Great Dining Experience! Not only did each and every single taco I ordered taste extremely good, all the food was brought out quickly (even through the restaurant was nearly full). I also was impressed with the service, our waitress was a pro at explaining menu choices and making suggestions. If you come here I also 100% recommend getting the Skywalker Nachos as they were delicious and loaded well. I wouldn't give many 5 star ratings to restaurants in this area but this Condado has well earned it. read more

I'm a big fan of Condado where I live (Metro Detroit area). Was visiting friends here this weekend and we were planning on First Watch for brunch, but it was super busy apparently, so we went to Condado instead. I had a make-your-own taco with braised brisket, pineapple salsa, and more, and also one of the premade possibilities, I forget which one. Both were delicious. Condado is a bit expensive, about $5-6 per taco, but is always tasty. At home I used to get the Bud Box, which was maybe $13-14, and it included two of the preset tacos plus a half size of guac or queso, and chips; it was always a ton of food. One of our Cincy friends said this location offers that for lunch too, and I'd presume takeout as well, during the week. Overall I'd return to this Condado location - my only small gripe is that half of our party of 8 got their meals first, and the rest came out maybe 5 minutes later. Waited over a half hour for two tacos on a to-go order when the website said it'd be ready in 10 minutes. All the hostess said when I walked in was "it's gonna be a few minutes" when it took over 20 minutes. No updates on the reason for the holdup. I am very sympathetic for what restaurant workers have to go through but I at least expect some update on why I'm having to wait... especially for something as simple as tacos that I could probably put together in a couple minutes. Plenty of better options on Mason Montgomery rd if you want good Tex-mex food. read more

We have been to many Tex Mex places over the years, and Condado is pretty good. Their tacos have your choice of different shells. Hard shell, soft, double decker with cheese, chorizo, soft on hard, hard on soft, you name it. What they put in the tacos are also good, from Korean BBQ to shrimp. On this trip, we got a K BBQ bowl and three tacos. Ooey gooey, k BBQ, and shrimp. The service was fast and friendly, though I suppose for lunch there were more Doordashers than there were diners. As a result, the place was pretty empty, but otherwise very airy and comfortable space. Their bathrooms are funny. On the door of men's was painted "No Exit." Anyway, everything was fresh and tasty, with only one minor issue. The white rice in my k BBQ bowl was soggy. I suppose I have a very high bar for rice, given my heritage and all, but it seems like their rice was made with too much water. As a result it was somewhere between thick porridge and rice cake when it should've been fluffy. I also wish they had brown rice instead of white. Better texture that way. And also, they probably should've used long grain instead of medium, as the latter tends to get soggy more easily and don't serve as a bed for a bowl as well. And for a high protein bowl, the amount of white rice was a little too much filler. Perhaps offer an option of rice on the side? Still, the flavor was good. The pineapple and mango salsas were both delicious and fresh. The pulled pork wasn't fatty. We'd go back. read more

