Let me just start by saying that I do not go to any other snappers location besides this one and with that being said, this was one of my after work specials. I haven't had Snappers in such a long time, I had to go to satisfy my taste for snappers. I wanted to go to Captains but from where I was it was too far so I went to its cousin restaurant Snappers. When I go to the drive thru: side note, I never go inside because I am too lazy to get out of my car after having a long day at work. When I got to the drive thru I already knew what I wanted to order: the four piece wings and fries with lemon pepper dinner plate. I find that the four piece was the perfect amount of I wanted to eat it all in one sitting. With that being said, the service was decent and kind of fast. The food was nice, hot and fresh. My only problem with them is that when they ask if you want lemon pepper seasoning they will give it to you but they'll give you a tiny bit. I wish they would toss the lemon pepper powder instead of sprinkling it on top like they are rationing or something. Anyhoooooo, the inside I'm not able to tell you guys much because I don't go inside as I mentioned previously, other than that I don't have much to say. Until next, Later! However the other day I decided to switch things up and try something new. I ordered a 6pc wing with the tangy gold flavor. Wow. Where have I been this entire time. If you're ever craving for some jumbo fried shrimp look no further. This place stands up to the word jumbo, and fried shrimp. Absolutely delicious. It comes with coleslaw and french fries which are salted just the right amount. Absolutely delicious meal. They also provide plenty of cocktail sauce which is greatly appreciated. I kind of like to drown my fried shrimp in it and I can't stand those restaurants to send a little package to our little one ounce container to go with a whole slew of fried shrimp. We decided to venture away from Ocean Drive and find a place with seafood at reasonable prices. Someone recommended this place and we all piled in the mini van and took off. While I will admit the prices and quantity was better than what we would have gotten on Ocean Drive, I also admit that the 30+ mins drive with traffic didn't really make it seem like anything other than an opportunity to visit a more local eatery. I went with the jumbo shrimp and snapper combo. I think it came up to right at about $17. That may be a little high, because I believed I was charged $1.50 more for upgrading to fried okra instead of taking the fries. I had approximately 10 very nice large shrimp and three pieces of snapper, which was fried perfectly. I know because, three hours later I ate my left overs, cold straight out the container. It was the first place I'd gone the entire trip and had enough food left over for later, so that in itself makes it worth a visit. Everything was cooked to order and tasted fresh and was seasoned nicely Someone in our party ordered the tilapia. She was not happy. She said it had an after taste, and went back up to the counter and accused them of selling her swai. The man at the counter insisted that it was tilapia and she continued to insist that it wasn't. While we were waiting, I heard there person take an order for a 100 piece wings, so at least I know they can handle large orders if Im ever in Miami and need a 100 wings, but it prompted someone in our party to order wings, and she said they were better than the wings she orders from American Deli in Atlanta Some other people in our party ordered the fried conch and were very pleased. As a matter of fact, their exact words, were...this $h!t is good as heck (and I don't mean heck) I only encountered the lady that took my order and money, and found her to be friendly and able to make ordering suggestions. Really really enjoyed the shrimp. I ordered a shrimp and conch dinner with corn fritters in addition to that and everything was yummy. Of course I ordered from Postmates so the fries were not as fresh. I did like the special sauce they included in my order which really enhanced the flavor of the conch and shrimp. I ended up waiting at the front of the line for eleven minutes when she finally acknowledge me . She told me the lunch specials were over , even though I made it to the restaurant and was at the front of the line ten minutes before 3 PM EST . She walked and got the manager and the manager told her to give it to me . I asked her for the number five and she didn't know what it was ; continued to give me an attitude and demanded that I tell her what a number five was . A simple three piece chicken and fries lunch turned into a bigger complicated order than it ever had to be . I've been looking for a place where I can just get some quick fish without it being subpar quality. I've tried all the regular fast-food's fish sandwiches (Wendy's, McDonalds, etc..) but they've always left me feeling wanting. Long John Silver's is just plain grossly over-breaded and greasy. I thought for a while that Miami Subs would satisfy my occasional fried fish needs, but their fish was only marginally better than Long John Silvers. Thankfully, I found Snappers. I ordered the grilled fish with rice and beans. For $13, they give you plenty of fish (thick too). Their selection of seafood is great with a large variety of meals (albeit mostly fried) at an affordable price. The fish I got was well cooked and substantial. Perhaps whats best of all is they they actually have fish sticks, something I've long been looking for to replace those occasional McDonald's visits. Service was very slow, they only have one girl taking drive thru orders and ppl at the window. I must have stood at the window for a good 10min before I was even acknowledged. I was in the drive thru, lighting for the menu was very dark. Yes there was a car behind me. As soon as I got to the ordering menu the cashier was asking for my order like she was impatient. So I gave her my order in a hurry it was wrong but I corrected my self immediately and asked if she heard me. No answer. I saw several people working in the kitchen pause to look in her direction. I was so shocked at her anger...I didn't know if she heard me until she yelled at me that she was too busy to answer. That was a lie I was still sitting at the drive through window when she just stopped speaking to me and refused to let me know she heard me and changed the order. Some other young person came to give me my food at the second window. I was saying that was not my fault I was just trying to make sure she got the order correct. A middle manager gave me my food and told me I needed to calm down. I told her calm down for what? She said it's the way you are coming at me. I'm not even raising my voice...what you're saying is out of place..I'm a customer who just got yelled at. I'm not upset with you....but somehow it became all about her. Also I stopped talking.
