    Chips with guac
    Marissa C.

I only took 1 picture because everything here came out quick and was so delicious! Great location with plenty of parking! I got a burrito bowl with kale and it really surprised me. I typically don't love kale but they had a dressing and it really balanced everything out. The guac was fresh and so was the queso!

I have grown to love and crave Condado tacos so much! I'm originally from California so my first time going I was a little bit thrown off because I was expecting more authentic Mexican food. HOWEVER, I keep coming back because Condado puts a fun saucey twist on their tacos with lots of fun flavors, textures, and add ins that somehow works so well. Their tacos are a lot bigger too btw and so I only need two to fill me up. So I wouldn't go for authentic Mexican food, but I would go for a fun vibe, yummy drinks, to watch a game, and if you're craving good spunky food! The staff are all really nice and patient and willing to explain the menu because it was a little overwhelming at first. There's a bigger free parking lot in the back btw!

I've been here before but always forget to take pictures of my food. I wasn't that hungry this time but I always enjoy the ooey-gooey taco. It has a little kick to it but very good! It's a casual spot with cool murals on the walls. They're open late. Loved my margarita, it was delicious! I will definitely return and try more items off the menu.

I tried this place recently. You can wait for a table or sit in the bar. There are tvs with the games on. Staff is friendly and checks with you frequently. I decided to try their "Suggested Tacos" and it was a good suggestion. I went with the Korean BBQ, Braised + Confused, and Rango Tango tacos. Very flavorful with lots of toppings. I imagine many have requested it before because they provided a fork to scoop up the toppings that fall out. I ended up using it. I went on a Saturday so it was pretty full, but not too crowded. I'd definitely visit again to try their other items.

Rice Black Beans Bowl Base with carne asada

A fun, vibrant restaurant/ interior where you can enjoy a variety of fun, flavorful unique tacos. You also have the option of make your own taco with whatever filling you prefer. I love the make your own bowl option which is similar to chipotle but I think their toppings are superior. Lots of add ons to choose from and they really load it up! I recommend the carne asada and the habenero-mango and cilantro+lime aioli sauces for your bowl. A mix of sweet and spicy and creamy! We love getting a side of the pineapple guac + chips.

    Cool wall art.

This place had a pretty good vibe and the people who worked there contributed to that. The host was very friendly and social, and our server was great. I always enjoyed when a server is not just friendly but knowledgeable about the food and over the perfect amount of attentiveness. For these reasons I bumped my rating up to four stars. The food though was not something that really separates this place from other taco places. Don't get me wrong I love the twist they put on their menu with the Asian infusion and that they have vegan options on their menu but it just seemed to be missing something. I had build your own bowl which in it I put Thai tofu, black beans, rice, dirty sauce, and guacamole. I was good but the portion could have been a little bigger and wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. So in a nutshell we had five star service and three star food so I give this place four stars.

I love the electric vibe here! The walls are covered- corner to corner, floor to ceiling- with psychedelic art and graffiti. All of the art is painted by local artists at each Condado location. Let's talk food...As a picky eater, I enjoy the ability to build your own bowl/taco over the predesigned ones. There are numerous gluten free options and a few meatless choices. My go-to is customizing a bowl with lettuce or rice as the base. I wish they would bring back the jackfruit or roasted portobello mushrooms for the plant-based protein. I'm not a fan of the chili tofu on the current menu because it reminds me of Chinese sweet n sour chicken. Protein portions tend to always be on the small side. Service is friendly, fast and there is rarely a long wait even during peak hours. However, I'm usually disappointed because the food always comes out cold! The cheese on tacos or bowls tastes like it came out of the freezer and the protein is never warm. I'm also not a fan of the chips because they're unsalted and extremely thick and hard. I'm worried i might chip a tooth when eating them! They remind me more of pita chips. Salsas, sauces, and guacamole are great though and the margaritas are the best!! It's a very casual atmosphere but I think they could improve the dining experience by serving real silverware instead of plastic forks. If it wasn't for the cold food and skimpy protein portions, I would give Condado tacos a higher rating.

    Condado Taco menu

Great location, even better food! Our server, Alex, was awesome. He said he was new but you couldn't tell. He was knowledgeable about the menu, the spice level of the menu items, and the toast POS the restaurant used. He routinely checked in on us and joked around with us, which added to the chill, casual vibe of the restaurant. We ordered the three buds with our favorite corn salsa, garden salsa, and dirty salsa, all of which is great for appetizers. Even if you just want chips, Condado's has the best, and the garden salsa is the best for just raw original salsa. I am not a huge fan of spicy tacos or cheese (sacrilegious, ik) so I ordered the build you own, a nice feature of Condado's menu. The tacos were perfect. Every time I come here, they're perfectly crispy, not soggy, and made with a nice balance of ingredients. The only negative is parking. In the Michigan winters, especially on a day like today when we had a snow emergency and below-zero wind chills, the walk from the parking garage where you have to park to the restaurant is bitter, and when people hold the door open for large parties you can feel it through the whole restaurant. This is not Condado's fault, though, and Troy a great location for them, right by I-75. Been here before and definitely coming again.

Margarita flight - blood orange ginger, cranberry sage, jalapeño mango mint
    Emily C.

