STAY AWAY!! SUPER DODGY!! If you want any actual repair done to your electronics, dont bother with this place. Horrible costume service, absolutely no communication, repair comes out half assed. On 30/8, I brought in my touchscreen laptop with a broken screen. To them I said "my touch screen is broken". The admin guy took my order just fine, told me that they can do the repair no problem and that they will call me the next day to let me know when they order the part and the cost. On 31/8 , at 5pm, I called them because I heard no news. They said the repair would be $350 & done by mid next week. On Tuesday 4/9 (after a long weekend) , I called just to confirm my laptop was being worked on (since they didn't bother calling me to let me know when it was going to be ready or if they ordered the part). I was told Wednesday 5/9 , latest on Thursday, my laptop would be ready. Shops around the city do these orders overnight, and the screen takes 20 mins to replace. But for some reason this could not be done before the long weekend started, and I was not kept in touch about whether any work was done on my laptop. Since other places around the city can do these things in same day, I didn't understand and was kept anxious.
On Thursday, at 12am, I called to ask when my laptop was going to be ready since no one called me the previous day to let me know it will be a wait. The admin guy said it will be 10 minutes until he can find out and he will call me back. 45 minutes later I call back because no one called me. This is very sketchy as you can imagine.
I was told my screen just arrived at 1pm ( so why have I been in the dark about the fact that it hasn't come yet for 5 days, if I had known this , I'd take my laptop elsewhere, because from Thursday I could have had my laptop by Tuesday in any other shop. At 1:45 they called to say the screen has been replaced and asked for the password to my laptop. That's 45 minutes of labour and I haven't had my laptop for 6 days. No one had been transparent or communicative. No one told me "shipping will take forever, and we will get it done asap". No one called me when they said they would multiple times. Why am I chasing a business for my money? Duck outta here.
So, so far I've been kept entirely in the dark about what's going on with my laptop, no one cares to let me know where it's at, they say they will communicate but don't. Okay...
So my mom goes to pick the laptop up on behalf of me ( I was at work ), they are just finishing it up ( so why you ask me for my password...?) , the touchscreen (!!!) Doesnt work on the laptop because another part of it is broken, and they are asking for another $200 to order the part and see if that will do it. So we call another computer mechanic in north York, who says if a screen is replaced whatever is broken should be fixed alongside. Because when i came in I said "my screen is broken" , not "replace my screen". They did wrong diagnostics, gave me an incorrect quote for what I was asking to be fixed, kept me in the dark the entire time about the process. So we refuse to take their $500 deal, and say just put it back together the way it was, they want to charge $100 for the labour. For 20 mins!!! And a screen that doesnt work!! I've read people have had faulty screen repairs here. Make sense.
So after I yelled on the phone, she took the laptop and went after paying the whole $355 for a non working touch screen that doesnt fit right on the laptop and literally sticks out. Didn't fix what I asked to be fixed & their best deal was charging more & more wait. For what?
Horrible costume service. Guy not understanding at all.
