I highly recommend Guy Quinn (The Computer Guy) to service your MAC or PC; repair the programs, etc., troubling you, or that you believe no longer work, all at a reasonable price for a home service call, where he patiently interviews you, learns what problems you are having, cleans up your computer, and, at his request, I allowed me to install a program allowing him to contact me for permission to view my computer from a remote location, which first forced me to sign in to it and give him a unique password and a separate code prior to his being able to access it. I recommend that you allow him to do this, as he then sees your computer in real time while you watch him 'arrow' around, repairing the problem or showing you how to do what you had been trying. Imagine you're a work from home employee, have to be out of town to care for an elderly family member. It's challenging enough to not have your usual setup, but imagine forgetting your laptop charger at home. Had problem on my desktop that windows was filling up my SSD primary drive. Chatted with Microsoft and there was not enough space on my 250 GB SSD to fix so they recommended getting and larger SSD drive and the fix. Contacted Computer Guy and he came out picked up desktop and cloned my drive on a 500 GB SSD drive. He said he could not fix Windows problem without wiping hard drive and reinstalling windows which would wipe out all my programs. He said do all Windows updates but do not contact Microsoft because they were probably not Microsoft and we would go from there. He charged $300. I chatted with Microsoft and they were able to install in new Windows without wiping put all my problems and fixed the disk filling problem. I later checked SSD hard drive I got from the computer Guy and found out it was a used SK Hynix 512 GB drive with 20,000 hours on it as measured by the Crystal Disk App. I have about 20,000 hours on my HDD second drive on my 8 year old desktop. He never said I was getting a new SSD drive but I assumed so . It seems getting a used hard drive and him not recommending contacting the previous Microsoft chat were poor actions. read more

I had to update my IOS from a very outdated windows to the current 11 in order to file my taxes. I had hoped to use my existing computer and just update it, but after speaking w/Guy about pros and cons, i went w/a new computer w/an already updated windows 11, but i still needed all my data transferred. Being very unsavvy about technology, i used Guy to transfer everything onto my new laptop. He came to my house to do the transfer and brought a bunch of his equipment w/him to do the job, but, since my system was SO old, he was unable to take care of the transfer right there. He needed to take the old laptop back to his shop to complete the job. I was worried about him being able to retrieve all the files and such, but he assured me it would be just a little longer of a process. In the mean time, he set up my new computer w/what i needed to use it. A day later, he returned w/all my files and pictures and whatever else accumulated on my old laptop and then downloaded all that data back onto my new laptop. Stayed w/me as he made sure i had access to everything. The whole process was stressful (for me), but Guy made it easy and he's just a generally personable dude.
