After 20 years I'm calling it quits. Not only does this bank have the worst rates for money…read moremarkets, savings and CDs, they have consistently giving me lower credit than my other banks, and a harder time getting that credit. They screwed up incredibly bad by locking me out of my account while I was in Europe, I just couldn't believe it and they couldn't solve it for the 3 weeks that I was there. I also waited for years for the app to finally be decent enough to use. The CEO makes well over a million dollars a year for this small credit union, they are the most picky and least helpful banking establishment I can remember in my lifetime. They seem to have no recognition of long-time members , I always feel like I've just walked enough the street I would like to stay local, but I'll have to find a different local credit union. And just a final picky point: who in the world designed and then okay the design for the parking lot at the new branch in eureka? It is so staggeringly bad, one literally has to stagger over rocks and curbs the entrance of the bank.

FIX THE ATM!! OR GET A SECOND ONE!!!!…read more It is rarely ever working. I have an older phone so I am unable to use the Chase app anymore so I rely on the ATM to be able to deposit my checks on evenings and weekends. So it is EXTREMELY frustrating to go and find that, once again, the ATM isn't accepting deposits. So I have to keep going back, hoping it is fixed or not be able to pay bills on time! Or I go to withdraw money on the weekend, only to find out that the ATM is again not working, so I have to go to another bank to get money and be forced to pay their outrageous fees!! With my bill's late fees and other bank's atm fees, I am actually LOSING MONEY from this bank because their only ATM is so unreliable!!!!

Today I stood in a long line while there were many staff around keeping busy but I am sure that…read moreopening another teller wouldn't have hurt them. There was only one lady, bless her poor soul. Or should I say content soul since she works at the bank hehe I gave this bank one star for the friendly service such as an employee going around to ask if there was any way someone could use one of the two ATMs located inside. I did notice she did not go around person to person starting from the first person in line but instead started in the middle of the line. Why did she do that? A lady in line was going to deposit a check but for some reason she was told she could not do it on the ATMs ?_? Another star was given for the tranquil environment they provided while we waited. Chase has wonderful large windows. I was practicing my patience while I waited to be helped. Thankfully I had no where else to go but imagine those who were in a hurry. Damn! I arrived at the bank for some quarters at 1:16 and left at 1:40pm, phew! I gave this bank another star for being opened compared to the Arcata,CA location while reinforcing social distancing and providing antibacterial gel. Overall I have never had a negative employee experience at the Chase but I think they can improve in some areas too. Such as making more teller stations only three exist and one or two are usually open, having the ATMs provide rolls of quarters, parking space is a bit tight and narrow & having less lights on!

After the investigation they said I did not lose what I said I did. They took $86 out of the $300 I lost. So they stole from me. I closed my account. It did have a zero balance. When I took all my money out. This bank is unbelievable. In the 22 years I had my account with them the only overdraft fee I ever had was this one. They won't let me close my account and they stole from me the $86 and then the $45 overdraft fee. This reminds me of when wells fargo got fined for stealing from their customers.

Today he sent me in with his ID, a deposit slip, and an endorsed $50 from the federal government to deposit into his account. I was told by the 20 something girls in there refused to accept the check without scanning my personal id and creating a "non member account" with my social security number. I told them no, reiterated that dad was in a wheelchair in the car with a broken leg, and that I wasn't withdrawing anything, simply making a deposit on his behalf. They said it was "all banks' policy" and "we can't just have someone working on someone's account without knowing their information" as if a $50 deposit with a check that was signed by the US treasury department was an act of money laundering. I asked for a manager and they were extremely rude to me and said "she's helping actual customers. you can throw the check in the night deposit box" Then, in an incredibly rude tone one of them said "sorry we can't help you" in a sarcastic tone and I said "No you're not, but I'm sorry your job has rules that are this stupid." I then went to US BANK where my dad also has an account. I deposited the check there without issue. They stated that it was the weirdest thing they ever heard and that they know of no such policy at other banks. So, i wholeheartedly recommend you bank ELSEWHERE because the the wet behind the ears See You Next Tuesdays who work at this branch would rather haul a man with a broken leg inside than provide a modicum of courtesy or customer service.
