After a very difficult experience at another fertility clinic, finding Dr. Surrey and CCRM truly restored my hope in the fertility process. Before coming to CCRM, I went through one full stimulation cycle and two failed transfers at a different clinic. The lack of professionalism, compassion and empathy, poor communication, and overall disorganization from the clinic leadership left me emotionally and physically drained. By the time I switched clinics, I felt defeated and skeptical that the process could feel any different. CCRM was night and day. From my very first interaction, the clinic ran with a level of precision, care, and professionalism that immediately put me at ease. Dr. Surrey and his entire team -- the nurses, phlebotomists, and ultrasound technicians -- treated me with kindness, respect, and compassion at every step. They made me feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for, not just like another patient on a schedule. Under Dr. Surrey's care, I completed a stimulation cycle and a natural transfer -- something my previous clinic insisted would never work. Not only did I feel much better completing the natural cycle, but the entire process was smoother, far less stressful, and physically easier. I experienced fewer symptoms, less pain, and far less anxiety. Simply being at CCRM changed my outlook and helped me regain a positive mindset during a process that can be incredibly overwhelming. Dr. Surrey is exactly the kind of physician you want in this journey. He is extremely data-driven, thoughtful in his recommendations, and incredibly knowledgeable -- yet also easygoing, approachable, and genuinely kind, with a great sense of humor that helped lighten some very heavy moments. Most importantly, he cared not only about my success (which is, of course, the priority), but also about my overall health and well-being -- something that is not always true at other clinics. I have already recommended CCRM -- and specifically Dr. Surrey and his team -- to three women in my network, and I will continue to do so without hesitation. NEED TO KNOW FOR MILITARY FAMILIES: They do not accept tricare (Shady Grove does) and they will not accept ANY labs performed outside of their facilities. That includes basic blood work. So if you have Tricare and which covers blood work at almost every lab including the labs most offices use, like Labcorp, according to the gentlemen I spoke with for scheduling, they will ask for all new labs in house. Billing is disorganized. After providing my insurance and verifying my benefits, they still charged the full cost as if I was self pay and never billed my insurance. While in their care I had a miscarriage and was told it was a "bummer" and was gaslit about possible causes of recurrent miscarriage. I was given incorrect information about SSRI use in pregnancy (I'm a psychiatric provider with a certification in perinatal mental health). I canceled future appointments and won't be recommending these facilities to anyone. read more

Gave 1 star because 0 wasn't an option. AVOID this unprofessional, unethical establishment at all costs! Friendly doctors but highly INCOMPETENT and LAZY staff. Apparently these are known characteristics about CCRM from within the medical community and from their online reputation within these reviews. Probably the reason they have a F Rating on the Better Business Bureau. We spoke with two different office staff at checkin advising to run the claim through insurance. They initially wanted us to pay the full amount and then issue us a credit for what insurance didn't cover...pushback and don't let them do this to you as they won't credit your money back. We received a bill two weeks later showing they didn't try to run through insurance, pure laziness. But good luck trying to get their billing department to pick up the phone to correct their mistake. I've called over six times the past week, left three voicemails and had two supervisors send email escalations to their billing department managers...no one in that department picks up or returns any calls. No accountability, professionalism or competence. To top it off, their staff never sent the results to our doctors, even after calling their office various times (this was prior to the billing issue incident mentioned above). They advised results were sent but couldn't provide any details of who sent, dates or firm confirmation. It finally took my doctor's office calling them and not getting off the phone until they received it. This place is beyond awful and unprofessional. I have zero confidence that anyone can properly do their job at this place. read more

CCRM is a very busy clinic for a reason. They do amazing work. Highly recommend Dr Ehrhart but I've heard great things about Dr Surrey and Dr Gustafson. We started in January last year, did 2 egg retrievals and pregnant by October on first FET. We now have a beautiful, healthy baby girl!! The clinic is busy but the staff is great and they are open 7 days a week with an on call line 24/7. read more

I have had a great experience at CCRM. I will explain my 5 Stars below. - I knew that my insurance did not cover fertility treatments long before I called CCRM. I think it is unfair to give this facility less stars because YOU failed to do the research yourself. - I have worked with several nurses throughout my treatments at CCRM. All of them are professional and always willing to answer whatever silly questions I may have. Even in weekends, and evenings when I have called- they've been beyond sweet. - The surgery center was a well oiled machine. I was impressed with the whole process. I have seen three different doctors even though Dr Surrey is my specific doctor and all of them have been professional and helpful. - During retrieval- you are in the office a lot. I loved getting to know the ultrasound techs and the women who take blood. It helped the process and I felt well cared for. My hormone levels skyrocketed during stims- and my nurse was all over it. They even called me at home to see how I was feeling and check in. Overall wonderful experience and a successful pregnancy as a result. read more

