I love this place. They always have super cute clothes and great customer service as well! I used to go to the Baby Exchange in La Mesa but I wasn't feeling the love there. The longer drive is worth it! Additionally, one of the many times I was there, I realized after bringing a huge stack of clothes I wanted to buy that I had forgotten my debit card (Mom brain). The woman working helped me figure out an alternative method and I ended up using my paypal account instead. Truly nice people :) read more

This place has never let me or my family down! Selling is easy too! In my opinion the nicest baby resell in east county. You guys are so welcoming and show that you care for your customers. Amazing prices and great quality items. read more

Love this place. I almost always find what I'm looking for. Today I went in for a bassinet to use for my newborn and for travel. I found a better one than ones I was looking for online. I also asked tori questions about car seats since I want one for my in-laws. She happens to be certified and gave me so many great tips. So happy I came in today! read more

Staff is friendly. Selling process is organized and fair. We have found some very nice book sets and outfits for the kids here. One of my favorite children's resale shops. read more

Conceptions Childrens Resale - Children's Clothing Near Me - Santee, California

First of all I want say I'm very disappointed with this store for my very first time ever. Im constantly selling and buying my baby and toddler stuff and never have an issue. The owners and staff are super great people I love them all. But I recently went to sell some baby clothes in great to excellent conditions baby shoes with tags and toddler stuff, AND THEY BOUGHT MY STUFF FOR A VERY CHEAP PRICE which I was ok with because they sell their stuff for cheap. I went the next day to go buy and I've seen some stuff that I've have sold to the store IN A VERY HIGH PRICE :/ I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED WITH YOU GUYS CUZ YOUR PRICES USE TO BE IGREAT PRICES I FEEL LIKE YOU GUYS RAISE YOUR PRICES AND BUYING STUFF FOR A VERY LOW PRICE. How sad your prices are skyrocket now read more

I have gotten so many items here for my daughter. They have new and used products and the staff is super knowledgeable about all things baby. I would recommend anyone with babies to come here. read more

Great place to shop! And awesome ladies who will help you with any questions. Can't wait to go back when baby number two arrives.

I love the staff here. So warm and kind. I love checking out their $0.99 rack. The store is really well organized so it's easy to find what I'm looking for. read more

Conceptions is a hidden gem in Santee. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and there is always an excellent selection.

This place is a wonderful place for selling your used baby items. I have been brining in my children's clothes like crazy lately because I have 4 years of clothes to sort through! I feel like they give a good amount of money for clothing. I have taken in a double stroller and got $25 I was pretty pleased cause I could not sell it any where! They don't have many boy sizes 3t and up I wish they had more! They have popular new baby gear and the hottest items like the Tula! read more

Some of you may recognize my name. I'm Torrie and I used to own Conceptions. I know it may be uncommon for former owners to make a review about their previous business, but I'd like to think many opinion counts too :) Im sure we all know a lot of business have their friends write some of their reviews anyways. I want to be honest and straight forward. If you think about it, employees / managers really know what is going on in that business and can give you the most direct and truthful description (if that person is honest and unbiased... which I consider my self to be.) I cant say much about the way other children's resale stores run, but I can tell you about this one. The new owners have done an amazing job giving this business new life. They were able to accomplish all the things we never had a chance to do. They always kept the customers in mind, kept the prices fair and extremely competitive all while continuing to make sure the store reaches all its possibilities. I love that it stayed family owened; grandma and grandpa help, dad comes in, mom stops by, the two sisters working side by side with the new baby greeting everyone with her cute grin. They have done everything respectfully, honestly and integratively. I'm personally impressed and hope that you will be too. Check out the new place, its way better than the old one. Thanks for allowing me to share my personal thoughts from behind the scenes. read more

Huge selection and great prices. Everything is neatly organized and easy to find. Customer service is always prompt and friendly.

