This is the best restaurant I've tried since being in Atlanta for a few months! The conch burger was delicious! The bun was soft, lettuce crisp, perfect amount of sauce, burger wasn't packed with filler. It was so good! 10/10 will definitely be back to try the conch salad. Amazing authentic Bahamian cuisine. I order the whole snapper, which comes with a spicy vinegar sauce on the side. They have pretty good sides. Wouldn't recommend the rice. I loooove this Bahamian spot! The food is sooooo good. I tried their oxtails, cabbage, Mac and cheese and Johnny cake and rum cake. The taste was out of this world, I've tried oxtails so many different ways but no this way. The gravy is so good. I could eat the gravy of anything lol. The Mac and cheese was good. The cabbage has a really nice spice to it. The second time I went the cabbage wasn't spicy at all, I guess it depends on who makes it. Stumbled across here getting food for someone else and I had to come back, literally a Bahamian restaurant in the middle of "nowhere" ! I love conch and never expected to find it near Atlanta! I got the fried conch and shrimp with dinner with mac and cheese. Man it was delicious, I have never had conch just melt in my mouth like butter and the sauce that came with it was very addicting. I came across Conch Heaven while visiting family in the Atlanta area. I was so pleased with the food and service that I ate there two more times before returning to Charlotte. I miss authentic Bahamian food so much that I had family members bring back a platter of cracked conch, conch salad, and conch fritter from Conch Heaven in Atlanta to Charlotte after a recent trip there. I told the lady that took my order my plan and she made sure that everything was well packed for the journey. I have been enjoying my cracked conch and conch for the past few days. Conch Heaven in Riverdale. I'm a regular customer that enjoys your Cracked Conch. Your restaurant is very clean and well presented. But one thing is OFF. The bearded guy working the register needs some customer service training immediately. Every time I encounter him he seems disinterested in serving me. I was wondering what did I do to this guy because his demeanor is pretty consistent each time I encounter him. He is very unwelcoming and comes across as if he doesn't want to be there. He should realize that his role as a cashier is to do more than just take orders and process transactions. Sometimes customers may have questions about the menu items, and he should be happy to explain and describe them. The menu lists Chicken Souse under the selection of Soups. So if I asked him how is Chicken Souse prepared...Is it really like a chicken soup?" Why did he stare at me like I'm crazy and respond in a dry manner, "No, it's a souse." Clearly I'm not familiar with what Bahamians call souse...That's why asked the question. Plus I felt like it was a struggle for him to provide a detailed description. He even said that he didn't know why they put it under Soup... "Duhhh!" I had to keep asking him questions because what he was saying sounded like it was very "soupy" to me. All I could say is, "You are confusing me." In a matter-of-fact tone he then tells me he told me everything that is included in Chicken Souse, and reminded me that it is not a soup so he doesn't know why I'm confused. As a result, I decided to get my usual which was the Cracked Conch and Peas & Rice. I decided to stay there and eat, because I was the only person dining there. Do you know that for the 45 minutes I was there, he never once came over to find out if I was enjoying my food, nor did he even offer me a sample of the Chicken Souse? He was not busy and definitely was utilizing his cell phone. I just feel that this was weird energy and a missed opportunity for him to provide excellent customer service. I shared my experience on Facebook and other people said they knew exactly who I was talking about because they received similar treatment from him. So this is why I am here writing this unfavorable review with hopes that an owner/manager/the cashier will see it and it motivates you all to improve. Honestly, I want to continue to patronize your restaurant, but when I think about his unwelcoming reception coupled by our uncomfortable and confusing conversation it makes me want to stop giving you my money. My coworker took me to Conch Heaven for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is nice, clean and bright on the inside with a Caribbean theme. I ordered Jerk Chicken with Steamed Cabbage, Rice & Peas, and Plantains. The lunch special only comes with a meat and one side so the lady at the counter kindly suggested I order a dinner plate, which comes with three sides, instead of the lunch special because that would come out cheaper. My pockets and I thanked her . She was so sweet...I wished I remembered her name. The food was delicious. The jerk chicken was baked instead of smoked and I could tell the difference but it was still good. It was also spicier than the jerk chicken I usually eat. It wasn't too spicy that I couldn't eat it but it was more tolerable for me after the food cooled down a bit. The steamed cabbage was perfect and I enjoyed the rice & peas and plantains. My coworker let me try his rum cake and it was really good. But be warned...I could definitely taste the rum lol. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the food . Pretty good authentic Bahamian food. I ordered the cracked conch & shrimp with Mac & cheese and rice & peas. The conch and shrimp was good. Not tough and chewy and had good flavor. The sides were average. Mac and cheese noodles were really soft (as if they were over cooked) and rice and peas needed more flavor. I will be back though, because I believe the sides were a one off. Food was OK. Service was lackluster and didn't get all my items. Went back 2nd time and it was not much better. The guy behind the counter gave me grief about my missing item from the week before. The owner was called by a friend and she came out and made sure I got my order correct. I had to ask for my receipt to make sure everything I ordered was in my bag. It wasn't. My dad is Bahamian so I was raised on real Bahamian food. I've had conch salad in the states before and it's always overpriced, chewy and usually just has conch and onions with too much lime juice. Conch Heaven is just that ... heaven. My husband had the conch fritters and fish sandwich. He said the fritters has a lot of conch and finished them all in about two seconds. I had cracked conch and fries. It tasted just like it was from Dirty's or the Bamboo Shack in Nassau. All I needed was a brown bag. The Johnny cake was real Johnny cake, not a corn bread poser.
