Okay. So this place is a front for some other business right? There's no way this is a legitimate…read moremedical office. Let's count off the red flags...#1 I make an appointment as this is the doctor assigned to me by new insurance. Everything seems normal. No mention is made of mask mandates or office hours or doctors other than the one I made the appointment with. 9:00 AM appointment, please show up at 8:45 to fill out paperwork? All good right? #2 I show up at the office on appointment day at 8:45. Door is locked. I knock, nothing. I call, nothing. I wait. At exactly 9:00 after waiting outside for 15 minutes, I call. Receptionist answers. Let's me in. She tells me I have to wear a mask. What? What year is it? Did I go back in time 4 years? Um, okay, I take the mask. No big deal. I ask about being asked to be here at 8:45 and she looks at me like I'm an idiot and says "We open at 9:00" Mmmmkaaay. #3 After I take 15-20 minutes to fill out paperwork (obviously) a visibly annoyed staff member shows me to a room. Yep, this is clearly all my fault. #4 I finally get to see the doctor I made an appointment with? Nope! I am now being seen by a PA student. Nobody told me this or asked my permission (honestly, this wonderful woman would end up being the best part of my experience and I sincerely hope she wasn't being held there against her will). #5 I bring all of my prescription medications with me and let her know my exact dosage and how long I've been on each one. How well they're working, etc. She says "no problem", confirms my pharmacy and which ones might need a refill. Now she has to check with the doctor (who still does not exist as far as I know) and comes back 5 minutes later. No dice. I need a referral to get any refills. Thanks for coming. We'll call you in a week with at referral. #6 Want to guess if I ever got that call?? Whatever the hell is happening in that building is not medicine. Honestly kinda glad I got out of there alive.

I had my doctors appointment today. Because my primary…read moredoctor was not in yesterday. I saw my great froend Marlene. I like this spot, for Dr. Mallow is my primary doctor.

My experience with Graybill keeps getting worse…read more More than a week ago, I tried to schedule an appointment with my regular primary care physician, whom I've seen for nearly eight years. I was told he had no appointments available until June, so I was scheduled with a PA I had never seen before. On the day of the appointment, I arrived five minutes late because of traffic. The receptionist was immediately rude and said, "You're late." I apologized and explained that I was stuck in traffic. She replied, "Well, they're very strict," and told me to sit down. Two minutes later, she told me the provider wanted to reschedule. I declined and said I would be filing a grievance instead. After I left, someone else from Graybill called me. She was also rude and unapologetic. While I was speaking with her, I had Sharp Health Plan on the other line and merged the calls. When the grievance manager asked whether the office has a grace period for late patients and whether patients are told about each doctor's preferences in advance, she said that policies vary by doctor: some will not see a patient if they are one minute late, some will see a patient if they are 15 minutes late, and some will even see a patient if they are two hours late. She then claimed that patients are always told these policies and are also told to arrive 15 minutes early. That was not true in my case. I never received any reminder or notice telling me I needed to arrive 15 minutes early. I still need medical care and am now left trying to figure out whether I need to find a new primary care provider. What makes this even more frustrating is that Pamela responded to my previous review and told me to call, but she gave me the wrong number. I later got the correct number from my primary care physician's office manager, called it, left voicemails, and never received a return call. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone looking for a new medical group to think twice before choosing Graybill. They strive to provide the worst in patient care quality.

Neighborhood Health: More Than a Clinic--They Actually Care…read more Let me tell you about a place that actually cares. A place where you're not just a name on a clipboard or a number in the system, but where people see you, hear you, and go above and beyond because they WANT to, not because they have to. That place is Neighborhood Health, and I can't say enough about the incredible experience I had there. I walked in on a Friday with a deadline that had been hanging over my head for over a year. This wasn't something I could afford to push off any longer, but it had to be handled that day. The problem? No available appointments until March. That's when I met Maria, the young lady at the front desk. Now, in most places, this is where the conversation ends. "Sorry, nothing available. Next!" But not with Maria. She didn't hide behind policy, didn't give me the usual runaround. She listened. She understood. And even though she couldn't magically open up an appointment that day, she gave me solutions. Options. A way forward. Because of her, I was able to get everything I needed in place. And somehow, she even maneuvered things to get me an appointment for Monday... something I didn't think was even possible. Fast forward to Monday, and the experience only got better. The nurse who called me back? Incredible. From the moment we started talking, it was clear she genuinely cared. We had a great conversation on the way back to the room, and for the first time in a long time at a medical facility, I didn't feel like just another patient being shuffled through the system. Then I met my doctor. And that's when I realized I had just found my primary care provider for life. This woman was professional, compassionate, and real. She took time... actual time to listen, even though I knew she had a packed schedule. And then, she did something I've never had a doctor do before: she used her lunch break to help me with the paperwork I needed to get handled. Let me say that again... her lunch break. That kind of care, that kind of commitment to people, is rare. And it's the reason I'm writing this, because places like Neighborhood Health deserve the recognition. They could have turned me away. They could have stuck to the rules and sent me packing. But they didn't. So if you need a place where you're treated like a human being instead of a case file, if you need people who will listen, problem-solve, and actually care, then go to Neighborhood Health. You won't just get medical care. You'll get people who actually care about people! And in today's world, that's everything.
