The food is well seasoned and delicious!! My favorite spot to come to when I come to Miami. Very authentic.

We were in the area and decided to stop on for a quick authentic Bahamian snack. We parked in the back of the building and accessed the building from the rear entry. From this entry point, takeout orders are placed in a designated area. We immediately noticed that there were renovations that had taken place since we were last in. There is a counter and a tv behind the bar that displays the live band that is on site in the main dining area! There were menus available for grabs across the bar and there are bar stools and a few tables available for you to occupy while you order and/or wait on your order. We ordered the seafood combination (3) which comes with 3 seafood options and a side order. We ordered double fried shrimp, cracked conch and a side of fries. The order is cooked to order, and was available in less than 10 minutes which is a plus. The order comes with a few pairing sauces, utensils and napkins.

I've had them bookmarked for years. I just decided to finally stop in. They were friendly when we came in. The air was booming! It was freezing in here, coming from a person who sleeps with air in the winter, from Chicago! Anywho, we dined in and ordered oxtails and jerk chicken. It took the food about 20mins to come out, but when it did, it was piping hot! Which I can definitely appreciate. I hadn't eaten all day, so I was eager to get this food in my belly. It didn't disappoint! My oxtails were very tender and seasoned really well. These were the best oxtails I've had in a restaurant in a very long time. Only negative, is their portions are a little small. They should up the price and give us more. It's ok, I just have to come back for more!!!

In on a Thursday at 5:30 for dinner. 3% Non Cash Adjustment. Music is loud. Second time here. Not busy. ORDERED: Conch Fritters (6) $7 Good Cracked Conch with 3 sides $25 Peas & Rice, Lettice & tomatoes & Johnny Cake. Cake very flat. Brought it home. I have had cracked conch in Miami and the Bahamas. This needed to be tenderized more. Very Chewy. Server Natesha did a good job. Will go back for something else.

Crack conch & fried shrimp with fries

The fried shrimp and fried conch is so flavorful despite it's price of $29.70. Too bad I realized after I drove off that they left off one of my 6 shrimp. Their posted sign in the pick-up area is: check your plate before leaving. Conch balls are excellent and the conch salad is refreshing. If wondering the type of fish served for boiled fish meal is grouper. It is expensive at $30 for a large 2-serving styrofoam takeout container.

Not too many places in Miami where you can get authentic Bahamian conch salad. This is one! This is as close as you're going to get to the islands.... The conch fritters were really good as well. They also have Sky Juice! And it's GOOD!

Conch salad

Every time I come to Miami I make a trip to this place. I always get tuna and grits if I'm there for breakfast and conch salad no matter what time of day it is. This conch salad is superior! I always ask for extra lime and extra pepper on the side. If you are in a hurry don't come here bc all the food is fresh and takes some time to cook.

The menu is not large but it has some pretty good items. Some are standard South Florida menu items Calamari, Conch Salad, Fritter, Scampi are among the offerings but there are a few standouts like: Blackened Fish, Shrimp Creole, Buffalo Shrimp, Caribbean Fish Soup, Shrimp And Grits, Po Boys and a few other sandwiches and pastas round out the menu. But the star of the show are the Fresh Shucked Oysters. From Virginia and only a $1.25 during Happy Hour, these oysters are delicious and have a different taste than their primos from the Gulf Of Mexico that I grew up on.....delicious nonetheless. The great staff makes dining here a much better experience. You're warmly welcomed and presented with a little bite of Krab Salad as soon as you sit. Happy Hour starts at 4PM and ends at 7PM. Do not miss the opportunity to indulge, it's a nice gateway to the great dinner you'll enjoy.

He went to the bathroom as he waited for his order, as he was coming out she was talking to another gentleman calling him cheap (he didn't want to say anything to prevent trouble). How do you run a business allowing your staff to talk bad about a customer that is disrespectful and unprofessional. He gets home open up his food and finds chicken meat. So he calls the lady up and is like I specifically ask you to make sure there was crabmeat and extra if you can. And she goes I didn't have any so I put chicken meat. He then advised her if he told her he didn't want to order chicken so he order LaLo to get a different meat besides chicken. He advised her why would I want a different meat besides what was cook in my food. The sad part was it wasn't even a whole chicken, it was a crumble piece of chicken (that was just tossed in there) and half the top shell of the crabmeat (just a shell). She then said I didn't have anymore crabmeat and he said you should have advised me so I'm not paying $20 for jute leaves and a crumble chicken meat. He went to the restaurant to get a refund owner refused refund and the owner and staff was disrespectful. Interior: As soon as I walked in I was shocked how small this place is. This is a take out restaurant only. The location in Atlanta is much bigger and have dine in tables and a full bar. Much nicer than this one. The Opa Locka location only have a few chairs to sit down to wait for your order. As you walk in you immediately see the order counter. They have their menus on the wall and to go menus on the counter. Nothing special inside. Food: I ordered the shrimp platter that came parsley potatoes and garlic corn. And 6pc lemon pepper wing and fries. The shrimp platter was okay. The wings were ridiculously small. It was $11 for tiny baby wings. They really shouldn't sell no one wings that tiny. I was definitely disappointed when I opened my box. It tasted more like salt & pepper wings rather than lemon pepper. I tasted a bunch of salt. The fries were a bit salty too. Location: Its located in a plaza. Right next door to a Spanish bakery and a banquet hall. The parking is decent but depending on how busy the plaza is you may not get front door parking of course. Customer service: I was greeted immediately when I walked in. It was two people working in the front, a girl and guy, they both was nice. After I ordered, the girl told me it will be about 15-20mins for my food. Which I kinda expected a bit of a wait. Despite the horribleness of the food, the customer service is what made me give this place a 3 star.
