Tommy cut my hair for decades. I miss his humanity. We traded ethnic jokes. Now that he is gone, I tried Felice, who did an atrocious job, such that my hair is essentially uncombable without using something to plaster it down. Worse, without asking me, he cut off half of my rather bushy eyebrows, which changed my appearance. I do not know what his motivation was, perhaps passive aggressive behavior paying me back for staying with Tommy over many years. I have been looking for a local place to get my hair cut and have settled on Compo Barber Shop. If you need a basic haircut this is a perfectly good place to go. All of the barbers working here are good. Since there are a number of barbers working here, if you are not picky about who cuts your hair, you can generally get an appointment on a day and time you will find convenient. They charge $28 as of the date of this review. While I know of other places in the region that are less expensive, Compo Barbers is nevertheless going to be far less expensive than the many "hair salons" in the Westport area. read more

They don't understand basic asks and the place smells like cigarette smoke. IDK how they are still approved as barber. On top of that, they don't listen to you when you say stop or stop that and move over to doing this. Stevie Wonder could do a better job. read more
