was great especially Alfonso love him one thing I do no is I have a new family at Bavarian. Thanks: Ms.Alice,Cooper

DO NOT bring your car to this place…read more Everything that could go wrong did. My biggest issue is the office staff. Rude, horrible communicators, irresponsible, customer service that blames the customer for everything. Had a fender bender and here are the facts: Towed the vehicle to their location*notified them that I wasn't using my insurance*took awhile to receive the quote. I called often. On one occasion, i notified the owner I hadn't received a call back, he made a comment about his niece. Can't recall the exact wording. But I understood it to mean she was young and let's things slip. I paid the deposit for work to begin. Then told difference would need to be paid in cash. On one call, they told me something else would need to be fixed. Fine. I contacted them before going asking if I could pay w a credit card. She said fine, she'll take a copy of my credit card. I then make the journey to go get my car. I get there and she tells me she tells me the cost and it sounds off - I had to ask why? She explains the processing fee is a percentage. Bad communication. We get in the vehicle and notice the back rear mirror is shattered. By this time I have signed things got the key and was about to pull away. I go back inside and she says she say it but eh!!! It became a blame game and a nothing I can do, and not sure how it happened, no one moved your car, nobody else's car is damaged, the tow guy had stuff back there. It was horrible. I then say I'm not taking the vehicle until the owner who was away got back. I go back two more times, because she also said she would reverse my card. I couldn't pull it out of her why. I imagined because their was some level of culpability, and then I had to go back after I released the staff did not return my card. Mind you, no call from the owner, nothing. I have nothing positive to say about this service. I was made to feel like a customer that is hysterical, volatile, and doesn't understand optimal deserve or someone who only deserves to be treated in a disrespectful way. Meanwhile in between time I am far far from that. I must of been extremely irritated because this review has been in my draft. I strongly suggest the staff do not respond to this review. Further ridicule or sarcastic remarks will not change my opinion or treatment.

This is an independent garage I want to like. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Bavarian specializes in European makes. Contrary to what their website says, they work on other makes, like Toyota, too. The sign outside says they are "the BMW specialists." Despite servicing luxury cars, Bavarian is a fairly no-frills independent garage -- my kind of shop. I have a 2001.5 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T (B5.5) with over 300,000 miles (original owner, original engine). Before Bavarian, I took my car to four independent shops in Marietta. In recent years, I took my car to a shop in Carrboro, North Carolina. All of these shops specialize in VWs and Audis. So, I fully recognize I introduced a nearly 24-year-old, well-worn car with almost 303k miles to Bavarian. I spoke with Bavarian service advisor Bryce Jewell and he told me that old cars are their "bread and butter." That gave me hope, but after many years of experience with my car at other shops, I know my car isn't easy to work on. I took my car to Bavarian to diagnose my engine occasionally misfiring upon cold start. After keeping my car for five days, they weren't able to reproduce the problem. The original feedback from Bavarian's mechanic, Mark Thorsen, printed on my invoice was, "Technician states he cannot find anything wrong with vehicle." After hanging onto my car and test-driving it again, they noticed my engine wasn't running the way it should and smoke came out of my tailpipe (which my previous mechanic and I noticed too, but he wasn't concerned about). Bavarian's diagnosis, which cost $150, was old valve guide seals causing oil to leak into my cylinders. That makes sense. However, where I had pause was Bavarian's recommendation, which was to replace my "engine core." In other words, replace my entire engine for almost $6,000. Bavarian didn't think it was worth it to "just" replace the valve guide seals on my original engine due to its age and wear. I get that. Hence their engine replacement recommendation. It's my understanding that since you can't get a VW/Audi 1.8T engine new and Bavarian couldn't source it from one of their suppliers, Bavarian suggested either I supply the engine myself or they could find one. They found one on eBay and quoted me $2,300 for it. They quoted 18.5 hours of labor at $150/hour, which equals $2,775. After a $500 "buffer" for extras - for example, old parts that break and need replacing during the engine rebuild, $80 for shop supplies, and $249.20 in taxes (8.9%), I was looking at $5,904.20. By far, this was the biggest estimate I've received for repair work on my Passat - and I've had some big bills. Also, the replacement engine understandably wasn't covered under warranty by Bavarian. I called my old mechanic in North Carolina and told him what Bavarian told me. He's a VW specialist and is very familiar with my car (he's had the same engine himself). In short, he disagreed that my engine should be replaced. One thing that's different about Bavarian compared to the other independent garages I've taken my car to is that Bavarian is a relatively bigger operation. They have more lifts - I believe six, but don't quote me on that - and actually have staff in service advisor roles like Bryce. I'm used to speaking with the shop owners/mechanics directly. That said, I appreciate service advisors for their people skills. Bryce was terrific from a customer service perspective. He said all the right things, was pleasant to talk to, generous with his time, and honest. He was real with me in saying that $6k repair cost could instead go towards a new or used car. I appreciated that, but I didn't want to give up on my Passat yet. What I most appreciated about Bryce was he recommended an independent garage in the area that specializes in VWs and Audis: Karma in Scottdale. I got a second opinion from them. Karma made a completely different diagnosis and successful repair, related to my then-failed secondary air injection pump, for a cost of about $2,500. Contrary to Bavarian, the general manager at Karma didn't think my engine needed to be replaced, agreeing with my old mechanic in North Carolina. Also consistent with my NC mechanic's opinion, the Karma GM wasn't concerned about the poofs of smoke that came out of my tailpipe upon certain cold starts. He said that happened to new VWs on the lots at the VW dealerships he used to work at. Since taking my car to Karma about two months ago, it's been running great. My Passat lives on. My wife made a good analogy: Taking my car to Bavarian was like going to see my PCP. Taking my car to Karma was like my PCP referring me to a specialist for specialized care. Ultimately, I do think Bavarian was honest and tried to do the right thing within their abilities. In this case, I needed specialized expertise.