I am in the middle of ivf now and have found Ccrm to be really great in terms of the doctors and care. You do need to be involved and on top of it but all the nurses are efficient and great at answering questions throughout the process. The salve app they use is easy and helpful to have all your care and forms in one place. I have been really impressed with their care. The billing department really sucks - which surprises me because there have been literally years of reviews saying this, you would think Ccrm would do something to remedy the situation . They need a better system of keeping track and communicating payments. I have had several large billing errors during my time here. I am on Kaiser insurance which is covering a lot and they still have messed up billing. Be skeptical when they say you owe them things and keep documentation of every payment and what it was for. Also keep good documentation of what is said at your initial financial appointment. Know what is on your preauthorization from your insurance. Know how to find your statements of benefits. Having these things available has really saved my bacon when they literally have you by the ovaries and are asking for money that you already paid or for services that are covered by insurance. One final piece of advice is that if you have Kaiser Permanente insurance, at least check with kp to see prices of meds. You do this by ordering the prescriptions at kp first, and asking the pharmacist to tell you the prices, you are not obligated to pick them up if it's too expensive. And if they're too expensive, order them elsewhere. I know there are different tiers of kp insurance but it's worth it to check as almost all of our meds have been covered by kp. I wanted to say this because our initial nurses actually said kp didn't cover any meds or did not carry some meds and gave us a list of independent pharmacies. that ended up being very wrong. So definitely check it out for yourself - it could save you literally 1000s of dollars. Also the aurora center pointe pharmacy is open late and on Saturday/sundays so that's been helpful. Overall, glad we are able to access such top quality care. Wish they'd do something about their billing situation. read more

The doctors are amazing, however... I had an appt scheduled and cancelled it because we decided to wait until the new year. They didn't cancel it in the system and want a no show fee. I've been trying to get in touch with someone in the billing department for over a month and they won't call me or my husband back. We've talked to many people and they just transfer us to someone else, usually a voicemail. They want everything to go through their portal but I'm not a patient so I can't access the portal. I won't be using them after all. This is a hard enough process but to see how they handle billing is making me second guess my trust in how they'll handle my IVF process. read more

They are the epitome of everything that is wrong with American healthcare. Being there felt like I walked into a mafia style shake down. Update: after the physician took us on as a patient and did our consult, he is leaving the practice and left us high and dry. We did not have the ability to even speak to another physician before we were going to be "assigned" another physician. Basically, he knew he wasn't going to be our physician but took us on as patients anyway. When we asked about it, he scoffed at us and literally said we were lying and that our account of things was "fake news". I guess you really can't expect much from a money churning practice that leverages hope for cash, owned by a private equity firm. Stay classy schoolhouse. read more

After 3 years of road block after road block in trying to figure out our infertility issues, we found CCRM and are now pregnant with our first child after our first round of IVF! CCRM is a professional, well oiled machine, but don't expect to sit back on your laurels. There is a certain initiative you need to take as the patient in understanding the calendars you have to follow and the medications to accrue. I'm also not someone who needs to be speaking to my specific Dr. (ours was Dr. Surrey) everytime I had a question. I actually loved using the Salve app to text my nurses anytime anywhere. The egg retrieval and frozen embryo transfer was a lot of work, as everyone knows, but I still had no idea truly how life consuming it is. However, once you say go, CCRM is there to jump start the process and unless you have medical complications, really the only other thing that could slow the process down is you as the patient. We were so happy after the years wasted in infertility limbo, CCRM quickly figured out what our issue was and got us through both ER & IVF in no time. The only area that was weak for us was the financial department. They were hard to get in touch with & it is very confusing initially to understand what you will exactly owe after each procedure until you hit your out of pocket. This was easily one of the more stressful parts since IVF ain't cheap! Other then that, we had the best outcomes one could ask for of both procedures we had at CCRM and our whole family is over the moon that we're finally pregnant! read more

