The stewed conch was bland, Mac and cheese okay, fish fingers the batter was good. Service sucks simply because the girl in the wig is rude and not customer friendl. it takes nothing to smile and greet people. I am highly dissatisfied with the food and I think I'm done trying these places. For good food go to Kekoon for authentic Jamaican flavors. kalaloo, great Haitian food! We were in the area and decided to stop on for a quick authentic Bahamian snack. We parked in the back of the building and accessed the building from the rear entry. From this entry point, takeout orders are placed in a designated area. We immediately noticed that there were renovations that had taken place since we were last in. There is a counter and a tv behind the bar that displays the live band that is on site in the main dining area! There were menus available for grabs across the bar and there are bar stools and a few tables available for you to occupy while you order and/or wait on your order. We ordered the seafood combination (3) which comes with 3 seafood options and a side order. We ordered double fried shrimp, cracked conch and a side of fries. We not only waited for someone to appear at the front desk, they waited to tell everyone waiting that they were closed. When the guy who finally came from the back informed us of closing, he didn't apologize, show appreciation or gratitude for those of us waiting to be served. OMG!! Went here as a recommendation from the receptionist at our south beach resort. The food is awesome and the service is five star! Went there on a Sunday to try out the conch fritters. We ended up getting the oxtail plate, fritters, sweet potato cake bar and Bahama Mama. The food and drinks were FIRE! The hostess in the bar area was super nice and kind. Sadly we didn't get her name but she made the BEST Bahama Mama! Great food and even better service. Highly recommend. It was so good we went back a few days later for another round of food before our flight back to Cali. My daughter and I came here on June 15, 2025, around 2pm. We've been here before. However, this was our first time back since they were shut down by the board of health on April 18, 2019. Once we got to our table, I looked around and there was trash on the floor, tables next to us and behind us needed the dishes removed. Clearly, they had been sitting there forever. There were two waitresses working and a pre-teen child wiping tables. The waitress told us as soon as finished the transaction at the register, she would be with us.We said okay and waited at our table. We watched her finish and move on, checking on her tables that had their food. It was now 2:30pm and we still haven't been seen or at least given a menu to look at. The amount of flies had now almost tripled at the tables next to us and behind us because no one had removed the dishes and leftover food. At that point, my daughter and I got up to leave. The service was horrible and by the looks of the amount of food that was left in the dishes, the food wasn't much better. Very disappointing from a spot I used to frequent.
