Or should I say content soul since she works at the bank hehe I gave this bank one star for the friendly service such as an employee going around to ask if there was any way someone could use one of the two ATMs located inside. I did notice she did not go around person to person starting from the first person in line but instead started in the middle of the line. Why did she do that? A lady in line was going to deposit a check but for some reason she was told she could not do it on the ATMs ?_? Another star was given for the tranquil environment they provided while we waited. Chase has wonderful large windows. I was practicing my patience while I waited to be helped. Thankfully I had no where else to go but imagine those who were in a hurry. Damn! I arrived at the bank for some quarters at 1:16 and left at 1:40pm, phew! I gave this bank another star for being opened compared to the Arcata,CA location while reinforcing social distancing and providing antibacterial gel. Overall I have never had a negative employee experience at the Chase but I think they can improve in some areas too. Such as making more teller stations only three exist and one or two are usually open, having the ATMs provide rolls of quarters, parking space is a bit tight and narrow & having less lights on!

I have an older phone so I am unable to use the Chase app anymore so I rely on the ATM to be able to deposit my checks on evenings and weekends. So it is EXTREMELY frustrating to go and find that, once again, the ATM isn't accepting deposits. So I have to keep going back, hoping it is fixed or not be able to pay bills on time! Or I go to withdraw money on the weekend, only to find out that the ATM is again not working, so I have to go to another bank to get money and be forced to pay their outrageous fees!! With my bill's late fees and other bank's atm fees, I am actually LOSING MONEY from this bank because their only ATM is so unreliable!!!!

After 20 years I'm calling it quits. They screwed up incredibly bad by locking me out of my account while I was in Europe, I just couldn't believe it and they couldn't solve it for the 3 weeks that I was there. I also waited for years for the app to finally be decent enough to use. The CEO makes well over a million dollars a year for this small credit union, they are the most picky and least helpful banking establishment I can remember in my lifetime. They seem to have no recognition of long-time members , I always feel like I've just walked enough the street I would like to stay local, but I'll have to find a different local credit union. And just a final picky point: who in the world designed and then okay the design for the parking lot at the new branch in eureka? I tried several banks but finally decided to come back to Coast Central. Their computer systems are great and easy to use. The bill pay takes a bit of getting used to and once I asked questions, it has been great. I pay bills with it each month (although I don't use the autopays) and I also transfer money to my landlord's account. It is an easy process. I had a car loan with them and never had a bit of trouble. I use both the ATMs and the drive up tellers. I'm not wild about the wait inside for the services people. There is sometimes a wait. But once someone is taking care of my stuff, they do not try to hurry me up and get me out of there. I'll wait a bit if I know I won't be rushed. I like the credit union. Interest rates are good. The service staff is friendly and call you back when they say they will. And they don't seem to have a great many fees like Wells Fargo does. They don't try to sell you services. I'd recommend the bank to any of my friends.