Absolutely awful awful awful billing staff, in particular a woman named Shari Falls. Shari just yelled at me on the phone for 10 minutes while telling me there is nothing that can be done about our upcoming IVF cycle, so we will have to cancel. Shari Falls is an incredibly rude woman. CCRM Colorado has a corporate policy that makes no sense, and no other clinic has this policy, including other CCRM locations! If you have an IVF cycle that is anytime from January 1st-20th, they won't let you use insurance. I was scheduled to start an IVF cycle in the second week of January. Even though my insurance is happy to approve my cycle at any time, CCRM says I have to pay out of pocket and I'm not allowed to use insurance because our cycle starts before 01/20. My insurance said they have never heard of any other clinic doing this, and that they have patients start in early January all of the time. In addition, I've talked to patients at both CCRM's Nova and Minneapolis locations who are starting in early January who are having their insurance approved no problem. Shari has no answer for this and said that other clinics (including other CCRM locations) must be doing things wrong. It's obviously possible to authorize a cycle with a January start date because every single other IVF clinic is able to, including other CCRM locations. Shari Falls messaged me originally about this with a "reminder" (this was her first time contacting me) that our payment in cash is due in full. After already scheduling our cycle, booking hotels/flights/etc., this was her way of notifying us that our cycle would not be covered by insurance. This is an incredibly shocking and upsetting notification because it means our cycle is cancelled, and that was the way we were notified about it. Shari said she is dealing with 50 other patients who are having the same problem. If that many patients are having to potentially cancel their cycle, then this is a policy that corporate should look into changing. I can't recommend CCRM alone based on their horrible billing policies, and the rudeness of their employee Shari Falls. read more

Absolutely ruthless billing staff. One, in particular, is Shari Falls. Shows zero empathy for patients. Constantly threatens the cancel the treatment. Continues to show rigidity with zero intention to help patients. We had two insurance coverage - Primary and Secondary. Shari showed no flexibility in helping us get reimbursement through our insurance coverage. On the contrary, pushed us to do self-pay. Threated us multiple times to cancel the treatment. This is your sign to leave CCRM... As you've read on many other reviews, I feel like I could write a novel on "How not to care for patients" from my experience with this clinic. However, I've since moved on to another clinic in the area (which I was absolutely terrified to do thinking all fertility clinics would be the same) and here's me telling you that it does get better! Immediately I was treated with the kind, compassionate, and responsive care I craved for from CCRM. Oh, and they immediately ran my insurance with no weird 'itemized' bill that the front desk admin clearly had no clue how to complete. I'll be honest, we haven't gotten to the IUI or IVF cycle yet (mainly because of continual patient care failures from CCRM), but the stress is 100% not worth it when you can still get good 'science' AND empathetic nurses, communicative doctors, doctors that actually answer your questions when they fall outside of the cookie-cutter path.... So if you've experienced any of the below terrible care from CCRM like me, LEAVE - transfer your records, you don't have to start over from scratch! (though you will have have to do the record transfer yourself, because CCRM would never do anything you request...) Make the move and feel the relief and relax knowing that you'll have a nurse and doctor that care about you. That the office staff will communicate promptly with you. That your insurance will be billed correctly. That your individual case will matter. Grievances (sadly, not uncommon) *Absolutely terrible communication and organization. I showed up not once, but twice to find out that portions of my appointment were cancelled day-of with no explanation; never received any test results back without calling to find out, often to learn that my treatment was further delayed because of something found in the results...that they had been sitting on but never called me about; asked for referrals twice to an endocrinologist and they were never sent (confirmed, because same instructions were given to primary doctor and I magically got a call back...) Never really understood my next steps and what I was supposed to do... *We were told we were 'great candidates for an IUI' and had to go through 3 IUI cycles before we could get to IVF. Our diagnosis is morphology. IUI has a less than 1% success rate with a morphology of less than 2%. Our new clinic kindly explained this to us and gave us the option to skip (saving $6k I might add) It's almost like the whole point is to just get money out of us...Oh and the doctor clearly couldn't go out of her script to answer any follow up questions on morphology. *The worst front office you'll ever experience. Rude, have 0 idea what they are doing, will consistently tell you that 'they can't help you', and when you call or ask questions, it's clearly an annoyance. All in all, we switched clinics and it's been completely night and day difference. And our stress levels about our fertility treatments have drastically gone down because of it. I just want you to know if you are frustrated and feeling stuck, you don't have to be. If you are also experiencing the above, it doesn't have to be this way. If you are searching for a clinic, CCRM is NOT it. Take your care under your control, interview with the other clinics in your area. It's worth it. Hopefully CCRM also takes this as real feedback to improve upon, specifically in office management as that is the main pain point for nearly every review I read and experience I had. read more

