My friend flew into town and we decided to go here for the first time. Valet parking is $40 but luckily for us we found parking on the first left once you pass the front of the establishment. We waited for about 30 minutes entrance feed is $20. Very nice inside the chandeliers and view is great. We walked to the bar and I got Two regular mixed one Hennessy and the other ciroc overpriced it totaled $31 for both drinks. We got a hookah and it cost $40 the hookah was great! I got a second drink and all I tasted was juice and I asked at the bar if she could please remake my drink cause I didn't like it and she told me she couldn't do that. Ok?. A friend decided she wanted to go here for her birthday...at 3pm on a Saturday and wanted to get there by 9pm. Last minute planning and u want me to rush!!! Since I didnt get in I can comment on the club, but can comment on the experience outside the club. Not really a clubber anymore, but if this is what folks consider having fun, then....leave me out....I've got more sophiscated tastes. Got here and there are several pay to park lots surrouding the club...the first one was $20.....the next one was $20....a several blocks away there was one for $10, but the guy looked like I'd have to find him and my car after leaving the club...and to valet my precious lil car would have been $40. So I run to the ATM, cause hey...I for sure need cash to park my car, and the ATM at Kroger on Howell Mill Road was "temporarily unable to dispense cash". Its one of those get in free for women before midnight clubs. SHEESH! Of course that line was 3 blocks long...and it was shortly after midnight, so I went and got in the pay your way in line. The guy that checked my purse said it was $20, but by the time I walked half a block to get to where I was suppose to pay it was $40 for women and $60 for men. You can still get in for $20 if you have an email they send out, but alas..my late planning friend hadnt informed me that for an email print out, I could have gotten in for the $20. So I tell the guy...hey my friend is inside....shes having a party....can u let me in for the $20.....nope....so I proceed to call my friend and she if she will bring me the $20 outside, so I can at least get in.....and swipe my card inside for drinks....she tells me...she doesnt have $20. WTF...u are at a club....on your birthday...and u aint got $20...well me either...so back to my car...which I was able to park almost two blocks away on Howell Mill Road for free. This past Saturday would mark my 2nd time going to Compound. Both times were alright. It's not the best, but it's surely not the worst! My friend from SC came down and wanted to go to the Lil Wayne after party here. I was apprehensive because i've been to another club hosting Lil Wayne before and the people at the door had lost their mind and decided to charge a $40-60 cover! So needless to say I really didn't want to go. Well we get there and I try to find parking but every single spot is trying to charge $20 and they weren't even valet!! Finally I found legitimate tow-free parking on a street further down from the club and I didn't pay a penny! All of the tickets were sold out online so the line wait was about 20-30 mins long. And to be honest that was just because they were holding the line. I called ahead of time to see how much i'd have to pay without a ticket and the lady told me $30. Fortunately when we got there around 12 we only had to pay $20. The first time i visited i was taking a friend who visited from NY in Nov and they only had the main room open. However this time it was really big and spacious. There is a medium size room, and then there is the main room. There is also PLENtY seating on the outside part with nice futon/couches and outside bars to serve you. My only thing is that the people who patron this club most likely do not live in Atlanta. Out of the 10 ppl I met only one lived in ATL. So this isn't really a spot where ATLiens party if that's what you're looking for. I could tell that from the first time that I went in november when nobody got crunk on "Aint Gon Let Up" by Yola Da Great like classic ATL clubs usually do. read more

I am not even sure if Compound is even open anymore (shows how much I am on the club scene nowadays), but anyways, while Compound was big, had multiple rooms, and good bartenders...there always seemed to be just a little too much going on in this piece. Even when they had concerts here for promotional purposes, the event was so extra that I never quite had a "Reaaaaallly" good time. Along with that it was expensive if you got in after the cut off time, and it was kinda young some nights...my days of partying with 21-23 year olds are over...lol. Here's what annoys me about the compound: 1) Before midnight, it appears to be a chick fest, but I guess that could be because ladies are free until midnight (on saturdays at least)...but still it's kind of annoying when you get to a club and you're totally surrounded by oher gorgeous, scantily clad ladies. I'm not hating but...let's just say that for men, it'd be liking shooting fish in a barrel. Oh and 2) wtf is going on with the music? If you've never gone to compund before, know that it's an indoor/outdoor club. I believe a couple of the different rooms are supposed to have different playlists, but me and my friends became increasingly annoyed a hearing the same songs 3,4, sometimes 5 times when we migrated to one of the different areas. 