1st time here today, my friend and I walked over after having lunch nearby. Boutique style retail…read morebut very AFFORDABLE. Great location, huge store, very clean and lots of different things to buy! Cute clothing and they had options in my size (1x). Ive actually never been in because i thought i would never be able to fit in boutique style clothing. I walked out with 2 things and LOVE how i look and feel in them. Super cute accessories & home decor items. I would have purchased some for my wedding centerpieces but another lady bought them all. The girl working was SO nice to the super rude lady who bought them. Bless her heart lol. She might have been the owner, Idk, she knew alot about the place. Oh and its owned by a non-profit! Or something like that. Anyways I really like this place!

Woohooo first review!!!…read more The employees here are very welcoming here at seek + gather. The store is rearranged by themes, they sell one of a kind outfits and do carry designer clothing. They have vintage styles, western styles, and antique household accessories. You never know what you will find here, I stumbled on some pretty cool things. The store has a upbeat cool vibe to it they play really good tunes during your shopping experience. Something's in here are on the pricey side but you can also find really good sales. I recommend coming and checking this place out for yourselves. They have calk board signs placed outside to help direct you to the store. Yeeaa I said it, enjoy yelpers!!!

I did find a George Jones CD. I also found a cool hat. What stands out about this location is how welcome and appreciated I felt in here. I was greeted by a couple of associates on the floor. The cashier was pleasant. She was friendly and helpful. She even carried on a conversation with me. It was a great visit. parking was a bit tricky based on the fact I'd never been here before, and my GPS misguided me through the Donation center . The guy was nice and directed me to the parking lot.The prices seemed reasonable when you factor in today's crazy economy. I definitely reccomend this Goodwill location if you live in the area or or are treasure hunting on a road trip, and like to feel welcome and appreciated while shopping.

This location is small and very organized. They have mannequins that are dressed stylish, nicely done. I found items priced here to be more reasonable than my local goodwill. I found a few nice things to use in my garden and craft room. The selection was plentiful. Plenty of clothing, shoes and dishware. The larger furniture and bikes were displayed in front of the building. They have like a drive thru donation drop off at the side of the building. Customer service was very helpful and friendly at this location. From my experience visiting many Goodwill locations the customer service is not as friendly as this place. Keep up the good work staff. I would check out this place again if I were in the area.

I'm a long-time supporter of Father Joe's Villages thrift store at the Washington Avenue location…read morein Hillcrest. Recently, I drove to the La Mesa store with a car full of donations during a very heavy rainstorm. I pulled up to the marked donation drop-off door but was told I could not park there and needed to move across the lot, get a cart, and bring everything in myself. I explained that i was not parking, I am handicapped and offloading since it was pouring rain, but was still told no. I ended up leaving without donating or shopping. As a loyal supporter of FJV, I was very disappointed by the lack of understanding and outright rudness.

Father Joe's Villages Thrift Store has a beautiful selection, and I have come across some real gems…read morehere. The quality of the items is impressive, and the store is well organized, which makes browsing enjoyable. That said, the pricing feels more like a boutique than a thrift store. While I understand that proceeds go toward a good cause, I often leave empty‑handed because the prices are just too high for what I'd expect at a thrift. For me, part of the joy of thrifting is finding something wonderful and feeling like I scored a bargain -- not like I overpaid. If you don't mind paying a lot more, you'll likely find unique and quality pieces here. But if you're hunting for that classic thrift‑store bargain, be prepared that prices may not match the typical thrifting experience.

Example: Sized Large and in the wrong section, and then it's actually a size small according to internal tag. This has forced me to check every tag when I shop here and it's extremely frustrating. Staff is usually nice. But I had a crazy situation happen and I feel uncomfortable about it. I always hook my keys on my finger. I went to pay and had them under my clothes to pay. I set them on the counter. I walked about 10 feet away for a sec to hang something I no longer wanted back up so the cashier didn't have to. I came back to pay, went to walk to my car, realized my keys weren't there. Thinking the most rational thought, I'd left on the counter, or they fell, I didn't see them anywhere. I asked the manager to check where they were. She said I never took them off my finger, WHICH IS NOT THE TRUth...and was insisting that I'd dropped them outside. I didn't. It's day time. She them told me "this stuff been happening a lot." If people are losing items like this out of nowhere, it's time to investigate your staff. This makes no sense. I then had to uber home to grab new keys, and hope my car and items in it would still be there. I'm not accusing anyone directly. This was very bizarre and the behavior of the management didn't sit well with me.