The meal was $20 and very filling. I ordered on the app and the staff was friendly when I arrived. They checked on my order and then brought it out when ready. Server was nice, and tacos were yummy. I like how many of the tacos had the corn and then flour taco around it. The basic ground beef one had some heat, which was surprising. Served warned hubby the shrimp one was hot, and she was right! Chicken ranch one was really good; the bacon was a great addition. I got the skinny pineapple margarita. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Honestly wasn't sure what I was walking into other than tacos. Admittedly their prices are a bit steep however you get what you pay for. These are not basic tacos. They're extremely well made and full of the finest ingredients. I ordered 3 and almost couldn't finish but at the same time wanted 3 more. The server stood with us and explained every last detail to help us decide what we might liking to eat and what we got was amazing. Here is the thing.. they aren't chipotle- they aren't agave and rye. they have completely separate flavors- I have seen reviews comparing them and I just feel there isn't much comparison because of the flavors. We had delivery but o can say the service was great because everything was made correctly, nothing was missing. The good: (2) heater tacos (2) Lucy's Fire tacos- they were pretty good, would have loved more sauce- but you take what you get when ordering delivery :) We also got three bowls. One had brisket, one was chicken and the other was pork. All with similar toppings. The pickled onions are great as is the chimichurri sauce. So flavorful and garlicky. I wish the proteins of each had more flavor, they were very plain. We weren't a fan of the crunchy rice- unsure if that is the norm with it being crisped but it tasted more burnt than a regular crispy rice. The great: The margaritas. Very flavorful- we liked them a lot and being able to order them with our delivery was 10/10. Cute packaging- I'm a sucker for good packaging The bad: The house salsa was awful. It was like red water soup. No flavor. No heat. The chips were rock hard and stale & I love thicker chips. The queso.. it tasted like melted white American with no seasoning or flavor- that was so disappointing because we love a good queso! We will give them another try in person. It really wasn't even that busy at 6:30 on a Saturday, and at 7:50 even less so but my kids still don't have their food but we did get a update that it's "one of the next ones". White couple comes in after and sits down right next to me. They are immediately seen and acknowledged. Asked if they wanted corn salsa. Order taken immediately. Order placed immediately. Disposition of the bartender was much more energetic and attentive. I commented the Blood Orange Margarita was extremely sweet when the menu shows a flame to signify heat/hot. Bartender did not offer to replace or remake. Offered "more ginger". I left half the drink there clearly unhappy. She charged full price. Was a fan and I work right across the street at P&G Mason site. VP level. Won't be back...at least to this one. I used to get visibly upset and sometimes make a scene to just make a point. Too old and mentally/emotionally exhausted now. I just never return and influence those I know not to go. Won't bring my team for happy hours anymore. Server didn't give any extra napkins with our food, set up the table, fill any waters, or even ask how our appetizer was. Between the three of us at the table we only ordred 5 tacos. We finally got our food after sitting for nearly an hour and asked for the check immediately. When I tried to pay she snatched away the POS before I could sign so she could see the tip and then made a stank face at it even though I tipped 15%? I had to fight her for the device back just so I could sign my bill. She did the same thing with my friend and then threw her card on the table. Afterwards she went to her coworker and complained and pointed to us so we could see. After reading all the other reviews, everyone is spot on. This place is good, nothing spectacular, but solid food. If I were to go back, I would definitely get the chips and dips in a bigger side. The queso was extra excellent; the guac and street corn were also quite good. The actual tacos all felt like they were trying too hard. They were good, but for their 'favorites' I was disappointed. I've been to this place twice. The first time was 3 years ago. I thought it was terrible. I tried it again a few nights ago with same conclusion. Chips are ok. I don't care for the cheese dip but it's not terrible. The pineapple salsa is decent. The chicken firehouse taco was not good. The taco wrap seemed as though it was frozen, then microwaved and when it came out some spots were still cold and other spots were soggy. The iced tea was undrinkable it was so bad. Had a good experience here for a business lunch. We were able to get in, eat and get out in ~1 hour for 6 people. The food and Condado is the same across locations, which is nice to know what to expect. Our waitress was attentive and the space clean. The say we went they had the windows and doors open which was nice to have the open air. I opted for a build-your own bowl - which all their bowls are very rice heavy - but you leave feeling full. It's been a *hot second* since I've been to Condados, and boy, have things changed. Well, to be honest, this is my first time in the Mason location. I've been a couple times to the Downtown one. We went in on a Sunday evening, and this place was almost busy. We were seated quickly. We were given waters. We were asked if we wanted chips. Just as we said chips and guac, a half minute later, the chips and guac were in our table. Our server came in to note our orders. My friend got 3 different tacos (I completely forgot which ones). I got a custom bowl with tofu in it. Again, a minute later, the food was here. Now, I love the efficiency, but how is the food coming in so quick? The bowl tasted alright. Complain: everything was cold. I liked the flavors though. Before we finished our meal, the bill was here. I understand the place is almost busy, but why is this weird rush? Something not completely within the staffs control. The food: order basic queso and guacamole as a starter. It was ok I've had better but I've also had much worse. Neither tasted freshly made. The taco I ordered was a build your own. I prefer veggie tacos or fish tacos when eating out. Fish was not an option so vegetarian it was. Portobello mushroom, cilantro and onions. I was not provided the option for salsa or cheese and I believe the server should have asked me if it was available (and it was). The glass the water was brought in was dirty. We loved the open air seating and the good safety measures in place this summer. The staff wore masks, gloves and we felt well distanced from others. And the food was everything our friends built up. The chips and salsa are good, fresh and so tempting that I almost should not have ordered anything else. But of course I did, I had the Braised and Confused with the chipotle sauce in the side. It was delicious. The beef was well seasoned and perfectly cooked, not over done or "I sat around the warmer tough" and the picked onion (I'm generally not an onion fan) was surprisingly good. I assume they were short staffed, because they certainly had plenty of open tables. The hostess eventually asked if we'd like an indoor or outdoor table. We asked for indoor because the sun was intense. They put us at a table with the sun shining directly into our faces with no shade to pull down. The food was just average. Not great, not terrible.
