I have known Dina and Ernest Allen, the owners of the wonderful alternative medicine business for…read moreabout ten years now. I had a small flower and gift shop a couple of doors down from them several years ago and was always impressed at how caring and attentive they were to their clientele. They are extremely knowledgeable about most health issues that pop up to plague human beings (and animals too...but that's a story for another day). Almost a week ago I went to the ER with a severe attack of gallstones. I was in intense pain and after a battery of tests, bloodwork and a CATSCAN I was sent home with no resolution save for a vicodin prescription and a recommendation for surgery. After a couple of days where the pain only got worse, I was at wit's end and thought to call on Dina. She painstakingly advised me what to do in a non-surgical holistic manner to pass the gallstones on my own. Several patient conversations later, with two days of her coaching, I managed to pass the stones, eliminate the pain, and have eaten my first meal in a week! I met with her today and she and Ernest gave me nutritional counseling based on my blood type and set me up with the enzymes and supplements needed to restore my embattled digestive system. I have no health insurance and usually choose holistic measures over traditional medicine whenever possible. I would wholeheartedly recommend these fine people for any health issues and supplement support for anybody who would like to explore alternatives, or simply wants a healthier body.

There are soooo many testimonies of these herbs improving ones overall health and also, in specific areas. Speaking from personal experience, I have been able to reverse conditions within my body that doctors told me I would need medication for. I've actually had my doctor go speechless with disbelief when she found out my results. Physicians are now opening up to natrual/herbal remedies and I look forward to more of them innovating their practices. Call the office and ask questions, let them know what you are wanting to better within your body, and change yourself life. The herb that I recommend to always have in your basket, would be SUPERLAX. It will start your body off in the right direction. Hey! Make sure you take care of your body now so that it can take care of you later.

In addition, they carry healthy food brands, like you'd see in. Whole Foods or co-op, without the crowds or jockeying to find a parking spot. There's fresh produce and frozen items in the back of the store. They carry a wide selection of Annie's soups and Rao's products. A really nice local treasure.

They have a basket near the entrance with produce that is older or scarred, etc. and very cheap. I was impressed with the number of organic and gluten free options in the dry goods aisles; you have to look carefully but if you have time to browse sometimes there is a great sale price. Some items are nearing or past their best buy dates, and they have a dedicated clearance rack for specific items, so it's just a matter or preference if you want to give it a try. Canned goods are always worth buying. In general, I like to stock up on snacks and pantry here!

Part of his sales pitch was that he would give me a discount and then he continued to charge me full price, NOT on a POS system... just typed a random number into the credit card machine, and charged me more then we agreed on. I brought it up to him and he got flustered and said he would do a diet plan for me and just to email me. He NEVER responded to me when I emailed... so not only will this place scam you but the products left me feeling sick. ..... forgot to add I asked if he had organic protein/product and he said " define organic" - that answer says it all. I was so suspicious when he said this but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and told him exactly what organic was even though a nutrition specialist should know this.... and he said "yeah we don't have anything organic." WHY WOULD YOU WASTE MY TIME AND HAVE ME EXPLAIN SOMETHING YOU KNOW YOU DONT HAVE IN STORE. I know why, he was testing to see how foolish the person he was talking to was. Needless to say we tried the products and they are a rip off and bad quality. If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars I would.