3) Smoking is allowed...I hate the smell of ciggies on my clothes, skin, hair...just yuck. Whoo! that said, here's what I do like: 1) sexy atmosphere and indoor/outdoor setting (despite the music, I do like being able to experience different areas of the club and I suppose it's unique in that aspect); 2) plenty of seating, which is good because wearing 5" heels....hurts 3) the music really DOES get better into the night. He said, "this just in I heard that the dark skin girls look better than the light skin girls" y'all I can't. This club was cool. I went with my girlfriends on a Saturday night this month, January. It was a really cool set up actually. I saw the outside setups, which looked VERY nice; however, it was cold obviously so no one was out there but I'm sure it's great in the summer! There was mainly hip hop/ rap music. The first time we went a few years ago was for NYE. We had a blast! I loved the layout of Compound. It's clean with plenty of room and several places to sit when your feet are aching from your heels! It was fun and full of energy. So, about this past weekend: I still love the layout. It's still clean and all that jazz, but I didn't appreciate the flashing BRIGHT white lights on the dance floor, nor did I enjoy the strong stench of a certain herbal "medication". I also didn't like that we got there at 11pm and didn't get in until 1AM. For some reason, they held the line (they would let a couple of people in every 10-15 minutes after midnight. Before midnight, it was a couple of people every 20-30min.). And no, the club was not even close to capacity. Anyway, I would give this place another chance. I loved it the first time. First time here as an out-of-towner. I must say it was an alright experience AFTER I had enough drinks to squelch the sweltering humidity and hot temp of Atlanta as I danced outside.. There weren't many people inside which is where the AC was so I should have been too...but anyhoo it wasn't the most spectacular night of my life but it was an alright time. One of the advantages of Atlanta's sprawling infrastructure is the ability to put together a club the size of Compound. Pulling off such an over-sized club in most other cities would be cost prohibitive due to real estate costs, or else be forced so far out into the 'hood that you'd be afraid to go there. A night at Compound won't be cheap, but it's cheap in comparison to similar scenes in other major cities. You're paying for the atmosphere more than anything else. It's young, crowded, and definitely about being seen as well as having a good time. Parking in the pay lots closest to the club will add another ten to twelve bucks to your evening. That being said, if the immediate streets around the club are full you're better off sucking it up and paying than parking too far away. The neighborhood has definitely improved a lot over the last five years, but it's still got its rough edges to deal with now and then. read more

This was the first nightclub I've ever been to in Atlanta. I went with a couple friends on a Friday night and had a pretty good time. We ended up getting in for free and quickly entered through the "VIP" line. The club itself was set up really nice as it featured a cool lounge-type area covered by tents that included lots of places to sit and a couple bars. I imagine on a night when celebrities are there those places are off limits. Once past the outside lounge part, we made our way into the main room of the club that was jam packed wall to wall and it was only about 11 p.m. The music was bumpin though and after the first drink being completely swarmed by other dancers didn't seem to bother me. The drinks were kinda pricey at $10 but the bartender hooked us up with some really strong drinks. One drink tasted like two drinks, so it was all good. Overall, it was an OK club with a predominantly college-aged crowd. There were definitely some good looking people there, but I wouldn't go every weekend. Maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I guess I'm more of a lounge chick now who likes to chill, sip a martini and listen to some music and hold a conversation. read more

Terrible Terrible leaving people in line for hours at a time while you allow the "SKIP LINE" to pay 40.00 and enter the club. If the club opens at 10:30, why isn't it open to everyone. We had bottle service here first time coming is was very dirty and they DONT give you water with your bottle service you HAVE to pay for bottled water if you want any iv gotten bottle service in different states and countries and have never had to pay for water. The space they have for vip/bottle service is for everyone to sit its not Sectioned off. Compound is pretty fun. There can be a long wait to get in, but I think you can get on a list or something from their website. It typically costs between $10 and $20. We went on some special nite when it was $20, and it really sucked because it was so crowded. But on a normal night, it can be a good scene. Mostly we get our dance on in "Ride" (see website). The Tenshi gardens are cool to mingle in. Drinks aren't cheap...like $12 for a Long Island, but I guess it's strong. Now for all the people that are complaining about the prices..go party in any other major city and see what you will pay. Like everyone in this post has said, Compound is huge. Both an indoor and outdoor club that has a night for every type of audience possible. Everyone can have a good time here depending on what day you are going. AG took his connections and hype from selling 'Vision' and brought it to Compound so you will definately see the same Mega Events that were on Peachtree in the back of the new artsy district. The only thing, if you see someone you like, don't punk out and not say anything because 9 times out of 10 you will never see them again. P.S. If you can get in contact with the right people or buy enough tables in VIP they will give you a VIP card that admits 3 at any time with no waiting in line read more

This has to be one of the best club designs in Atlanta; especially now that Vision has been obliterated (I wasn't too fond of that redesign anyway). I like the blend of indoor outdoor. This place is also huge! My first time there I remember thinking, "How many rooms are there in this place?" But now I know my way around. The warehouse district in the area makes this an odd location for a club to some, but it's not so unbelievable to me. The drinks are good and usually they set up enough bars for the wait factor to be within the threshold of most impatient partiers. Be careful where you park because you might set yourself up for one of two things if you leave your wheels in a sketchy area. 1. Towed or booted 2. Broken window Just make sure that you park in a real lot. This venue is good for celebrity sightings. like Compound a lot because it offers a lot of options. In the back is a large dance floor with two bars and it is quite dark. In the middle is a much smaller dance room with a couple more bars and much lighter. Between the back and the middle dance floors there is an outdoor area with a bar and some standing and sitting space. In the front is an outdoor area with tables, chairs, a pond, and more bars of course. If you want to dance you can dance, if you want to sit around and hang out you can do that too. If you want to do both this is a good place to do it as the outside is isolated from the loud music better than many of the other clubs and much larger. The only downside is the smoking which I never like being around. There are multiple bathrooms but there can be lines. There is usually a guy in the men's bathroom who wants to help you wash your hands for a tip which always annoys me. I think I can manage to take care of myself. It did close down recently, I heard they were going to renovate it and reopen in a few months, but you never know. It was free before 11:00 or 11:30 Fridays and Saturdays if you were on the email guest list. The best part was it was about a mile from where I live. read more

I've been to Compound just once.. i liked it, but it was the q100 bitter ball party, so i don't know if the "standard night" is cool as well.. but the club is very big and nice, especially during the spring/summer (so you can just stay in the outdoor area). There are different rooms, with different types of music. I've just read on the internet site that is closed now, but it's going to open again this coming spring.. and i will visit it for sure! I just want to complaint about the bathrooms.. Too small!! I went twice, and i waited 15 minutes in the line each time! Too much! read more

Compound was a good place to go on a Saturday night. We arrived for the "Free admission by 11:30 on eventbrite, however the line was pretty long so we had to pay. The cover was $20 for regular entry and $40 for VIP. The atmosphere was really nice. There was limited seating available if you weren't in a section. The bartenders were nice and the drinks were strong. The DJ played a nice mix of old and new music. So... where do I start with this club??? I like the layout... it's beautiful, spacious and able to accommodate large crowds. But, I must say, it's a scam to even party at this club!!! First off, it was my husband's birthday... his big 40. he makes great money so we wanted to splurge for once and do something a little unorthodox. So we decided to book a section for the Migos Album release party. Well, needless to say, what a mistake, what a rip off, what a joke, and how bogus this club is when robbing its customers right in their faces! We booked the section, a 10 people vip entry plus 10 arm bands and I believe 3 bottles of some bullshit bottles like avion. Ok so, we arrive and they place us in a vip section AWAY from the main area where the artists would be and would perform. Welp, before we could get settled, we were too unimportant or appeared to not have enough money I guess so then another person from management comes and moves us to a vip section that even FURTHER AWAY and was outside!!! So now we are ALIENATED from the main room where the group would be and perform! We literally had to walk into another part of the damn club to see the Migos! We literally took the club's outside heaters that we PAID the bouncers even more money to bring away from other peoples sections and place into ours! And it was still cold! I had on a floor length mink coat and