I recently moved here from Birmingham, AL and called the North Augusta Autozone to get a price…read morecheck for a battery for my car. After she told me the different prices for the batteries with warranties, I asked her if they were going to install the battery. Her answer was, "If we can get to it.", then she hung up.I WILL NEVER CALL AGAIN AND I WON'T GO THERE AS A CUSTOMER. Thank You for showing me in advance that YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.

After my car battery left me stranded in North Augusta (and someone jumped my car) I searched for…read morethe closest Autozone because in the past someone told me that they can check how well your vehicle's battery is functioning. It's true, they have this amazing, little machine that hooked up to the terminals like jumper cables and checks what percentage your battery is operating at. A sweet gentleman, named Patrick, braved the cold outdoors and hooked my battery up. After a few minutes of pushing buttons on the machine he shows me the screen--that I couldn't understand, and told me that my battery was operating at 12%. Boo. Then, instead of telling me that I needed to purchase something right then and forcing the most expensive thing on me (because I would have thought I needed it immediately, I didn't want to live at the North Augusta Autozone until my new battery could be shipped there), he asked how long I had owned my current battery and then encouraged me to contact the original dealer and check the warranty... and get this, he told me that because he didn't want me to have to purchase something more expensive when I could, if it was still under warranty, get it exchanged. I know, I know, he could have had me. Instead he was genuine and acted for the customers' interest and probably gained me as a return customer. Anyone willing to send a customer away because it is in their better interest tells me that they really care about me as a customer and that they really know what they are talking about. I didn't purchase anything but I will be going back here again, without hesitation, if something else comes up and I need their services.

I decided to try and replace them myself and went to O'Reilly's where Mike (Michael?) completely made my day! He was friendly, attentive, caring, helped me choose affordable lights, and even came out to my car and taught me how to change the lights, in addition to other parts of the car. He went above and beyond to help me and made me a loyal customer for good. It is rare to find young people like him these days! Please give him recognition.

This really is important and helps when you need a second opinion on a repair. Today, I was hopingm to just pick up a few things and be on my way. The problem was I saw there were four employees. Three employees that look like management were all helping someone in the back. This left one employee managing the store. I walked in hoping to just complete my purchase and be in and out, two people were in line ahead of me. The person talking to the cashier was talking about the repairs and the correct parts they need, which is perfect, but in about five minutes a long line appeared. I probably did not get to the cashier until a good 15 minutes. I saw the three employees walk by several times, which left me confused as to why it took three people to look at one customer issue, while leaving only one cashier to handle the store.