This place is a joke. I started looking into fertility options in Oct of 2022. Before I even started, I did my due diligence and had a conversation with someone in billing (I do acknowledge I failed to get a name, but there is record on my phone of the call made). At which time, they told me my insurance would cover the services provided. Never was it clarified they do not work with insurance for their "special lab". So, I went in several weeks later and had blood work done. At which time, I was hit with a $550 bill. And at which time it was explained to me that lab work is not billable through insurance. After the results of that lab work came in, I met with the doctor. Made some decisions and subsequently spoke with the nurse for further scheduling. At which time, she said the lab work already completed that I paid $550 for, I could have actually done out of house at a facility that would accept insurance. She said not all lab work can be done out of house, but both my friend, who was there with me, and I heard her clearly say, the lab work already completed could have been. So, I spoke with a Supervisor in billing complaining that I was not told that up front. She said the lab work already completed actually could NOT be done out of house, she would have the nurse call me back. The nurse did and said we misunderstood her. Again, both my friend and I clearly heard the same thing, there was no misunderstanding. After this whole fiasco and feeling so frustrated that I couldn't get details from the billing office or the nurse that I could trust, I asked to sit down and go through an itemized list of all that I could be responsible for and Kelly and I started through that list. The first few items she told me she didn't know if they would be part of my treatment plan or not, I would have to talk to the nurse. I asked to have a meeting with her and the nurse and Kelly said she didn't think that could happen. At which point, I realized this all started to feel super shady and completely NON-transparent. I'm paying a LOT of money out of pocket, giving me a complete list and understanding of exactly what I will likely be responsible for, being able to meet with a team together to identify those things, is the minimum they should be doing. I also had a procedure done that actually WAS covered under insurance (Thank God!), after which I started having issues. I called over the weekend and left a voicemail asking someone to call me back, letting them know I thought I was having complications from the procedure. No one ever did. I had to call them back AGAIN later Monday afternoon. Now, I've been sent another $50 bill for leftover payment the insurance says is my responsibility from the procedure that was actually covered under insurance and I called and spoke to Kelly explaining what a miserable ordeal this has been for me, how extremely NOT transparent they are in their billing and how I don't feel I owe anymore money to them as I've already paid way more than I was originally led to believe I would owe. She told me to speak to my insurance and I asked to speak to her Supervisor. She then hung up on me. I've already decided to go elsewhere for MUCH cheaper and WAY better service and care, but I definitely would like to warn anyone who believes what CCRM's website says, that they are transparent in their billing. They are not. They lie and recant their statements, constantly. They are very difficult to get in touch with (After being hung up on, I've called the billing office several times and just get an answering machine). There are many others beyond me who have the same thing to say about them. It's sad how they treat people and I do not understand how they get away with it. There are many other options for fertility. Don't use this one. As miserable as the interactions have been with these people, I am SO very grateful I figured out how shady they are before I got any further into this process with them. We have been to other fertility clinics in the past and had horrible experiences till we went to CCRM. I absolutely loved our doctor, Dr.Ehrhart! The nursing staff was amazing as well! We did two rounds of IVF and thank goodness the second one was successful. I love the communication I had with my nurse throughout the whole process and they make it super easy to send messages in the portal. My only bad experience and why I didn't give 5 stars was the finance department. They are terrible and getting back to you and getting things figured out, but with a lot of pushing I finally would get the answers I needed. Other than that I thought it was the best experience possible with our journey and I cannot wait till I have my son and we will be back in to try for another baby! read more

In all my years I have never left a bad review of a business. That should really tell you something. However this review is so totally deserved by this business. Please know that this clinic will schedule you even though they know they cannot treat you. What a let down. Horrendous experience and complete waste of my time. I cannot tell you how upset I was leaving my appointment with this clinic today. Terrible patient care and terrible customer service. I was excited as I contacted this clinic to pursue a second FET with the frozen tested embryos I already have from our previous clinic in a different state. When I called to make the first appointment I told the scheduler our situation in complete detail. She said that sounds great, they can schedule me. I spent hours doing paperwork/consents/online patient portal and when I sent my medical records all of this also indicated this CLEARLY. I waited close to 2 months to get an appointment, for Dr. Barton to sit me down in her office and tell me that they cannot do an FET for me as they do not transfer embryos that were tested at any other genetics lab than the one they use. What an incredible waste of my time. She said that they won't charge me for the visit... and all I keep thinking is no shit, they should be paying me for the months of time I wasted as well as this in person appointment. It is obvious that they just want to get you into the clinic so they can take your money. read more