was STILL freezing! Mind you, we spent $1200 for a section. And was basically standing outside in 20 degree weather and I feel we didn't get a damn thing we deserved for that $1200!!! I will NEVER go to this place again unless it's a day party and it's free to enter. Otherwise Compound is another DISGRACE as a night club in our great party city. As I told your supposed competitors #mansionelan that it's a travesty for all you clubs to run the patrons out of your nightclubs and STRAIGHT to the strip clubs. We should've had a good time at your club for this type of money!!! This is sadly ridiculous and you won't get repeat patrons who have sense about how to spend their money and who know how patrons should be treated!! Your club is only good for 18-21 year old wanna be hustlers and celebrities living in Atlanta or the ones stopping through to visit. My advice to those who claim to own this club, limit your crowdbase from now on and please exclude the hard working "average atlien" patrons! Flew in out of town with my gf and wanted to bring in my birthday at a nice club with a hip hop atmosphere. My gf got the tickets off of Eventbrite to get in free... DO NOT GET TICKETS OFF EVENTBRITE. The club was suppose to open at 10 but we ended up waiting till 11 to get in and we were FIRST in line. My gf keeps Tylenol pills in her purse for her headaches and they made her throw them in a box and said she can grab them when we leave. And back to the Eventbrite tickets. They said that the tickets my gf had on her phone that were supposed to get us in for free weren't real so we had to pay to get in, $30 each btw. It's not even my birthday yet and I'm ready to go back. This reminded me of why I don't go to clubs in the first place. And we paid $40 for to park. I kicked it at this joint the other night with some friends was impressed with the outdoor layout and bar setup outside. DJ plays the trendy music that's out at the moment...just like any other club/lounge it doesn't start to get crowded until 1am or so. Cover charge was $30 due to Young Dolph being in the building but really he didn't do anything just stood there with security and bobbed his head was on stage for about an hour or less. Fun atmosphere, had a great time, drinks range from $5 to $12 depending what you want to drink. Wish they had more of a hookah selection. Went on a first Friday (high traffic for the LGBTQ community). GREAT EXPERIENCE! Love the sections and the bartenders. It was my first time and I will definitely return. Great size club! Security is really rude though! But other than that, it's great! When you come in, there is a open pavilion with seating areas that leads to the indoor club. Came here on a Saturday night. I arrived around 12 and several people were standing around. There were two lines upon my arrival, the $20 line and the $40 line. Being the cheap person I am, I gladly jumped on the $20 line. I was on line for about 5 minutes. After being checked 3 different times and feeling violated during the frisk by the female security guard, I paid my way and entered Compound. Compound is very spacious with a lot of seating. I did not venture off too far from the entrance because the further in I went the hotter it became. I took a star off because there were several people there in regular clothing as if they went to McDonald's and then decided to party. I got to visit the infamous "Compound" on New Year's day. It was crazy crowded. I was with my boyfriend and guy friend visiting from NC. We did not arrive until 11:30pm and the parking was a beast. After paying 20$ to park and walking thru gravel in heels, I was annoyed to say the least. This place was advertised as free all nite but when we saw the line we considered wasting our 20$ and turning back. It literally looked like the wrap around lines at six flags! The cut line was 20$ and was epic long but moved swiftly. Sadly, we gave in. After being groped by security, I remember thinking, damn she could at least bought me dinner. Once past the circus outside, we found a gorgeous, swanky club. The club is both indoors and outdoors. The outdoors has lounge like seats, pretty lights in a courtyard style. There are bathrooms outside that are unisex! WTF, this was beyond awkward when I looked up to see a guy beside me washing his hands and hitting on a chick at the same time. The inside was divided into about 3 areas. Each area was more musty and crowded than the next. The main area housed the largest VIP booths with my other man Cam Newton in attendance:) My guy friend was in disbelief of all the big booty, beautiful women. I told him to close his mouth. I do admit this place is a man's dream crawling with pretty girls EVERYWHERE! I am sure this place can't alwayz be that packed as that night. Im glad i ignored the negative reviews about this place and took a shot at it.. I am from DC and was in town just to have fun for the weekend for a friends bday that is ALSO FROM DC... WE LOVED THE CLUB...THE layout WAS very different and sexy (inside and out) and it was HUGE! No matter what part of the club ur in..it was extremely live and CRAWLING with ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE.. I had tons of fun.. surrounded by beautiful black people.. all having a great time. i LOVED IT read more
