Since I have gone to Fairfield Barber Shop for the last year, I am pretty certain that I have found my barber for a long time. Fairfield Barber Shop is the total package. They mix a great, welcoming atmosphere with high quality expert cuts at a good price for the area (20 bucks, which is extremely good for the area). Best of all, they take appointments so you don't have to spend hours of your day waiting in line for a haircut especially on weekends. If you are in limbo between shops or looking to just change it up with something new, I highly recommend Fairfield Barber Shop for all your hair related needs.

Two years ago I was desperate for a new stylist and was so happy to find Terryann. She was originally at Salon V. I wasn't fond of the atmosphere but she was an amazing stylist. I've been through chemo, hair loss, anxiety and Terryann made me feel good, confident, and "pretty". She taught me about my hair type, offered suggestions and WHY she had reservations or positives, she never talked me into anything, completely discussed her thoughts before cutting and I've never been happier - every time I leave her chair! You should read her reviews if still posted at Salon V. She's 5 star amazing! Trust me, it gets better, she's now working at Ryan John a stunning, sunny, feel good salon right on the Post Road in Fairfield and 5 minutes from my office! Their hours are so accommodating. Thank you Terryann and Ryan John Salon, I'm so glad Terryann led me to you! What a difference!

It really is true that you get what you pay for, but in this case I got a lot more! Marlisa was professional, courteous, and meant to cut hair. It's evident that her prior work as a carpenter has prepared her to be an artistic barber who gives high-quality haircuts. I feel like I FINALLY found my barber. As far as the cut goes, it's exactly what I wanted. My hair is somewhat difficult to cut because it's thick and long on top but I have a fade on the sides. Finding a barber who specializes in clippers as well as scissors is a lot more challenging than you might think. But Marlisa is an expert in both and it really showed in my haircut. The experience was also a premium one. I was offered a beverage as soon as I walked in, my coat and hat were taken to be hung in a coat closet, and I was walked over to the barber chair. The shop itself is really clean and modern with good music playing, and a tv. Marlisa offered a hot towel shave with a straight razor and cleaned me up with a hot towel at the end. I cannot recommend Westport Cut and Shave enough and especially Marlisa!! Check out their Instagram for more pics: https://instagram.com/westportcutshave?igshid=a5pm5bv9s44s

However we're from NYC and the 2 hr. drive is daunting. So on my quest for a new barber, I found VIP and I will tell you, it is a true VIP experience. * Booking: I booked on the acuity scheduling site, it was quick and straightforward. After my appointment I learned there is an app where you can book and earn rewards. I received my first stamp at my first visit *Location: The shop is in a tiny strip mall with ample parking and other neighboring small business **The Feel*: Upscale and Welcoming...The shop is well put together, the owner thought through every stage of the customer experience and if you are someone who values quality and experience you will appreciate this shop. I cannot say enough for the feel in this one post. There were positive vibes all around, engaging conversation...one of the barbers even recommended a local pizza shop that just opened in downtown bpt. *The Cut: Of course, every barber is different however, I have confidence that whoever's chair you're in you will leave satisfied. I asked for a tape up and small design with Victor and I am satisfied. To note, all the barbers seem to be skilled; they will ask what you're looking for and even details. I heard one barber ask a guy if he wanted a round or square back, Vic asked me if I wanted pointed side burns. He even helped me choose design ideas. Good to Note: *Cash Only (nearby laundry has an ATM) *DL the app in the app store (VIP Barbershop LLC) *Choose any Barber (they all seem skilled) *Walk-Ins Welcome I appreciate small businesses that foster quality in the communities they serve and love to see them grow. Thanks VIP for the awesome experience!
