I went to Complete Runner for the 1st time yesterday. I needed a shoe to transition from a walking boot from a Jones Fracture. Ian took care of me. Scanned my feet and listened to what I needed. He brought me 4 pair of shoes to try. Took time with me explaining each shoe. I couldn't believe the service I received. Both Ian and his co-worker were amazing. Flint Complete Runner store would not order Saucony Ride shoe. Sales rep says that Saucony is discontinuing the shoe and it would not be worth ordering. I contacted Saucony directly. Ride is not being discontinued and a Ride 18 should be out sometime in January 2026. read more

I was looking nationwide to find a past season oncloud sneaker. One came up available at Complete Runner. But I live in Brooklyn, NY, so I was a little concerned placing an order with a store that I knew nothing about. I wanted to confirm the color and size with a person, so I called and Antonio was so knowledgeable and helpful in completing the order manually. I happened upon this specialty shoe store by chance, as I am not from the area. This is the third such store that I have purchased shoes from, and I have to say that the service was the best of the three. The young man I dealt with was extremely professional and knowledgeable, yet not intimidating or cocky. He asked me to walk in front of him and explained that this would help him determine what shoe(s) would work best for me. And when we had narrowed it down to two choices, he advised that the best way to compare is to put one shoe of each pair on, and walk. In doing that, I had my answer immediately. Only shop here if you don't ever have problems with your shoes working for you. You only have five days to return your shoes and they don't seem to budge from that policy even if you barely used the shoes (although we didn't get as far as her actually asking how much I'd used them). So, if you're like a typical person that may buy a pair of athletic shoes and maybe not even put them on again for 5 or more days, you're probably better off NEVER shopping at this store. Go somewhere where they have a reasonable return policy. Despite their reasoning that they have this policy because they are a local business, I bet you get more than five days at Bauman's, which is apparently where I should have gone in the first place. Now I'm stuck with $95 shoes that hurt my feet. read more

I've been running in the crim for a few years, decided this spring to get serious and move on to triathlons, knowing I'd be running on tired legs I wanted some nice shoes to hopefully help me along. I'll start by saying that as soon as I walked in the door I knew I was in good hands. After trying on multiple pairs of shoes I settled on a pair of Brooks. I've never been so confident in my running and I've really started to add miles to my routine. I can't imagine buying my running shoes anywhere else. I am not a runner. I do not look like a runner, walk like a runner or talk like a runner. You might get me to run a 1K race if began and ended at the Ghiradelli factory gift shop and the entry fee entitled you to a minimum 30% discount on all purchases. But the bride runs, as does the boy, and when I said I was looking to get a pair of running shoes to give it a try, the bride recommended The Complete Runner. I guess if you are serious about running, this is mecca and they have a variety of clothing and fitness gear even if running isn't your thing. But if it is, these folks seem to know their stuff. A simple shoe purchase involved a gait analysis, traditional foot measurememts and a thermal impression device which allowed them to see my arch and weight distribution. The guy who took care of me, Joyraj (sorry if I got that wrong), was patient, non-judgemental, did a great job of asking about specific pain points when I walk or exercise and eventually had me try on 4 pairs of shoes before I settled on my new Hoka's. I can see why the Bride likes this place; they definitely speak her language. And who knows, with some help from the folks here, I may soon do so as well! read more

I agree with Jessica K. I tried to return a pair of gloves, unopened in the original package, with a receipt, and the female owner refused to take them back because I was "over the time limit" by two days. I'd understand if they were used, or the purchase was six months prior, but they were brand new and the return was less than two weeks. This was after I picked out a pair of shoes (with the owner as my salesperson) despite her high pressure sales and her refusal to let me browse the store on my own. I've been there in the past and it was nowhere near that bad, but it seems like lately they value making a sale at any cost far more than customer service and customer satisfaction. read more
