The owners have a clear appreciation for local art and culture which is reflected throughout the space. There's a perfect blend of socializing in the common areas, yet quiet in the work area (imperative if you're as easily distracted as I am). Perks -- free coffee, chill but professional people, natural light, amazing views (especially at sunset), great central Downtown location, several conference room hours included with all monthly plans (and if there's no one renting it, they'll occasional let you use it for free -- ex: for a phone call/video conference). Definitely a good spot to get work done outside of the house. And at this price point, it's practically a steal.

I started with them and I have not been able to pick out a desk or use the office once. I started with them on June of 2019. The company charged me for several months and did not inform me I needed to pick a desk or I would need a key to use the facilities. I found out I needed that in July after I had already paid for June. I asked them to put my membership on hold until I could come in and pick a desk and get a key and they still charged me. They are all about money and not providing a great service experience or any experience at all. I talked with the owner about getting a key He said he would call me back but her never did. Check for a workspace elsewhere because they don't provide any real services and thy may not be a real company. I believe they are a shell company without any spaces available from my interactions with them. Either that or everything is already rented out and they can't provide me with a desk. I have rented and office before and I was informed of everything and I actually was able to use the office when I wanted. I now regret moving from where I was before and coming to this company so I could be closer to my home.

However, this venue happened to help me break that pattern. I came here for a few events, and every event I went to was pretty spectacular. I'll let the events speak for themselves, but this review will highlight some of the best that Session has to offer. As usual, I like to do my categorical summary of places, and this is how I rate it. ATMOSPHERE It's cozy. It's very home-like but transformed into a venue space. Very welcoming. There's an outdoor area with synthetic astro turf (go green friendly!), a pretty well soundproofed outdoor space, and the main room. (If decorated well) There's also a cool entrance that could have an "underground" feel to it, just depends on who's having the event. Also the backyard happens to feature an amazing garden of plants, with a neat park bench. Very relaxing indeed. The space is fully furnished, and furniture and other objects are all moveable. It almost feels like an open canvas (not too much decor, nothing overdone, but a space left for folks to build off of). Also, the space has WiFi and A/C. LOCATION Ample parking (also free), yet in a pretty main street area. Very safe enough to walk around. In case someone's looking for nearby eats, there's business around the main streets, notably around Stearns and Palo Verde. It's walkable within a 15 minute journey, otherwise a 2 minute drive. SERVICE Great service. Although various people have had other events in this space, the main guy who runs it, he's the man. Honest, helpful, and welcoming in every way. He'll help you find solutions before you even think of it. SUMMARY This is definitely a unique gem for a place like Long Beach. What I wanted in a workspace was ground floor, quiet neighborhood but near major thoroughfares, easy parking, close to restaurants, coffee. And I got it! At that time the supposed artist that was going to teach the class was there. And to our surprise this old man saw us and was asking for vaccines for Covid. This information wasn't on the website and my daughter was never informed of this. To us what it seemed like was that this white old man is a racist. Even the receptionist didn't know what to say. She was as surprise as we were. Hopefully you get rid off this "man" because in our community we already go through so much outside that we don't need a person inside a place where your supposed to feel safe to be who you are. I am very disappointed.

I've visited other coworking spaces, some of which either don't feel inviting or felt like more of a hangout spot as opposed to a place to get work done. This is not the case at Blankspaces. It's quiet and not distracting.. I can focus! This place has all the amenities of an effective office space so that you can focus on what's important-- running your business! Every client I've brought here has been impressed by how nice this place is. It's definitely a great place to bring prospects and to close a deal. There's a range of other businesses here, which provides a great opportunity for networking. The building is not too full right now, but I enjoy the close knit community and being able to see and recognize faces. Don't get me started on the food.. On the daily, you can expect breakfast pastries, specialty coffee, and La Croix on hand. Also, basically every day there is a cute treat going on, whether it be omelettes, beer/wine/cocktails, charcuterie, crafts, holiday related items, or healthy (and delicious) snacks. You can tell that the managers Mikey and Dani really go the extra mile to brighten up our day (and fill our stomachs) to make the workplace a little less monotonous. They are sweet-hearted people who really care about their members and guests. Whether you're used to working from home or have an office elsewhere, I recommend giving this place a visit. There are too many little great details to mention that just need to be experienced in person.
