Guy is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He helped me analyze my desktop computer and discovered that it was running a very old version of Windows. That was the reason it was SO SLOW. He really knows his stuff and will spend time on the phone initially to determine if you need a service call. Highly recommend!! :) read more

My family was having network issues (spotty with dropped connectivity throughout the day). We have many devices connected to a spectrum modem and orbi netgear router. Guy was extremely helpful before we even scheduled his visit and suggested a system for what our household needed. It was fast and easy to book an appointment with him. When he came out he spent 30mins on the phone with Spectrum for us troubleshooting and resetting the modem and router. He was able to determine the speed was more than adequate and suggested a way for us to improve our connectivity with a device that's far away and requires a lot of download usage. He was extremely helpful, professional and explained everything in an easy-to-understand way. We highly recommend Guy for any technical services! read more

Imagine you're a work from home employee, have to be out of town to care for an elderly family member. It's challenging enough to not have your usual setup, but imagine forgetting your laptop charger at home. Well, I am currently 2.5 hours away from home and in a panic because I've got two projects to deliver! I stopped by the closest computer store and purchase an off-brand laptop charger. Unfortunately, my high performance Dell didn't like this charger and it has degraded performance. I had no choice to search for an OEM laptop charger for my high performance Dell laptop. In came the local Computer Guy offering MANY solutions when I reached out. He even offered lending the Dell laptop charger to me while in town. I sincerely appreciate and value him taking the time to provide such a great service. The Computer Guy is HIGHLY recommended for all your computer needs. Thanks so much! read more

And after multiple troubleshooting efforts and no avail I finally decided to bring in the expert. After a quick call with Guy and explaining what my computer is prompting and what it's doing; he explained what the issue could possibly be and gave me a quote. With no physical location he can give you a better price that other brick and mortar shops can't due to overhead. He can do at home service, or pick up your asset or meet and do a drop off. During every step of the way Guy would give me an update of what the issue was and what options I had to continue the repair. He was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Guy Quinn (The Computer Guy) to service your MAC or PC; repair the programs, etc., troubling you, or that you believe no longer work, all at a reasonable price for a home service call, where he patiently interviews you, learns what problems you are having, cleans up your computer, and, at his request, I allowed me to install a program allowing him to contact me for permission to view my computer from a remote location, which first forced me to sign in to it and give him a unique password and a separate code prior to his being able to access it. I recommend that you allow him to do this, as he then sees your computer in real time while you watch him 'arrow' around, repairing the problem or showing you how to do what you had been trying. In fact, I called him today, allowed him to log in, and, in a few minutes, we fixed it at no charge. You will be extremely satisfied with Guy's expert and professional work. A very satisfied and customer, thrilled to have finally found THE COMPUTER GUY!! I recommend him extremely highly. read more

Reached out to the computer guy because I was having trouble transferring pictures from my SD card to my phone. He was willing to listen and workshop my problem with me over the phone to help me out. After two phone calls, I was able to recover my photos! Super thankful for his expertise and willingness to help brainstorm a solution over the phone. I was about to take my SD card to geek squad who was going to charge me $50 just for a consultation, not including the service fee of data restoration that they said would range from $200-400. I called Guy The Computer Guy for help with my son's personal PC build that wasn't powering up after we had installed all the components. Even though I was just reaching out for some quick advice, he took the time to walk me through a few key things to check and troubleshoot. He immediately offered valuable insights -- like how having all the right components doesn't always mean they're compatible with one another. That alone saved us hours of frustration. He even pointed me to a great resource site where I could double-check the hardware we purchased to make sure everything was compatible. What really stood out was his honesty. He was upfront that personal PC building isn't his main line of work, but he still took the time to help out and explain things clearly. No upselling, no BS -- just a genuinely helpful person pointing us in the right direction. In a world full of tech "experts" trying to make a buck off every question, it's refreshing to come across someone who truly cares about helping people -- especially younger folks who are learning and getting into tech for the first time. I really appreciated his integrity, generosity, and willingness to share knowledge. Highly recommend reaching out to Guy The Computer Guy -- not just for what he does, but for the kind of person he is. read more

I had to update my IOS from a very outdated windows to the current 11 in order to file my taxes. I had hoped to use my existing computer and just update it, but after speaking w/Guy about pros and cons, i went w/a new computer w/an already updated windows 11, but i still needed all my data transferred. Being very unsavvy about technology, i used Guy to transfer everything onto my new laptop. He came to my house to do the transfer and brought a bunch of his equipment w/him to do the job, but, since my system was SO old, he was unable to take care of the transfer right there. He needed to take the old laptop back to his shop to complete the job. I was worried about him being able to retrieve all the files and such, but he assured me it would be just a little longer of a process. In the mean time, he set up my new computer w/what i needed to use it. A day later, he returned w/all my files and pictures and whatever else accumulated on my old laptop and then downloaded all that data back onto my new laptop. Stayed w/me as he made sure i had access to everything. The whole process was stressful (for me), but Guy made it easy and he's just a generally personable dude. I would highly recommend him if you need help w/your computer. read more

Guy Quinn, The Computer Guy, was recommended to us by a friend. We had serious security issues with our computer and he came out promptly and worked on both of our computers. He cleaned them up, checked for any additional issues, and then helped us set up new codes for everything, including our wifi service. Just delightul, personable, and respectful/patient with our ignorance. He taught us a lot that will be helpful to us in the future. Highly recommend.