This is my favorite kids resale store. The selling process is super easy and the employees are very nice. They also have a giant selection of new items; trendy baby gadgets, luxury diaper bags, and luxury baby carriers. It's such a great thing to basically swap out your kids clothes. I'll bring in all my daughter's stuff she outgrew, they buy some of it for store credit, and then I get to her stuff in a bigger size. Oh they also have a really good selection of "baby earrings". My only issue with them is their hold policy... long story short, they don't care if you're running late, if you miss the pick up time, you're SOL. My run in with trying to get them to hold a play kitchen for me was really irritating. read more

My review is for their new location which is AWESOME! They have a huge parking lot with plenty of parking, air conditioning inside, much more open spaces & better displays, LOT'S more room for more inventory. I have sold here twice already & it's still a pretty easy process. I have been to a few other baby retail locations in east county & Conceptions blows them out of the water with the prices they offer...Baby Exchange in La Mesa wanted to give me $7 cash or $11 store credit for my excellent condition Eddie Bauer Graco stroller, while Conceptions happily more than doubled my store credit. The girls are always friendly & helpful, they buy 4 days a week. read more

Just a tip...the bathroom was unusable it was so dirty when I last visited. There was a solid ring in the toilet that shows up if you haven't cleaned in a long time and the floors were unsightly. I like this store but it makes me worry about how other items are handled.. read more

It's been about 3 years since I've visited Conceptions. I used to visit their old location on Mission Gorge when my 8 year old was a baby. I was in the shopping center the other day to get groceries and decided to check out their new location. It's PACKED full of goodies! I purchased two board games for my kids at $5 each that retail about $20-25 new on Amazon. I also found two cute pairs of pajamas for my 2 year old on the 99 cent clearance rack. Carters 2 piece pajama sets for $1! I only checked out the clearance rack since I was in a hurry, but they had an assortment of clothing racks that I will be going back to check out. read more

This was exactly what I was looking for. A wide variety of clothes and general baby items. Good amount of boys clothes but boys are always harder to find than girls. Amazing amount of strollers, carriers, diaper bags etc. The staff are wonderful. They helped me find exactly what I needed and helped me figure out how all the items worked before I bought them. Will absolutely return again. read more

MUST READ! After i read all the reviews on here i figured "Hey they must be really good!". So I called, the lady who answered the phone seemed rushed and wanted to get off the phone quick.. mind you I'm calling to get information about how i can take my clothes in for resale. If I could give them NEGATIVE stars i would! SHE WAS SOOOOOO RUDE, it was ridiculous! Her comments were SO uncalled for! Here are some of the things she RUDELY told me.. "If its not name brand i wouldn't bring it, don't waste your time".. "If you shop at wal mart or carters, don't bring that" - Mind you i LOVE carters and some of the clothes they sell are absolutely adorable to me! "oh really you have brand name clothes, what do YOU consider name brand". EXTREMELY RUDE LADY! Please consider going somewhere else! read more

My experience here was great! The workers are nice and there are lots of items! I went specifically for clothes for my daughter and not only found exactly what I wanted, they were having a buy 2 get 1 free sale on clothes! The prices on the clothes were perfect for a military family on a strict budget. I'll definitely be shopping here again! read more

This place is great it had the prices we could afford with gently used baby clothes, toys, shoes. So much selection and the associate was very kind and helpful! read more

My biggest complaint is that it is located about 30 minutes away from me . Yes, they are very picky about what they buy, but what that translates to is that everything you find in the store is high quality. It is exceptional that they allow you to use store credit from what they bought from you for the retail items they offer from a lot of great brands like Melissa & Doug, Jujube, Zoli and much more. I am disappointed they don't seem to be continuing to restock Jujube items, because I've been buying Jujube from them for many years. Can you move to central San Diego? read more

Went to sell my daughters gently used items and it was done, quick and painless. The store is super organized and has a great selection.

