Unfortunately between the prices and now a 3% surcharge on credit cards I've decided to no longer support this thrift store. I was told the surcharge was because of Square- no it isn't. It's a choice by the ownership or church board or whoever runs this place. Adding a charge to shop at your store while also raising prices on donated items is just rude. I used to shop here a lot, sad. read more

Buyer Beware. They might be affiliated with the church, but they attempt to cheat and steal....... They knowingly sell damaged merchandise without disclosure......explanation I have had several bad experiences but try to tell myself that my donations and purchases go to s good cause I have even attended Journe church. Bad customer service, people annoyed with having to open a fitting room or answer a question, but this went too far. I was trying on a few sweaters in the open not in a fitting room using a mirror that was available when I noticed one of the sweaters had a rather large hole (approximately size of a quarter) I knew it would require taking it the be mended. I went to the register to ask if they would give a markdown for the damage. There were several other sweaters same quality brands and materials they were all priced the same as the damaged sweater. The two different cashiers who saw the damage agreed it should not be sold as is. One thought it should be simply no sold and thrown away. I said I was willing to repair so the other cashier said they would talk to manager for a discount. Because as I said it was being sold as the others without damage. Well once the manager Michelle got into the picture, she was rude acted as if I was out of line for asking for a discount said it was priced with the damage in mind. she claimed it was known to be damaged when they priced it. when I said may I show you all the other sweaters marked at the same with no damage. She would not have it and claimed it would be put back on the floor as is. She had not comment when I even said that both cashiers felt it should be discounted or removed from sale. I at least did not want someone else to buy it not seeing the damage and get home disappointed. When I made the comment that if she was going to return it to the floor it should be marked as-is or damaged on the tag to be fair to customers. she didn't think it was necessary. to me selling something knowingly damaged without disclosure when customers have no recourse to return is wrong and no better than selling a knowingly broken appliance just to make money. People expect honesty and disclosure Michelle is an awful manager in my opinion and is hurting the reputation of this store. read more

Pricing is OUTRAGEOUS. I just can't make sense of going into a thrift store and spending as much as you would spend if you went into Ross, T.J. Maxx, or Marshalls. And you would actually be able to get it brand new. Heck, it might even come with a lid if you buy it brand new. I want to make a couple of fall brownies and I want to make them in dishes and then the person can actually just keep the dish. I don't want to put it in a throwaway. I want to put it in something and then tell them that they can keep the dish. It makes sense for me to just go to the thrift store and see if I can find some good priced dishes. But the dishes cost more in the thrift store than they do if you just went to the store. I went to Marshalls and they had these cute little fall ceramic baking dishes that come with lids for $7. And then all the dishes in the thrift stores literally start at anyone that looks nice. It starts at pricing like this. I think that this is just crazy. This is why people are just buying stuff new instead of buying things from the thrift store. Because if I can buy it brand new at the store, why would I pay this price to you? And it doesn't come with a lid. Make it make sense. This is crazy. Are we expected to haggle? read more

Not worth driving over here. A lot of the clothes are worn out/stained and still priced high. Almost none of the prices make sense, a lot of these items should be free or in the trash. Also I was incredibly disappointed to see this can of formula there priced for $8. I got these type of cans for free as samples when I had my baby. The ones I didn't use I gifted them on "mommy & me" fb groups and that's what everyone else does on that group. Smh read more

I've had this store bookmarked for a long time and I had the chance to pay them a visit a few weekends ago. I found 3 awesome pieces of clothing that usually retail for a lot! This is one if three thrift stores I hit up occasionally in my area. While I'm usually looking for craft items, I try make a general sweep of the store just in case there is some hidden treasure I can't resist. Their prices are reasonable, they have good sales and mark-downs and I usually get out of there only spending $5-10. The clerks are helpful and the merchandise is in pretty good condition. Because it is a large, well-lit square, neat and organized, it is easy to see what they have. They have adult and childrens' clothing, a smattering of furniture, housewares and some really nice home decorating items. The store is located across the street from Dixieline Lumber. Parking is easy since there is a big lot. The church next to them runs it so I assume the income goes to a good cause. I recommend it to others all the time. read more

