I recently had the privilege of working with Mason and Ryan on the sale of my house. At first I was nervous about our first meeting because they are a high end, boutique real estate company and I felt my house would not measure up to their standards. Concierge realty group sold our house at 3651 Padua Ave. in Claremont. It was a unique 95 year old brick Tudor remodeled by Hartman Baldwin maintaining the character and style of the house. It is a corner lot with old growth oaks, sycamore, crape myrtle like trees and meadows full of seasonal and perennials. Garden paths winded through the garden between meadows and under the shades of majestic trees. The house and garden needed to be ready to show this property at its best. Ryan from Concirge Reality took charge of spotting, and fixing what was necessary. Vendors like plumbers, electrician, and handyman needed to be scheduled to fix and repair stuff. Ryan scheduled vendors, gardners and landscaper to get the house and property to look it's best on the day of open house. The house needed to be prepared for sale in a short time. Concierge helped us all the way through the process and marketed our special property so well that it received three offers all above asking and two of them with cash offers. We have sold a few properties in the past. This property was unique and needed proper marketing. Concierge did a fantastic job of marketing to sale the property in 50 days from day of decision to sale to close of escrow. In response to Mason Prophet's reply: (1) In both cases when I was met with silence and awkward eye contact, both realtors were unoccupied, not engaging with anyone in the vicinity. This was why the experience stood out and felt so jarring. We have attended many open houses, busy or quiet; none so strangely welcoming to some and unwelcoming to others as this one hosted by you and associate. (2) Even though neither you nor the associate initiated a greeting, I had a question about how to make an offer as independent buyers and thus spoke with her at the end. We did not mention having someone do our paperwork as you claimed in the reply. Your associate may have misremembered, since she initiated to represent us as our buyer agent before understanding our intention. In the brief exchange, she told us that we should write to you directly as independent buyers. We wrote to you with an offer on Tuesday or by the instructed due date. Yes, that initial email was kept relatively brief, because it was a simple, cash offer. We weren't sure what else your agency would need other than a bank statement, so the email was also a way for us to find out, as stated to you, any relevant documents we would need to submit. You wrote back on Wednesday stating simply that the house is closed or about to go into escrow. You did not mention the sellers' feedback in the corresponding emails. All in all, based on our experiences with you and the associate, we did not find the services provided typical or professional.
