OUTSTANDING.........AUTO TECH IN HUNTLEY! I started my…read morerelationship with Auto Tech 6 years ago when I needed new tires for my 2014 Toyota Avalon. Arlyn recommended tires that were much better than the tires when I purchased for the car new. Monday morning (yesterday), I was at the Sun City, Prairie Lodge. Upon leaving, an elderly man was attempting to turn into my area. I pulled forward to give him more room and accidentally ran over the curb. FLAT TIRE. Auto Tech had Premium Tires with the lowest prices in Huntley. I called my roadside service. One hour and 32 minutes later, Lightning Road Service showed up. Put my spare on and off to Auto Tech in Huntley. In my time sitting there, I called Arlyn at Auto Tech, they didn't make my tires any longer but he would find some tires comparable. Arlyn looked at all my tires. The left front was a goner, the right front had a gash in it, and the right rear, I have been having problems with it. Needed 4 new tires. I just got coupons last week for Auto Tech, which Arlyn applied. Also got an oil change that was needed and had the tires balanced. And a front wheel alignment. Auto Tech, Arlyn, and his employees are honest and trustworthy. Then I told them I was 5 hours away and wanted to talk price AND have the salesperson walk around the car because the pictures looked less than great. It looked like the car had not been detailed. Then they started calling me every day, and each time was a different person. One guy told me he could not get anyone to look at the car and call me. I called back one last time and the lady who answered (again it sounded like a boiler room) kept saying "you need to stop by", and after telling her 3 times I was 5 hours away, he acted like I never said it. Then I started reading Yelp reviews. This is an old school super high pressure dealership. Sounds like the add a ton of pricing onto the sticker for a used car. Now I understand why the car was priced so aggressively....they were likely to add on once I got there. This is NOT a good place to buy a car. Their rating everywhere are bad.

Hey neighbors, I…read morewanted to share a recent experience with a Huntley business so others can make an informed choice. My husband's car was having trouble starting, so we took it to Coyote Auto Repair on Allison Ct. We've used them several times over the years, so this wasn't a random pick. Today, we were told the total was nearly $400 for a new battery. My husband doesn't recall authorizing that work when they called earlier to say the battery was bad. When I called to ask for a cost breakdown and to understand how the miscommunication happened, the person I spoke with became argumentative and rude. After accusing me of calling him a liar, he told me to come get the car and said we'd now have to pay in cash, claiming he didn't want to risk a chargeback or canceled check. I hadn't done or said anything to justify either accusation. I won't get into every detail of that phone call, but my main concern is this: as customers, we should feel comfortable asking questions, clearly understanding what we're authorizing, and trusting that the conversation will remain respectful. Unfortunately, this experience was none of those things. I hope this helps others make an informed decision if you're looking for a local mechanic.

If I could give this Belle Tire location zero stars, I would. Absolutely pathetic customer service…read moreand management. I made a 12:00 PM appointment specifically for an alignment. The GM, Bob, personally checked me in, so there should have been absolutely no confusion that I had an appointment and was waiting for my vehicle. I then sat there for TWO HOURS, watching customers who arrived after me get serviced while nobody bothered to give me a single update. Bob, the GM who checked me in, never once came over to explain what was happening or why my car hadn't been serviced. Eventually, I had to go ask for a status myself. Another technician--not Bob--finally looked into it and told me I had somehow been marked as a "drop-off." How does the GM personally check in a waiting customer with a scheduled appointment and then have that customer entered as a drop-off? After wasting two hours of my day, they finally told me they couldn't perform the alignment because of wear on one tire. It took TWO HOURS to determine that? If the tire prevented the alignment, someone should have inspected it shortly after my noon appointment and told me immediately. The most unacceptable part is the complete lack of communication and accountability from the GM. Based on my experience, Bob's handling of this was completely incompetent. A general manager should be making sure customers are taken care of, not checking them in and then apparently forgetting they exist while people who arrived later are serviced. Belle Tire management should seriously evaluate whether Bob should be running this location because service like this does nothing but hurt the business and drive customers away. They certainly lost my business. Unprofessional. Disorganized. Incompetent management. Two hours completely wasted. I would NEVER recommend this location.