Bavarian was one of the repair shops recommended by my State Farm insurance, and I can't be more happy with their process and the end results. This is probably the most organized, professionally run auto repair place I've ever come across. Communication was consistent and informative at suitable intervals, and the car came back looking even better than before the incident. Given that the glass spall had compromised paint across three panels, this was not a simple job. But the paint blending was immaculate and I find myself forgetting it even happened. I also want to say that Anders, one of the owners I think, was very friendly and highly articulate when it came to explaining every aspect of the damage, the intricacies of how they deal with the insurance and rental car companies, and their entire repair process. He really took the time during the intake to provide detailed answers, so right from the start I had tremendous confidence that things were going to be done right--and they were. Highly recommended.

If I could give 6 stars, I would…read more I had a mobile dent repair guy attempt to fix scratches someone left on my new car on the bumper and grill and he used matte black (my car is gloss black) when he told me he had the correct paint color... He also broke the bumper clips that ended up being unsalvageable according to Bobby (owner of Platinum). He got overspray everywhere and broke parts that shouldn't have needed to be replaced. So an absolute waste of $500 on top of making the car look worse than it did before he touched it. I have been looking at getting it fixed for some time now and I came across Platinum Collision Repair and saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. When I arrived I saw a bunch of cars in the shop that looked pretty much brand new so I knew I was in probably in good hands. I was instantly greeted by the owner and I showed him the damage. He gave me a free quote within 3 mins of me being there. I took some time to see if I wanted to wait a few months or do it now but after seeing person after person come to drop off their car within 5 mins of me trying to make a decision in the parking lot, I felt that was all the convincing I needed, so I got him to go ahead and do it. I dropped the car off 7-25 (Saturday afternoon) and it was done 7-29(Wednesday morning). He told me Thursday just to be safe and I get a call on Wednesday morning at 9am that it's ready. That's including them ordering a new grill, new bumper and painting. They are closed Sundays and I brought it later in the afternoon on Saturday so really it only took them 3ish days to order the parts, do all the necessary repairs to other parts not being replaced, paint the car and they even washed it for me! These guys at Platinum killed it and the owner Bobby was seriously so helpful and did his best to get me right after getting screwed over and save me as much money as possible. He even buffed the overspray off my headlight for me and it looks like a brand new headlight now. The car now looks like how it looked when it came off the delivery truck a year ago. They did the job for so cheap too! Can't recommend them enough... so much so that my mom is asking me what's the address and telling me she doesn't care that it's over an hour and a half away from her after seeing the results lol.