The one star is solely for the margaritas. We ordered flights and they were really good (on the sweet side though, so if you don't like that steer clear). After drinks it was all downhill. We ordered flights guac and chips for an appetizer, and it was a good amount of guac for the price but it was bland and really just tasted like mashed avocado. The pickled red onions on top saved it and we ordered more of them to mix in. It truly go worse from here....our server was very slow and they weren't busy at all. That should've been our clue as it was 7:00 on a Saturday night & they were able to accommodate 12 people on no notice. Back to the food...we all ordered tacos, and everyone had varying degrees of cold food. My two tacos were the Purple Haze (which I was so excited about) and the heater. Purple haze had chorizo, sweet chili sauce, etc. the sauce was soooo good. But the taco literally felt like they took it out of the fridge and delivered it to me. It was ice cold. They could have been sitting since we had a bigger group, but everyone's food was cold. Not just sitting around cold but refrigerated cold. I don't even eat the purple haze because the cold chorizo wasn't appetizing. The steak taco was a little better and I the coldness didn't take away from the flavors too much, but we were genuinely shocked by the temp of the food. I'm bummed because the margaritas were good so we were hopeful, but we won't be back.

Awful margarita, had to order shots of tequila to make it better.

To be fair, I am from LA and used to great Mexican food. If you don't know what is good Mexican food, you might like it here. I was staying in Troy and wanted to go out with my sister and we liked that they had outside seating and was open past 7 pm. We ordered the house margarita pitcher: it was disgusting! I could only taste sourness, there was no alcohol and it was pretty bad. We ended up leaving it. The tacos were ok: again, if you have never eaten Mexican, you might like it. I did not! I probably won't come back but the service was friendly and I did have a nice time chatting with my sister on the patio outside, so am going them 2 stars. Without that, it would be zero for me!

    Sweet Lucy taco
    Deanna D.

Very good service and menu items (thank you Jennifer L for explaining so much and making great recommendations to our group of 7). I had the BYO (build your own) taco ....the sweet Lucy with Tequila lime steak for $6.35 it was so filling after my delish Grand repo margarita and of course chips and salsa. We were admittedly afraid the prices would be high but satisfied they were reasonable and good portions. I'd go again!

    Swole Bowl
    Kody P.

First time visiting Condado Tacos recently, and they had plenty of seating indoors with a casual vibe to it all. They had numerous tacos to choose from but tonight I had the Korean BBQ taco and the swole bowl. Korean BBQ taco was sweet and tangy. I enjoyed how they used a soft tortilla over a hard taco tortilla. It added a nice crunch aspect on top of the soft textures of the meat and veggies. Swole bowl was very filling with a strong cheese flavor (could be a bit overpowering for some) from what you can see in the photo. Service was great. Worth a visit.

But other than that drinks and food came out pretty fast. 54 W. has a collaboration with Mojave Cantina for food, so you can't go wrong because Mojave is delicious! Drinks and food were all tasty! The place has their own bathrooms - two unisex single stall restrooms. Not sure if it was the big group and I missed it? But didn't know if they had a drink menu? We sat at the bar and had to wait a while before even getting menus. This kind of service continued for the rest of the night and we honestly felt ignored and forgotten. Once we got our food (we ordered the Tacos Mexicanos) we had to wait again for silverware. The bartender never came by to check on us after receiving our food so we ended up having to flag down a different server. And then instead of being able to ask the bartender for a margarita, I had to flag down a different server AGAIN to put my drink order in. This place seemed super hectic and disorganized. Food runners did not seem to know where they were going and had to yell across the place to ask the servers who ordered the food they were carrying. Not sure if they don't number their tables but it was super distracting and made them look unprofessional. The food itself was mediocre. This is the outdoor space behind Mojave Cantina so they share a menu/kitchen. I thought the meats were quite dry and needed some acid or some kind of brightness to wake them up. I thought the space itself was really cute though. And I love a themed out bathroom and the sliding doors with the hook locks were super fun. Overall, probably would not come back to 54 West.

We had a few options for private rooms, but they suggested the main dining area for the lighting, which was really nice. There were multiple linen options we were able to choose from (pink options in pic) and these were included in the total cost. The whole room was set up according to how many seats we wanted at each table and they were fully prepared for us to start decorating as soon as we arrived. The personal bartender also arrived early and prepped the station long before guests arrived. The food was all delicious. We had buffet style (set up shown in one picture by fireplace). Way too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures of food. The buffet was about 10 minutes later than expected, but there was a party of 80 at the same time and no one seemed bothered by this. We chose chicken tenders and fries for the kids attending and this was promptly served about 15 minutes before the buffet so the parents were able to help feed before getting their own food. Rolls- really classic white bread rolls. Exactly what you want. Green beans - these were sooo good! Very buttery and surprising! Potatoes- hasselback style, cut in halves. Also so buttery and perfectly salted. Tuscan chicken- thin sliced chicken breasts with sun dried tomato and a creamy Tuscan sauce. This was extremely delicious. Salmon- I cannot remember the flavor we chose but perfectly cooked and flavorful, cut into about 1.5" pieces so it didn't feel overwhelming to choose one of everything. Salad - classic salad with tomato and cucumber. We chose a ranch and vinaigrette. The table had Parmesan cheese, half and half creamer, sugar, and butter available. They allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes as dessert ($1/person) and served regular/ decaf coffee with this. This room could definitely fit more people. Our set up was 6 round tables of 6 but they were very flexible with how we wanted these set up and number of chairs per table. Overall, great experience. I can't wait to come back for dinner!
