To compound things, the 'recovered' data overwrote the original files making any second attempt by another repair shop impossible. All data was completely lost and I believe that to be the fault of this shop. Do not trust any data recovery task to these guys. If your experience is anything like mine, you'll lose everything.

I also brought in a 3ds which got a VERY small amount of water on it before i immediately brought it to the store and I signed up for a tech repair membership which is a monthly fee that covers 5 devices for cleaning and repairs and stuff. They dehydrated it only to tell be about 4 days after the 48 he dehydration that it didnt work and the membership i got doesn't actually cover repairs. I looked it up, it takes freshwater at LEAST a day to damage electronics beyond repair. I think they waited 2 days before even starting my device. Edit: I put my 3ds in rice for a day and now its working again after being quoted $400 to replace the part that was broken. Do NOT go to this store they will rip you off
