All the food that we had was delicious. The curled corn was to die for. Everything was very fresh as well. We had the shrimp ceviche and guacamole as apps and they were both delicious. The barbacoa tacos were delicious as well. This place would have been a 4 Or 5 for me but my friend found a hair in her fish tacos :-( they were great about taking it off the bill but didn't seem that apologetic about it. I think it's definitely worth a try.

Unfortunately , I'm not easily impressed because I have been continuously disappointed with the food scene in SE Michigan, but Corktown and Ferndale do have great Mexican fare. Well maybe BHam is turning a new leaf for lunch with Employee Meal because I have to say this is the best Mexican I've had in a long time and has to be among the best in the metro area. The second best feature is the prices.... $10-12 lunch tacos. The third best feature is the experience with the clean, cozy and tastefully decorated inside as well as the very considerate staff who easily accommodated our kid. And true to their name, the music was well chosen and appropriate for dining. Not the typical BHam daytime nightclub vibe! What a pleasurable, naw, awesome lunch! What we had: Chips and guacamole - delicious, well seasoned, chunky Arroz and frijoles - delicious Barbacoa - delicious Arabe - delicious

Second leg of the food crawl. This is a trendy, fairly new Mexican spot. Also, not very big in size with an open kitchen and bar in the middle. On a Friday night, we were seated right away. The table next to us had fries that looked amazing! I asked them how they were and they said we should definitely get them! So, of course, we obliged! They were the duck fat fries with cotija cheese and they were, indeed, amazing! We also opted for dry rubbed lamb ribs with lemon and garlic jus. They were really good as well! The ambiance definitely gives off fun, free and upbeat. Our service was good as well. I'd go again and try some other things off the menu. Check it out if you've never been and see how you like it.

Checked out this spot recently while waiting for a table at market. We got seated immediately, staff was attentive. Liked the decor indoor with the mirrors, pretty good ambience. Great for date night! Ordered bronzini entree for $36 which came without any sides. The fish was whole and fried and had picked onion which I didn't like as a pairing. The fish itself was unseasoned and quite plain. Ordered a side of rice and beans. The rice was hard and crunchy at times. The beans were good. Overall average food, toss up and whether I would return.

My friends and I met at EM for an impromptu lunch. It was pretty good. The decor is clean and contemporary. They added a little nostalgia through photographs in the entry and interior. The host and server staff were very friendly. The menu... ok. So the menu is both confusing and simple at the same time. There is a meat of the day and some core items. Those core items are suggested with the Trompo (meat of the day) but you can sub them out. They also have a fried cauliflower option if youre an omnivore. My friends loved the curled corn, I didnt try it. The octopus was delish and the cocktails were good.

I love this place. The music is amazing and gives off a Miami vibe. EM also serves all of my fave things: ceviche, octopus and fried snapper. The drinks were perfect and I can't wait to go back! So fun!

Wow, the reviews are true! This place was so good. Loved the birria tacos and guac. Went for lunch so didn't try the margs but will in the future. And look how cute the decor is! Love it there.

My husband and I decided to try this place out on a Friday evening. We didn't have reservations but got to the restaurant fairly early so we were seated right away. The restaurant itself is small but cozy. Drinks were really good but the star was the ceviche. We ordered the fish ceviche and it was so flavorful. We also ordered the octopus, it wasn't the best, I've had better. For our entrees I ordered the chicken taquitos and my husband got the tacos, both were really tasty. The restaurant was packed by the time we left so I would recommend making reservations if going during prime dinner hours. We will definitely be back!

The parking can be tricky too. All of the parking behind the building are reserved. Even in the parking garage. And if you take a wrong turn you end up in a dead end. With that said, this place was very cute. There were vibrant paintings on the walls. They have a bad area that is fairly well stocked. They offer a variety of beers on draft too. No wine though. They specialize in margaritas (surprise surprise). You can order a flight or just singles. They offer frozen or on the rocks and they have quite a decent selection. They also offer Happy hour until 6 pm. Our server was amazing. He was very polite and explained the menu well. We started with chips, salsa, queso, and corn salsa. All were incredible! They are known for their double decker Tacos. They are a hard shell taco wrapped in a tortilla. I wasn't sure about this but they were FANTASTIC! I ordered the chicken Bacon ranch and the Purple Haze, which is done with brisket. The food was so good that it was well worth the hassle getting there.

My husband and I ordered the pork and chicken tacos with crispy shells (don't remember the exact names), along with the street corn and chips. Unfortunately, the food didn't really meet our expectations. It felt more like elevated bar food than authentic tacos. There was just too much going on with the ingredients, and the flavors didn't quite come together for us. We've definitely had better tacos elsewhere. That said, the service was quick and our server was attentive throughout the meal, which we appreciated. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, it just wasn't our taste when it came to the food.

I ordered a burrito along with chips and salsa, rice, and beans, and everything was absolutely delicious. The rice and beans were especially good--I ended up eating them with my nacho chips and it was the perfect combo. The burrito was packed with flavor and made just right, which is exactly what you hope for when trying a different location. The only small difference I noticed compared to the West Bloomfield location is that there, they brought out the chicken and salsa right away with the drink cup and even provided a container to dump the chips into. That said, it's a very minor detail and definitely doesn't take away from how great the food was here. Overall, Taco Bros on Woodward delivers the same high‑quality, tasty experience I've come to expect. I'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for solid, flavorful tacos and burritos.

This is the Royal Oak spot. I ordered the burrito with al pastor, rice, beans, lettuce and tomatoes, ran about $13-14. The al pastor tasted like a marinated rip off, the kind that's cooked on the flat iron once a day and dropped into metal bins with pre-measured scoops, instead of shaved off a traditional trompo (the vertical rotisserie, the spinning top). Not the real thing. One thing I'll give them is the service was A+. The manager or owner was nice and very polite. The wait was fast too, ordered and out in under 6 minutes. Price was decent for what it is. If you're craving "authentic" Mexican it's worth a try, mostly because the quick service options in this area are pretty limited.