Today has really been unsettling for me and it's all due to my experience with this thrift store. Probably the worst customer service I've ever received. I noticed a cute necklace and asked if I could see it. I tried it on and liked it. It was priced at $39, the tag said it was sterling silver. Happy with item I decided to purchase it. At the cash register I remembered that silver is engraved with .925. When I notice that neither the necklace or the pendant had the stamp. I then asked if I could return the item if the necklace was not silver. The employee wasn't sure what the outcome would be so she asked for assistance. Now! This is were the rudeness began. They both behaved stunned to my question and assured me that the item would not be labeled silver if it wasn't. They giggled and stated that their jeweler was an expert and mistakes had never occurred before. The number of times I was told that this would be an "unlikely" issue was pushed. They questioned my knowledge of jewelry and persuaded me into believing there wouldn't be an issue. After some time of dancing around the question they finally told me that a refund would be given if the necklace was not silver. I was told that the receipt would enough for it. This was my first time at this store. I had zero knowledge of their no return policy. So, I bought the item. I went home and remembered that I can check silver with a magnet. Lo and behold the necklace was attracted with the magnet. Silver does not attract magnets. This was a fake. I grabbed my receipt and headed back to the thrift store. When I arrived the two employees were no longer there. I was passed on to three different employees who all told me that refunds are not allowed. They called management and called the employees who did the purchase. Never was the item or my receipt looked at. The employees who sold me the necklace said I was lying and that they never offered a refund. I then was not believed by the employees there. This is when I grew angry. I was told multiple times to wait for how "unlikely" they found it that I was offered a refund. What I still don't understand was why they kept a specific attention to their return policy and not to the fact that they sold me an item that was falsely advertised. While waiting I got on my phone with my husband. I was very angry and explaining to him what was going on. During this explanation I began using profanity, a few f-bombs which I still believe were well deserved. Because of my anger and my choice of words I was asked to be removed from the store. I refused because I was not leaving without a refund. I then stopped with the f bombs but I had every right to be angry. I was sold a fake, I was laughed at, I was portrayed as a liar, I was left waiting while I could clearly hear employees talking about how a refund won't be issued, and finally I was humiliated. After some time I was granted a refund. I was explained the policy and told that in the future I would not be granted one. What!!!! I get sold a fake and I'm the one who made a mistake? Not once did I receive an apology. I recommend you check the jewelry before purchase or steer away altogether. A magnet would indicate if the item is silver or not. I wouldn't trust their judgment on their pieces as they didn't even know anything about how to tell if it's real or not. As for gold, we'll I doubt they get any pieces in. But I definitely wouldn't trust that! read more

I love shopping at Twice Treasured Thrift Store. Their prices are lower than almost any other store in East County. It's so well organized, clean, and the clothes are all hung according to sizes. An added bonus is... If you donate ANYTHING to the store( no "HazMat", combustibles, or produce) they'll give you, with your tax receipt, a coupon good for 20% off any used item in the store good for up to 30 days from the day you donated. In the past year, their selection and quality has dropped drastically. At one point, they offered really nice items in good condition, but on recent visits, I found mostly junky, worn items. None of the staff/volunteers were wearing face coverings when I arrived, and all of them were huddled closely together behind the register (At the time of this writing we are still under a full masking and social distancing mandate). No greeting, which is usually not a big deal to me. However I clearly had some items to purchase I had picked up outside, but I was never acknowledged as someone trying to pay. Together this culminates in a message being sent: no regard for their customer's safety or experience. I put the items back outside and left, disgusted. I shouldn't have to ask the staff/volunteers to put on a mask or provide extremely basic customer service. I get they're volunteers. However I don't think I'm asking for a lot. Literally the bare minimum. Usually my experience here is passable. I've come here often in the past as it is on my way home. Prices are hit or miss, but I sometimes find something good. That's what the 1 star is for. Worth mentioning that in the past I've heard staff/volunteers also loudly calling someone (not present there) a "r****d". Don't know why they thought that was an ok thing to do in the middle of the store, or anywhere at anytime for that matter. Wish I could say this place is a good representation of what a Christian ministry is, but boy does it leave a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe consider actually hiring and training some staff that have a vested interest (their paycheck) in not being blatantly disrespectful. Clearly Christian virtue isn't enough of a motivator. I came in the store in locationed in the middle of no where, because I was early to my next appointment. I was the only person in the store with three employees. I found a pair of jeans that may fit I ask the first employee where the changing room is and she say they are over there but they may not be open. She was correct the they where not open, I asked the second lady for access to the changing room. Sorry we close the at 5:30pm, it is 5:35 at this time. I said look I would like to purchase these pants but I would like to try them on first. Sorry they close at 5:30. I asked would you like me to change my pants here in the middle of the store? She went to the manager to ask. The manager said our policy is 5:30 so we don't have a rush at the end of the night. I'm the only person in the store, there will not be a rush in the last 15 minutes on a Tuesday night. I guess they didn't want my money today or any day in the future. read more

I bought a radio for my van and paid $25 for it (supposedly brand new and was "tested" and working). It only works with Chrysler it seems so I asked if i could trade it in for one that they have (used and made for GM) that was only $5. The one i bought was #25. The lady said no. I asked why and she said store policy. This is how Christians treat each other? Glad I'm not Christian. Remember Jesus and the money-changers? Mark 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." As I left she told me to have a "blessed" day. I am blessed. blessed not to be a part of their phony business disguised as religion. Prices are very high, by the way. Go to the Salvation Army. At least they don't pretend to be doing God's work and they actually are. The Salvation Army help drug addicted people with the profits. Came here for the first time the other day! I found the cutest dresser that was dying for me to repaint it! So I had them load it in my car! The lady who helped was so nice! Fairly good with home and miscellaneous items, however clothes, shoes and purses are used. Really used and not as good or almost new as you would find at Goodwill. Not a big deal, but here's the kicker, now they seem to believe they're selling brand new things. Only last year I bought (what I now understand was rare) the most beautiful wool coat for 12.99. I just checked them out this month several times and they're selling coats, jackets for$20, $30. What! Some of it is actually laughable. I rather get new items on sale for similar prices. I thought they were a charity related business! If they don't sell all the junk, do they understand it ends up on massive landfills? They've become greedy. To top it all off, one thing I was willing to overlook before was the unfriendly costumer service by ALL of the quintessential church ladies who tend the shop. Every single one of them acts like they're doing you a favor, like you might steal something, or like you're some lowly educated peasant who's beneath them. Sigh.
