I'll be blunt. We went to another fertility clinic that was well reviewed and "highly regarded" by our insurance company. They squandered our only opportunity to have insurance cover the procedure, wasting years trying to create an embryo with my wife's "morphologically gorgeous" eggs. Unfortunately, morphology means little and genetics is everything. Fortunately, we had the financial resources to pay for procedures privately and, after errantly placing our trust in the other clinic for almost two years we switched to Dr. Bush at Conceptions. At our urging, he performed an egg retrieval and found all of the eggs to be genetically challenged. We changed gears, used one of Dr. Bush's donors and now have a handsome, brilliant 15 month-old running around and we have another on the way. (FYI: We did look at 3rd party donor brokers and even wrote some large checks there. We found that the MEDICAL quality of the donors was not good and that the brokers felt a bit like dealing with, well..., brokers.) We've had good experiences with all of the doctors we have seen at Conceptions but most of our visits have been with Dr. Bush. He's a brilliant guy who may seem academically absorbed - wrapped up in his procedures and success rates. My perception is that he IS wrapped up in it the way that many brilliant people are. There also may be a touch of shyness since he warmed to us dramatically over time and is now funny and engaging every time we see him. He obviously loves and is THE expert in what he does. Unlike our previous doctors, he understands the developmental biology and (critically to you) the endocrinology necessary to ensure success in patients who have had trouble in the past. My wife and I have been down quite a long road and have spent tens of thousands in insurance money (and closer to six figures of family funds) on getting pregnant. I can tell you that the one thing I would do differently, given it to do all over again, would be to see Dr. Bush first thing out of the gate. I've read the negative reviews. They seem to fall into two categories: 1) "I'm a patient, and the doctor wouldn't perform the procedure I wanted because they said there was little chance of success" and 2) "I'm a donor broker and don't like working with this office." In the first case, I would urge the patient to listen to the doctor - particularly if the doctor is warning of a potentially bad outcome. I wish our previous doctors had been less comfortable with "hope-based" therapies and had been prescient in identifying and warning us of the risks. In the second case, having attempted to work with brokers, I find myself fairly dismissive of the complaints. I came to Dr. Bush's office after a a year and a half of trying both on our own and with Clomid. My husband has morphology issues, which result in only 1% of his sperm being "good" and my AMH is low at 1.29. Our first visit was January 2014 and we met with Dr. Bush and a nurse who would turn out to be our IVF nurse. Overall, it was a great experience. I will say this- if you are very sensitive and need a lot of support, then Dr. Bush is probably not the guy for you. He says it like it is and is quick and to the point- something that I appreciate in a doctor. If you do need emotional support, Conceptions nurses can help you with this, but the doctors are there to educate you and get you pregnant. After rounds of tests on myself and my husband, Dr. Bush recommended that we try some medicated cycles of IUI for a bit (so, no, he doesn't push you right toward IVF actually saying- "we tell around 16 women per week that they are pregnant. 50% of these pregnancies are from IUI and 50% from IVF"). We agreed and started the IUI process. After two rounds without success, my husband and I (note, not Dr. Bush) decided to move toward IVF. I think normally, they would have suggested more tries at IUI, but we were impatient and wanting to see results. In July I had my egg retrieval and we did chromosomal screening on the embryos (highly suggest this), which resulted in 5 perfect little embryos. In October 2014, we did our frozen embryo transfer of two embryos. It was successful! I am now almost 17 weeks pregnant with twin girls. So, if you want results, go to Dr. Bush. Some suggest that Dr. Bush picks more viable candidates for his statistics, but with my AMH at 1.29, I am not considered a viable candidate. I am so thankful for Dr. Bush's practice! read more

It was a long journey for my husband and I to conceive and we worked with Conceptions for the entire time. Thanks to Dr. Bush and many other staff members at Conceptions we are now expecting a baby boy. Most of my appointments were at the Littleton office which I found to be a pleasant environment for all of the meetings and procedures. Even though it took a long time to get pregnant, I was very pleased with my experience at Conceptions. Everyone we worked with was very supportive and encouraging. I felt important and genuinely cared for every time I was there. I believe that their protocols are a good balance of science and heart. Most daily communication is done through the nursing staff, but the doctors were always quick to respond to any e-mails that I sent them. I'm looking forward to introducing our little one to Dr. Bush and the rest of the staff. I would highly recommend Conceptions to anyone trying to expand their family. read more

I love this place. After going to the Colo Center for Reproductive Medicine the past two years, I came to expect frustration and found none at Conceptions. Once we switched, I found that Conceptions did a number of things I was very grateful for and not at all used to: 1) they answered their phones 2) they called you back 3) the staff was always helpful 4) they could explain test results to us 5) we were there because my teen-aged son had chemo and they treated him so much better 6) they were more affordable, 7) they gave us recommendations and resources, and 8) they gave us more options. I wish we had switched two years ago. A tip: ask a lot of questions (and see what locations do what) because they have procedures they follow so go through things step by step with them. read more

Dr. Bush, Ali, Lindsay and rest of the team were great and caring throughout the whole process. I should begin by saying that we have transferred from Dr Albrecht's Women Care after endless IUIs and many disappointments. We can tell from our experience that all calls and emails to Conceptions were answered...and We had a lot of them. Nurses were willing to do what it takes to make us feel heard and understood. We greatly appreciated the efforts to fax prescriptions overseas as well locally to different pharmacies just to help us save money. Sometimes you have to experience bad to recognize how good others are, and so we found outstanding service at Conceptions. Our Baby Girl is 3.5mths old, and she wouldn't be here without Dr Bush. I turn 43 this month and thanks to Dr. Bush and his amazing team I am 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby! Dr. Bush has an incredible ability to confidently and reassuringly tell it like it is, and in my mind this is a good thing. He is very experienced and gives good advice- you should trust his advice! There is a small practice feel to Conceptions which also worked very well for me compared to other groups. The nurses were always very responsive, consulted with Dr. Bush when needed, but otherwise they were always there to walk me through every step and help me through the lows and share in my excitement of the highs. I have to agree with the other reviewers that this is an IVF shop. My wife and I were very unhappy with the treatment we received here. At first we tried to voice our concerns to them but they were dismissive so I'm writing this review because I have no alternative. Months later and we are still having problems with billing for unneeded tests and procedures. I think any positive reviews here are written by staff or friends. read more

Conceptions needs to join the 21st century. We do not make women take 'competency tests' if they wish to become pregnant. Especially if you tell me no one has ever failed one. The medical world practices informed consent. You need to bring yourself up to date.
