Subcontractors and vendors should exercise caution before accepting work from Madewell Concrete LLC, ConcreteDriveway.com LLC, Concrete Driveway Co, American Driveway, or any related company.
Our company completed three projects assigned by this organization. The homeowners expressed no concerns regarding our work, and the projects were completed to their satisfaction. Nevertheless, we have not received payment for the completed work.
We also have statements and testimony from homeowners confirming that they paid the contracting companies in full. Certain homeowners have further stated that they believe they were charged excessive amounts for their driveway projects. Despite receiving full payment from the homeowners, the companies have not paid us for the subcontracting work we completed.
While these payments remained outstanding, the company continued sending us additional work orders and emphasizing the completion of new projects. When we requested payment for the jobs already completed, communications became increasingly difficult. Our telephone calls and emails went unanswered, and certain telephone contacts were disconnected or otherwise became unavailable.
Based on our experience, the payment problem may not be limited to our company. We understand that concrete-pumping and line-pump providers have also reported unpaid invoices. We strongly encourage subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment providers to obtain clear written agreements, verify the exact contracting entity, and require appropriate payment protections before furnishing labor, materials, or equipment.
The companies with which we dealt included Madewell Concrete LLC and ConcreteDriveway.com LLC, Concrete Driveway Co., which also conducted business under or in connection with American Driveway. The representatives identified to us during these transactions included:
* Kevin Johnston -- identified in company records as a registered agent and organizer
* Cody Snyder -- purchasing agent
* Nadia Pelini -- regional operations manager
* Jose Rayo -- director of subcontractors
We have retained the relevant work orders, invoices, project communications, photographs, payment requests, and homeowner statements supporting this account. This review reflects our direct business experience and information communicated to us by the affected homeowners. It is being shared so that other subcontractors, vendors, and consumers can conduct careful due diligence before doing business with these companies.
In our experience, the projects were completed and the homeowners paid the contracting companies, but we were not paid for the subcontracting work we performed. Until all outstanding balances are resolved, we cannot recommend doing business with these companies. read more
