Countywide also said they would put in a smart thermostat for us. We originally had one thermostat, Countywide removed this thermostat and attempted to put in a smart thermostat. Countywide was unable to get the smart thermostat to work with our AC and heater (boiler). Countywide's attempted solution was 2 thermostats, a smart thermostat for the AC and a regular (dumb) thermostat for the heater, this would have been okay, but they couldn't get this to work either. Counywide visited our house 8 times to try get the thermostat working and they still were unable to do so. Countywide should have simply said they were unable to put in a smart thermostat and put in one regular thermostat - that would have been a fine solution. Sadly, they left me with no working thermostat for the AC - and they tried to charge me for their time on their last visit - which still left me with a non-working thermostat. I tried for several weeks to speak with Dave, the owner at Countywide, but he never took or returned my calls. I called another contractor who was able to get the AC and heater working through the smart thermostat in 2 hours. In summary, I paid $4700 for a new ac and Countywide didn't leave me with a way to turn it on. If customer service is Countywide's #1 focus, wow!

This has been true for several years of maintenance on my cheap, builders' grade system. It lasted 13 years and never was very reliable. Your HVAC system is like your car-- you need it, you don't really know how it all works, so you need to be able to trust what the service guy says you need to do. They never once complained about my cheap system, they replaced only what they needed to to keep it all working. They never pushed a sales pitch on me. They scheduled quickly and at my convenience, their charges were reasonable, their technicians knowledgeable and down to earth. (Thanks, Bryce!) So recently when things suddenly started to deteriorate rapidly, I brought up replacing everything. They talked to me reasonably on the spot and provided an immediate written estimate. At the time I didn't know how their estimate compared, but I got two other estimates and... I couldn't believe the discrepancy. This was not apples and oranges, this was comparable equipment. My conclusion was that you really are paying for the "big city" companies' advertising, brochures, and uniformed "comfort specialists." And I thought, "Why do that?" when I already liked and trusted this company. So I had them install a modest but adequate system (it's Ruud components compared to my former Goodman ones, which is quite a decent upgrade.) It took one work day. My better half, who is a physician and not easily impressed, texted me when I was at work, "These guys are nice, but also total pros." (Thanks again, Bryce and Chris!) That pretty much sums up the whole company: nice, total pros. I heartily recommend them.

His bid says he is licensed. Not sure that's true. I am having a problem now with water leaking on the floor from an overflow from the heater. Sam talked to us July 3, 2025, we showed him pictures of the issue. Said he would be out asap to check situation. He blew us off. I'm sure because he knew he put it over the drain and blocked it. End of July 2025 and, after calling , texting, my husband calling, texting , I had to call a different company to come out and found out that Sam from Liberty Heating and Air moved the water heater to a different spot and over the drain so now I have to have it moved because water is flooding the basement and we have to put overflow hose in a bucket. This is going to cost$$$ Avoid Sam and Liberty Heating and Air Ridgetop address. He isn't a reputable service. Sam if you see this review and are honorable and properly take care of the problem you caused we will alter the review to reflect your ethics in correcting your mistake. Otherwise.......the value for your service is minus several hundreds of dollars and your name is mud. Shame on you. Well ,Sam is a good guy after all I said. He called me back, went to the property resolved the issue which turned out not to be a mistake he made but rather our tenant moving the overflow drain out of the drain. The other company said the water heater needed to be moved. Sam showed me proof he hadn't moved the location of the water heater from its original spot that it sat on for over 20 years. The other company could have put the drain hose back in the drain but chose not to. Another story. We are happy satisfied customers! I'd recommend Sam he is honorable. A happy ending.....