Rachel is amazing. :)). She was so helpful and help me with all my sons clothing. :)). She was so kind and I am excited to dig up for the reward points. I will definitely be back for some more clothing for my 18 mo old. Oh and prices are great. I love this place! read more

I went there today for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted right off the bat, and the people there are extremely friendly and attentive. I experienced both the buying and selling process. I brought in a lot of clothing and toys, and although they only took about half (due to season, etc) they were very fair with the pricing, and shows they hold high standards for what their customers purchase (which is a good thing). My son also picked out a brand new, sealed, 60 piece Melissa and Doug puzzle for $6, which I found to be a great deal. Loved the layout they had, and how organized it was. Definitely will be going back! My new favorite baby resale shop read more

I love this store! I shop here at least once or twice a week to buy clothes for my son & to purchase toys and books for my daycare. Every shopping experience that I have had here has been a great one. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. read more

I'm so glad to have found a baby resale shop that really takes pride in customer satisfaction!! I've sold many baby product's there. Every time I walk away glad! They are the best at giving you a cash value. They are by far way better at buying then the baby exchange! I will always keep coming to them now, instead of the baby exchange in which I use to sell too. Just a overall honest company to buy and sell. You won't be let down here they have alot on hand to choose from at all times! read more

This is a great little shop. I've driven by this strip mall many times without noticing, but now that we're expecting twins, it's a great place to get some baby gear. They have a nice mix of gently used items and new items. I scored a pregnancy pillow and some maternity clothes all for less than $40 on sale. I also got to try on a rare twin carrier that none of the other baby stores in town had. I will definitely be back for more goodies! read more

The BEST children's resale shop around. Quality items, the nicest staff, and super affordable. Love shopping here!

I have sold and bought here a handful of time. The staff is amazingly friendly, easy to talk to, relatable and honest. The selections of clothes and equipment is extensive. It is my favorite consignment shop around. And I haven't found one comparable yet!! read more

Came here for the first time yesterday and it was awesome. It was 30 minutes before closing but the girls working did not seem to mind at all. Very polite and attentive, and didn't seem to mind my energetic 2 year old running around playing with the toys in the back. I came here because I needed warm clothes for my 9 month old who has grown out of all of his and my 2 year olds hand me downs have seem to disappeared. They have a good size rack towards the back of the store where I found a large selection of warm pajamas for my little man for only 99 cents, it was awesome. They have a great selection of clothing and sizes for very reasonable prices. They also have shoes, toys, cribs, strollers, etc....everything you could need. I will definitely be coming back again and again and will refer everyone I know to come here. I bought a brand new toddler mattress still in the bag and a large bag of baby clothes for only $60.00 can't beat the prices and the service was great, the employees were soooo nice. Can't wait to go back!! read more

Brought my housekeeper to Conceptions, who just had a baby boy. Sherry really helped explain everything regarding strollers and car seats. Don't waste your time on these type of people. I called in advance, from Coronado, and to ALL of the surrounding resale shops, (later) to my surprise, that they all conveniently now own... they all fed me the "yeah yeah we will work with you" crap. I drive over there with over $150.00 worth of nice things, and as you can imagine, paying Diesel fuel to get there. They offer me $10.00 for something that is worth a good $50-75.00. Granted I get the whole resale, everyone needs to make A profit, but don't feed me your crap about how hard it is for you to sell. I drove over there thinking it was an easier solution than marketing it myself. I was sooo wrong. These people then tell you there is an outside bin where you can "donate" your other items. Hummm really? I don't think I trust you to do that. You tell me that you will offer me a fair rate, and make me drive, knowing beforehand what you will offer me, which is rude as heck by the way, then tell me about a "donation" bin... how about NO. What makes me think you will donate it? You will just take those donated items for free and probably sell those to. I will take MY donations to a local church before you can have them. Thanks but no thanks, to you or your Baby Exchange stores. Enter at your own risk! read more

I love this store!!! The clothes are high quality, the staff is very friendly, and you get a fair price for your items. I recently sold a baby swing and change table, and I was very happy how the staff helped me lift everything out of my SUV. I go all the way to Santee to shop and resale for my toddler girl, and I highly recommend you check out Conceptions Children's Store. Happy Anniversary!!! read more