This business is absolutely atrocious. Please read about my experience and seriously consider moving forward here. I went to CCRM to get fertility testing in March. On March 21st I received results back and was told i have diminished ovarian reserve and that my chances of conceiving naturally were extremely low. I was told IVF with an aggressive protocol would be my best option. I received that bad news and then had to wait one month for a "regroup" to discuss next steps with my doctor. The following month I went to my regroup and was given my protocol which was a month of priming hormone meds which would start in May. After the May priming meds, I would start injections in June, and a tentative retrieval date for June 14th. From my regroup until today, I have done numerous blood tests, imagining exams, etc. I also had to order $7,000 worth of non-refundable IVF meds. Well, I found out yesterday that I have been pregnant since mid April. I was pregnant almost the entire time I was in CCRM care. I was pregnant when they told me to start taking priming medications including testosterone. Certain priming medications are extremely dangerous for pregnant women. Testosterone is toxic to fetuses and is very well documented to cause serious birth defects. "Prenatal and neonatal testosterone exposure can cause sexual dimorphism in human behavior, including social development, as well as birth defects impacting genitalia development." Meaning even small amounts of exposure to testosterone in pregnant women can cause little boys to develop female genitalia and features, and little girls to develop male genitalia and features. So now here I am, pregnant and being told by CCRM that they can no longer do anything for me. I have spent over $10,000 on IVF prep that I will not be able to move forward with and will not be able to get money back for. I have a poor outlook on my pregnancy and have unintentionally harmed my baby due to their guidance. I was pregnant all along, without any assistance from CCRM. And now I am in a far worse position than I was before I contacted them. This company is not ethical. The amount of emotional distress I have been though since first contacting CCRM has been insurmountable. The experience of infertility is already stressful, scary, and sad at times. CCRM has done nothing but increase the pain a diagnosis of infertility can cause. read more

Terrible. Luckily I ended up not needing to go here and we got pregnant twice naturally. But the shitstorm the finance team put my friends (yes plural!!) though was a nightmare. Not submitting requests to insurance which delays any procedures- and if you're coming here, time is already of the essence!! Not only that, they're impossible to get ahold of, and when you do, no straight answer. They even sent one of my friend's bill to COLLECTIONS because they didn't run her insurance like they said they would. Run for the hills, find another clinic. Egg Donor Experience: Cold, Unprofessional, Impersonal, Judgmental, Biased Gate-Keeping. I'm appalled by how horrible my intake appointment was. After arriving late and waiting in a check-in line for 17 minutes, I was told to check in at a different desk. Flustered and stressed about being late, I was rushed into a room with a consultant, Kelly, who clearly dismissed me from the very beginning. There were little-to-no introductions of who she was, who I was, or what we'd be doing/discussing. She had a very condescending and judgmental demeanor and tone to her and I felt extremely uncomfortable. She dove straight into a lengthy list of extremely personal questions including "what is the most traumatic experience of your life." I believe anyone in this setting would feel intimidated, uneasy, unwelcome, and a bit defensive. Upon completing this intake, she pulled me to a room and told me I was ineligible to move forward with the egg donating process, listing 3 reasons that were all extremely subjective to her personal biases: 1) I should freeze my eggs instead of donating them because that would "emotionally" be a better fit for me. (This goes against what I specifically said in the interview about donating being my preference as I have no clear trajectory of ever having kids of my own.) 2) She found me defensive when asked certain questions. (I believe anyone would be when met with such coldness and condescending judgment). 3) She pulled small things I said about my mother and sister having situational anxiety (undiagnosed, nonetheless) into a medical history of mental disorder and deemed me unqualified to donate eggs. Again, I believe this was purely her fishing for a 3rd reason to dismiss me as she personally did not like me and the rest of my medical history on both sides of my family is impeccable. Kelly clearly used her position of power and personal biases against me to keep me from making this very personal decision moving forward. It is truly heartbreaking and infuriating. I highly, highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Words can not describe how incompetent, rude, sub standard and what seems like just a machinery created to steal money from vulnerable, innocent women. The staff is abusive and the doctor I must say is either a liar or there is a complete lack of care, and disconnect with staff, they are demanding I do treatments I dont need and refuse to give me the simple day 2 ultrasound that I made my appointment for, I was trying to transfer care from ca fertility partners because I moved from LA to CO I paid $350 for my appointment and clearly told them this appointment is for me to for sure not miss my cycle and do my day 2 Ulrtrasound I am 46 and want to see my egg count and decide if I need to move to donor eggs the doctor Gustafson said he understands, nurse will call me set everything up, no one called me , I called back few times finally a very very aggressive, abusive, rude person named STACY basically jkept attacking me like a fascist saying you will not get an US until you do all all these tests in the middle of the month, I tried to explain to her what the doctor and I spoke about she refused to listen to the point that i was trembling. she said anyway we are closed on the weekend and you cant get an ultrasound you need to wait till next month. I worked with ca fertility partners and have one daughter because of wonderful Doctor Richard Marrs their clinic is cordial, professional knowledgable, I never once had a negative experience in 5 years after my daughter i am trying for a second child. What is going on at this so called clinic is not Medicine its ABUSE. They need to be reported to the Medical Board. read more

