I had high hopes when we started with Proven IT two years ago. But I've had nothing but trouble…read morewith them from almost the first month when they were installing my server and networking with the rest of my office. From the beginning they promised that they would make sure my iPhone could sync with my calendar again, and that I would have 24/7 access to service, that they would probably know before I would if something happened to cause a problem with my network, and finally that they would document their work so that I would know how they set up my system and how to access it. Unfortunately, they didn't mean 24/7 access to service and they certainly have not ever appeared to know quickly that something was wrong. Apparently, they meant that their computers would 'monitor' my system 24/7, and whenever they got around to it, they would check the logs. One time we had a power surge and our server went down completely during business hours. We called them within 15 minutes of the episode, because we didn't want to re-start the server without them. We couldn't email them because our server and network were completely down. It took 45 minutes to through to someone there, and they were completely unaware that our server was down and we had had no computer service at all for over an hour. They also have been extremely uncooperative about disclosing my own passwords to me and my staff and treat us as if we don't understand anything about our computers. In fact, we found out after I INSISTED on knowing my server password, that it was 60 random characters long. You could not tell lower case 'L's from the number one. You could not verify whether there were spaces in the password. In fact, we tried entering it with a different IT person so he could check out and explain what our set up was - and it was impossible to enter it accurately. When we called Proven, they said they never typed it in - because they wouldn't be able to! They accessed the server via a different method that allowed them to copy and paste the whole password rather than typing it in. They couldn't even read it themselves when we asked! I could not be more disappointed. They are not overtly rude, so that is why I gave it 2 stars rather than 1. I would not recommend anyone work with them.

She was efficient, friendly and gave me lots of good suggestions for improving my PC safety and speed. The service isn't cheap - $99 for the first hour and $25 per quarter hour thereafter, but if you have a quick problem, this is a good way to go.

Ivan was so helpful and said they certainly could put in a new hard drive and the top line OS for the vintage of this iMac.
