Aneil Kernay is VP of Concraft and I can tell you from first hand experience he comes off as a charming person, but he is very dishonest, and will try to steal EVERY POSSIBLE PENNY from you. To give an example, he bought property that was previously damaged by fire and repaired by his company and rents it out. He has his own company come out to make up random charges to try and take every penny. Simple wear and tear such as holes from a TV, hanging pictures on the wall, curtains etc, things every apartment owner would expect when someone lives in your property, he will have his team from Concraft come out and quote OUTRAGEOUS things. He stole $1500 from me on confabulated claims. Once he gets the money he will dodge your calls or you reaching out. The VP of this company is a very slimly person. Be warned. read more

While having lunch at Mike's on the Water in St. Clair Shores, I noticed several Concraft vehicles parked at the establishment. Around 5:00 PM, as I was leaving, I was driving behind a white Ford Maverick (Vehicle #110). The driver appeared to be impaired based on her behavior while navigating the parking lot and traveling along Jefferson Avenue. I understand that appearances can sometimes be misleading, but the driving behavior I observed raised serious concerns regarding public safety. As a company that promotes rebuilding lives and serving the community, I hope Concraft takes reports of potentially unsafe driving seriously and reviews the matter internally. My intention is not to make accusations, but rather to bring attention to conduct that could place both the public and your company at risk read more

My condo flooded last year due to a hot water pipe that burst. Concraft is the team the management company chose for the large task of fixing and restorating the damage from the flood. Dakota has been there through the renovation. There was a hold up on my end and the team was patient while I got everything figured out. Dakota has been knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, patient and extremely helpful. He has been sure to answer all of my questions and promptly address any issues. Give that guy a raise! The project is now coming to a close and my condo looks amazing. From headache to excitement over the new place. Thank you so much! read more

was initially impressed by the response and prompt action taken on my repair. I became frustrated at the lack of follow up from the company . I was told on two separate occasions that I would receive a call to schedule a team to come out to repair/research my water issues. I wasted an entire day and rescheduled my day waiting for a team to come out. Which they never did! After repeated calls to Concraft I was told that they do not do the service that they had previously told me they did! Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in the actions of this company. now I'm back to square one! read more

Excellent company...High recommend. People are kind, efficient...Project manager and crew were more than professional. I needed my garage and brick damage done by a specific date...Manager pitched in and restoration complete. Highly recommend...Worked with Kendra, Tai, Anythony, and a little with Cameron. I would recommend and use ConCraft in the future without reservation! read more

ConCraft is the worst, least efficient company I have ever been forced to work with. We lost our condo to a house fire back in March, our insurance forced us to use ConCraft. They said our condo would be done in 6-8 months. 9 months later, they keep extending it. That is, whenever we are able to get in touch with them. Our project manager, Josh, not only dodges phone calls and never returns them, he also comes up with lies about how he has been communicating with the property owners, which the property owners say they haven't heard from him. We have been displaced from our house fire for almost 10 months now and Josh's response to my inquiring about the renovation completion date so we don't end up homeless was, "I am not obligated to discuss the progress of the condo with you." Thanks buddy!! Horrible, incompetent, useless, unethical, corrupt company. Please hire anybody else. A teenage boy looking for a summer job could rebuild a condo faster than these clowns. read more

We had a kitchen fire last year and ConCraft was the contractor assigned by our insurance company to restore the damage. I cannot say enough positive things about how the restoration job was performed. The ConCraft project manager and his crew were efficient and professional throughout the entire process. Every step of the restoration process was explained in specific detail. The quality of ConCraft's work was exceptional! Mark Dubey is a great Project Manager. He is a great communicator, he kept us informed of every aspect of the restoration job. And he's an exceptional listener and does everything to try and minimize the inconvenience of the restoration disruption. I would recommend and use ConCraft in the future without any reservations! Very satisfied with the work completed and with the ConCraft team. read more