CCRM clearly has a history of success, two friends of mine are a testament to it after having horrible experiences elsewhere. I'm in the middle of my experience and think the medical aspect of this is positive thus far, the doctors and nurses experience has been pretty good. That said, how they treat the financials of this are horrible. I get fertility treatments are costly and I get the need as a business to collect deposits for work to be done and having protocol to ensure payment. However, as one example, if you already have confirmation from insurance they will process and approve the claim, why are you charging me the entire bill up front when you know the billed charge will be discounted, then I have to collect money back from you? Another example, charging $1700 for lab tests for cash paying customers that have a usual and customary charge of around $100...atrocious. This process is stressful enough and people are putting their savings into these treatments. Try to figure out a solution that is more supportive to patients. read more

Picking a doctor to go through something so significant in your life with is not an easy task. However, multiple friends of ours referred us to CCRM and Dr. Schoolcraft for my IVF. My friends explained and now what I know to be true is he is the top in his field! After 2 IVF's with him both resulting in pregnancy we are extremely happy to have chosen him as our doctor. CCRM does not mess around they are precise and professional in every way they know what they are doing and I recommend him 100%! read more

Clinical staff is great but if I had other options for care I would take them solely because the administrative experience has been so poor at the Louisville location. The administrative staff (scheduling, billing, etc) has appeared to me as disjointed, uncommunicative, and rude. The doctors and nurses are great, but the experience before and after seeing them is very poor. read more

Being physician myself, I understand how medical practices work. We called the most famous ' William Schoolcraft ' at CCRM Colorado, for a phone consultation, paid may be 500 dollars for that. He heard our story of 2 failed ivf cycles and told us on phone ' find a ovum donor , no point wasting your time'. I am a cardiologist and my wife a pediatrician. We understand human physiology and endocrinology quite well. We were shocked to hear his response to our problem, he just didn't want to take up a difficult case ( IT MESSES UP THEIR NUMBERS , it gives THEM HIGHER FAILURE RATES) and it's not good for future business. Anyways if we weren't doctors then we could have easily taken his words more seriously and would have given up . But Dr. Tur Kaspa ( In Chicago ) never gave up on us and kept our hopes alive. Eventually he suggested us to convert a cycle to mini ivf and that worked out for us. We have a 14 month old baby girl who has changed our lives forever . We are planning on the second child and would definitely go back to dr Turkaspa in Chicago ! I recently completed two rounds of egg freezing with Dr. Kondapalli. I highly recommend her and the entire staff at CCRM because they made an overwhelming, scary, and painful process easier. Brittany was my nurse and she went above and beyond. She was available for phone calls whenever I had questions (I had A LOT) and was always on top of calling me with my doses. Hopefully I won't ever need to use my frozen eggs but if I ever have to I'm excited to work with the staff at CCRM again. read more

