This GUY is GREAT! (...and, his name is "Guy" so you have NO excuse to not remember THE COMPUTER GUY. I am not a Neanderthal, nor am I a Computer Nerd. I know my fair share about computers (PC's) and perhaps even more than the average person when it comes to computer hardware, software and how all these things work together - especially since I am a "PC" person (think: MICROSOFT) but use Apple Products (think: iPhone and iPad.) The past few days, I ran into an issue with emails from my GMAIL Account(s) not coming in/going out. I did some research and learned that GMAIL, as of May 30, 2022 is now ... shall we say... "separating itself" from other "apps" (I was using Microsoft Outlook" and so Gmail and Microsoft are clearly headed towards a Divorce. Being busy ... too busy ... and feeling overwhelmed, I was "this" close to unplugging all the cords and dropping my PC off and saying "Here, Guy ... FIX IT ( ..please..). Instead, once GUY heard what I was trying to do (remember, I'm overwhelmed today) he, in a seriously calm and confident voice, gave me a few suggestions on how I could accomplish this "transfer" of data myself. He reassured me that I was more than capable of doing this myself and, hey - I more than appreciated the reassurances as it saves me time, money, gas, time, money and gas). It is great to know that what I was trying to do was simpler than I thought, and, even if messed it up, a) I can't do anything .. ANYTHING .. to seriously "mess" anything up; and, b) if I didn't do it right or I need more advanced help than what I can do, he will always be there for me. Summary? as this review started, "This GUY is GREAT!". It's incredibly rare to call a small business(man) and have someone "give" some advice or suggestions to self-fix, rather than grab the opportunity to have me drop my PC off and hand me a bill later. It's also a good feeling to support a small business and get that one on one service ( or even a few tips ) that I'm sure are not doled out at The Beep Quad. My laptop is making a spinning, rattling sound. I called Guy to ask if he would open the laptop to see what part is making the noise, and if the part can be repaired or replaced. He walked me through how to find information on the laptop and the hard drive that needed to diagnose the problem remotely. After determining the problem is not the hard drive, he very honestly said the issue is outside his expertise and I should call someone else.