I felt like I was just an inconvenience to them from the very beginning. The first day, they barged in and acted like they owned the place. I had worked late the night before and was still asleep at 8 am or so. They literally walked into my bedroom and started working while I was still in bed! They didn't knock and they didn't even attempt to at least be polite about it. Just a "Hey, sorry to wake you but we've really got to get going" would've made a huge difference. All along, they acted as if they were doing me a favor. That was the vibe. At the time, we did have lots of storms and water damage in the area, so I can understand that they would be backed up with jobs. However, my condo is less than 1,200 sq ft and, after drying the place out, it really just needed new laminate flooring (not hardwood or anything difficult or expensive) and a single coat of paint. I lived in a hotel for 3 months just for that. Btw, I am usually not a picky person at all. I can't remember even complaining about anything at a restaurant, for example. I give people the benefit of the doubt. It's actually kind of hard to piss me off. My overwhelming impression was that they were only concerned about the insurance money. It's as if I didn't exist. I didn't matter. When they finally finished 3+ months later, they didn't even attempt to make the place look like it did before. The word "restoration" didn't really come to mind. I don't expect perfection, but 5 minutes of half-assed rearranging would've gone a long way. For example, there was an old dresser in one of my closets that was left by the previous owner. They obviously had to move it out of the closet at first to work in the closet, but it's still in the middle of the room. I live alone, so I can't exactly move large pieces of furniture by myself. My couches were just shoved to one side of the room, along with my coffee table and end tables, kitchen table/ chairs. I noticed pieces of cardboard underneath the couch, so I assumed that I could slide the couches safely. Again, I live alone so I had nobody to help me. When I tried to slide the big couch, it scuffed the new flooring. I guess I'll take responsibility for that, but they could've done much better. I don't think they care. They also didn't put my dryer back the way it was. My washer and dryer are inside of a closet area with sliding doors in front. They faced out, naturally. When I got home, the dryer was facing sideways. I can still get to it, but that's just ridiculous. They couldn't have been any less professional. It's as if they didn't even acknowledge the strain that this whole situation put on my life, like having to live in a hotel for 3 months. Again, it was clear to me that they were only concerned with the insurance money. I've never seen a company care less. You almost have to try to be this bad. read more

Awful and rude company. I have dealt with them for 4 months now and nothing has been done yet. Please contact me at cpashelly2@gmail.com

We had been waiting several weeks for Concraft to clean our basement after a flood in June. When we finally had a confirmed date, they gave us less than 24-hours notice that we were being pushed to the back of the line. Would never use them again. read more

This is a company I've hired many times (as Property Manager). They are very well qualified and capable and responsive. My recent situation was someone having the Corona Virus and I needed the Concraft team to go out and sanitize the building. The owners wrote me to say they were on top of it and everything was clean and fresh. They also were on the site within one hour of hiring them. Thanks for always coming through for me! read more

I used Concraft for mold remediation in our home even though they we were far more expensive than all the other quotes I received. Choosing Concraft was a big mistake I will not soon forget. Many of the rooms they remediated had mold levels higher when they finished than the initial levels before they began. To make matters worse they were deceptive and attempted to cover up the higher levels from me, the homeowner. Much of their so-called remediation was no more than a normal house cleaning except they didn't do nearly as good of a job as my house cleaner and instead of costing $150.00 they were closer to $15,000.00 You probably want to avoid these folks. read more

If I could give them a 0 or -0 they would receive it! Home caught on fire in Bloomfield Hills MI in October of 2015 and we are just moving back in March of 2017. Jason, the foreman when he showed up lied and was very deceptive with our parents who are in their 80's. Terrible workmanship, poor quality materials and a company that doesn't feel any sense of urgency for the customer. This may be the worst company out in the market today. Missed appointments, no return calls, arguing with senior citizens that have been displaced from their home because of a neighbor that started a fire. This experience continues today still with another neighbor who lost her home as well. We have moved back in partially and have many items that are not completed. The response has been "you signed off so it's your problem ". DO NOT LET YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FORCE YOU TO USE THIS COMPANY!!! You will regret it. read more

Insurance restoration requires the estimators to be familiar with the insurance company and their agents. Concraft is a professional company who has the clients best interest in mind. The two stars are because they came out quickly to get a tree branch off our roof and tarp the hole so additional damage wouldn't occur. Both the tree guys and the carpenter were subcontractors who did a good job while onsite. Dealing with Concraft directly was unpleasant. I called the office to schedule them to come out to do a quote to repair the damage and the woman at the office was incredibly rude and condescending. They also refused to give me, their customer, any information about cost and said it all had to go directly to the insurance company before I was allowed to see it. They wouldn't discuss the type/quality of materials or who would be doing the roofing work with me until after they settled my claim for me with the insurance company. This was incredibly presumptuous that I would go with their quote to do the work and nonsensical to not discuss the contractor actually doing the work so I could look into whether they are reputable and also refusing to let me know which type/brand of shingle that would be used until after payment was issued from the insurance company. The cost to take the branch off the house and tarp the hole was over double what we expected (and double what a number of my colleagues expected - I work for an insurance company so we see the cost for this type of work daily). When I finally did get a copy of the invoice (after attitude about how I could get it from the insurance company instead), they only sent a partial invoice. I later received the full document from our adjuster so I could see why we were charged what they charged us for. At the end of the day, I had no confidence that they had our best interest in mind and instead came away with the feeling that their primary concern was getting as much money from my insurance company as possible. Whether that was the true motive, I don't know, but the combative customer service and withholding of information was odd. read more