My husband and I went to CCRM after about 5 months of trying just to do all the testing to make sure everything was OK (or not) before making any decisions on treatments etc. Even before we did ANY testing at all we were told that IVF was our best option because of my age (I was 38 at the time). This is before ANY testing was done. I was told my age numerous times during my consultation. We went through all the testing and would venture to say we passed with flying colors, I am extremely healthy with all my numbers exactly where they should be, a follicle count that is 2-3 times the normal count and still we were told IVF was our only and best option. I can only imagine they told us this so many times because of 1- the amount of money they make and 2- the more ivf they do the higher chance of pregnancy and the better their numbers- even if one doesn't need it! We left with a bad taste in our mouths and went to 2 doctors in NYC for second opinions, both emphatically said there is NO NEED FOR IVF with my numbers (both, I may add, also do IVF and make as much money from it). We chose one and came back to colorado (where we live), and are now awaiting IUI with our chosen doctor in nyc. Unfortunately, because of the timing of my cycle, I had to go to CCRM one last time this last saturday for outside monitoring. I was met by EMMA B, the assistant manager of the front desk. Emma spoke to me in a manner that shocked me to the core, and upset my husband beyond words. She treated me with disrespect, sarcasm and quite frankly meanly. NO ONE should be spoken to the way I was by Emma, and especially not patients who are going through what the patients there already are. We are going through enough. I was told many times by her that "if I wasn't already a patient I wasn't going to be seen", but I was a patient (had already paid thousands to be told I'm old and only IVF was my solution). They made it a point to mention many times that they were just doing outside monitoring for ANOTHER doctor because I was not being seen by any of their doctors (for the good reasons above), but I was made to feel horrible and it's just not ok. I don't know my outcome with this new doctor in NYC yet but I can already say that my decision to move away from CCRM is the best one I've made so far. Do your research, get second opinions! CCRM is "famous" because their numbers are good, they do get lots of women pregnant, no matter what it takes. read more

A few of the doctors are really great and their labs are supposed the best in the country. But their day-to-day staff is VERY hit or miss. I've had some nurses be great and other be completely insensitive and rude. The have also missed some very important things that directly affected my mental and physical health. This place is a great reminder of how broken our health care system is. Our fertility journey is one of the hardest things we've ever had to go through and it often feels like we're being exploited for monetary gain. We feel like a dollar sign to them, a chart at best, but we don't feel like we're people. I wish there were better options for us but from what I've heard this place is the lesser of the evils. Take your health into your own hands and don't trust everything they say. They need to make a profit and they have plenty of patients in line that help them do just that. read more

We went to CCRM after a failed IVF cycle at a local fertility clinic. We researched and were impressed by the numbers at CCRM. Once there, the process was streamlined and professional. The clinic had excellent communication from both the nursing staff and our physician (Dr.Surrey). We now have three beautiful children. I cannot say enough good things about our experience, from beginning to end, at CCRM. I only wish we had gone to them in the beginning. They are world class, top of the line physicians and also have a world class lab. I would recommend them to anyone seeking fertility treatments. It's worth the travel. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm going to give a snapshot of my first interaction with CCRM - the red flags should have made me run to Conceptions (only positive reviews- including my own Primary Care Physician, who used Conceptions because CCRM made her feel like a number). I'm sad to echo many of the previous reviews listed here. They treat you like cattle, except when it comes time to pay. I made an appointment and was told that if I didn't go online and fill out the online medical history, etc. within 7 days the appointment would be cancelled because "the doctor required a minimum 2 weeks to look at the medical records." Fast forward 2 weeks to my appointment. I was herded into the first room where a nurse asked me for the same information I had to fill out online (family history, date of last cycle, etc.) When I asked her why she was asking me the questions from the online forms she stated that nobody had viewed them in the office yet. After spending 10 minutes with her, dictating the same information from the online forms, I was left to sit in another room for 45 minutes. During that time, I got up to go to the bathroom and happened to see the same nurse handing over the newly filled out forms to a person that would end up being my doctor. So yeah, I basically sat in there waiting so the doctor could look over my medical forms for the first time. When I saw the doctor she was confused and didn't have all of my medical records in front of her because, shocker, they still hadn't verified receipt of my records. So she ordered tests I'd already taken, although I told her I'd just taken them (not the labs required to be done in house). Then, of course, I was herded to the next room and I asked a third person to check on the status of my medical records. Well, the fax machine ran out of paper, so half of my records didn't print (two weeks before my appointment). Nobody had bothered to look through them and notice that they weren't complete. The third person (nurse?) asked me the SAME medical information. At that point, it became clear that the first nurse, doctor, and the third nurse weren't even on the same page. I mean, seriously, I was asked the first day of my last cycle literally 4 different times. Finally, I was moved into another room where the nicest (not surprisingly) individual appeared- the financial lady. She had me sign a paper which ended up actually allowing CCRM to randomly charge any outstanding balances without notification/warning. So, for example, they had me pay my copay for the initial visit and some labs.Then, about 2 weeks later, I got charged $680 out of the blue because my insurance only paid a portion. There was no notice in the mail or even an attempt made to collect payment via a phone call. That's the way CCRM operates with everything, it's just horrible. I understand that you cannot put a price on having a child and it's worth a bunch of hassle, but for 37K, I would really expect them to treat you better. They were able to fill their facilities with expensive Italian marble and custom water features. It's too bad that they cannot treat their patients with the same level of care and attention utilized to make money. read more

