All they would need to cover the extraction is for the dentist to fill out the preauthorization paperwork. I had already got a note from my daughter doctor that she needed anesthesia. This place would not fill out paperwork. I called them letting them know that yesterday I took my daughter to a dentist in Gilroy. They did x-rays on my daughter and recommended that I come here to see how much I would pay put of pocket since they won't fill out the pre-authorization for it. They said I would have to pay $200 again even though I just paid for xrays..... her mouth is not going to change overnight. They wouldn't even give me an estimated amount I would pay out of pocket. I called other places and they gave me a high estimate that I might need to pay. But this place wouldn't even give me the time of day.

I am happy to report my gums are doing well and the results of my gum graft are awesome. I had been putting off this procedure for years, because no one likes surgery, but I recommend you do it sooner than later, because no matter what, you will have to get it done if you have recession. I waited so long that i do have bone loss that is not recoverable. My gums had receded so much that the teeth root were exposed which cause sensitivity to cold foods. I had my entire bottom row of gums grafted and the gums have thickened and covered the exposed root of my teeth. Next year I plan to do the top teeth gums when my insurance amount resets. My word of advice is to do it sooner than later. I could have save some bone loss. Secondly, this procedure is not cheap, but if your workplace has FSA or HSA you can put money in to, do it. That way you can use it for the overage in payment due beyond what your insurance will cover. Also, I has originally went to another place for a gum graft evaluation. Their price was so ridiculously expensive, that I could have purchased a new compact car with that amount. I left and never called them back. I do want to say Dr. Nguyen's cost for the procedure was fair and manageable for me even though it is an expensive procedure, but well worth it and necessary. From the beginning, staff was very helpful, kind, and professional. The dental hygienist that did not my teeth cleaning 7 weeks after the procedure was so thorough. One of the best cleaning I have had. Her attention to detail and patience to make sure all the stains and plaque was gone was superb. All Covid safety precautions are in place and the office has the special air filter units throughout the office. Dr. Nguyen is pleasant, very knowledgeable, and an experienced Periodontist. I had no pain after the procedure besides a swollen face for a few days which is normal. I went to work the next day. Dr. Nguyen made the procedure painless and easy and now my gums are looking great on the bottom and I am looking forward to getting the top half done in January.