I had no success with CCRM and several very bad personal experiences. I finally had success with the University of Colorado Advanced Reproductive Medicine Clinic, whose staff had an excellent bedside manner and the procedures were considerably more affordable. In my opinion, don't waste your time with CCRM. I cannot recommend this clinic. read more

We wouldn't have children if it weren't for CCRM. There's not much more to say, but I will add a bit more. From our very first appointment with Dr. Gustofson we felt totally comfortable with him and the CCRM staff. The staff made us feel like family at every appointment. They were always caring, interested in our progress, and incredibly supportive throughout. We went through three rounds of retrievals, did two transfers (one embryo per) and we have two healthy children as a result! If I would have known about CCRM and Dr Schoolcraft from the beginning of our infertility journey, I would have ran as fast as I could to CCRM and never wasted an ounce of precious time or precious money on any other clinics. CCRM Lone Tree is quite far from where we live but after learning about their expertise, their success rate and mostly after having my initial phone consult with Dr Schoolcraft, we were extremely intrigued and a new fire had been lit inside of us and we just knew if we wanted success, we needed to go see Dr Schoolcraft. I know so many people have had success with CCRM but I wasted ~$40k. Here's why. Their literature states that ICSI takes care of sperm that might have issues from men using statins. BS. ICSI picks out the best sperm for fertilization, it doesn't pick out the sperm with the least amount of DNA fragmentation. The sperm DNA kicks in on day-3 for the developing embryo. You need PICSI to handle sperm DNA fragmentation. If Schoolcraft and & co had bothered to update their research they'd see studies indicating that statins cause sperm DNA fragmentation and ICSI is not a solution. That's why my embryos were arresting after day-3. It took a smart and compassionate RE in LA to figure this out immediately, after I gave him my two minute elevator pitch. What a shame given their labs etc is supposed to be top of the line. Update: An absolutely not so happy Dr Schoolcraft called me one evening Aug 2018) and said they did check the sperm - two months before we cycled and I expressed my concern that someone using statins should be checked at time of cycling. They said they will update their literature to point out that ICSI does not handle sperm fragmentation. I also asked why that cycle went wrong but at this point, the conversation was getting strained so I decided not to continue probing. Their coordinator followed up the next day with information though it didn't explain what could have gone wrong with my cycle. read more

While the doctors and those who treat the patients are professional and courteous, the billing practices at CCRM are wholly dishonest. We were told clearly the cost of a certain package of treatment - a flat rate. THEN at check out, they charged an additional $200 (for lab fees - again, the service being part of the package, but were never told there would be an extra charge here) AND THEN we were charged an additional $325 for the consult (also part of the package, but the charge was extra and never mentioned). So whatever charge they tell you - be warned, it will be approximately 50% higher than what they quote you. And if you ask for a refund, they will outright refuse to negotiate with you and threaten to cancel services if you try. Find another medial center. CCRM takes advantage of people in a vulnerable position. UPDATE - received a call from their director. While she was far more respectful to speak to, they still insisted that they would not issue any refunds or credits based upon their own employees' miscommunication. Again, highly recommend finding another place to go and avoid CCRM. The doctors are great, but the financial department is deceptive and will not work with you. Prepare to be charged at least an additional 50% over what they tell you they will charge you, and they will not work with you. read more

Dr. Surrey was our doctor and he was perfect for our family. Our first time trying IVF was with him at this clinic and everything went seamlessly. We are now 6 months pregnant with fraternal twins and have transferred to our OBGYN for the remainder of the pregnancy, as is standard after the first trimester. If we decide to do IVF again we will now be able to come back with our frozen embryos to implant again here. read more
