In regards to my recent experience with the repairs performed on my truck. I chose this shop in good faith, despite my insurance company's recommendations, because of the reputation and the positive reviews I had read. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. From the beginning, I have had to return my truck multiple times because the work was not completed with the level of care and attention I expected. After my initial repairs, I chose to bring my truck back for scratches that I chose to have fixed on my own accord. While I was there, I asked about having my decals installed. I was assured the shop would take care of them, but they were installed incorrectly. I then had to purchase an entirely new set of decals at my own expense which I had no issue doing providing they'd be done correctly again in good faith, postpone my appointment for my aftermarket parts, and rearrange my schedule to return yet again so the paint marks and decal issues could be corrected. What concerns me most is the repeated lack of care shown toward my vehicle. These were not isolated mistakes--they reflect a pattern of carelessness and disregard for both the quality of the work being performed and the time and money I have invested. Having to return my truck twice to correct preventable issues has been frustrating and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I made one very specific request: please do not wash my truck, as it had recently been professionally tinted. This request was clearly communicated and should have been simple to honor. Instead, it was completely disregarded, and my truck was washed anyway. As a result, I now have to pay to have my window tint redone--an expense and inconvenience that exists solely because my instructions were ignored. At every step, I have been the one inconvenienced. I have had to take additional time out of my schedule, make multiple trips back to the shop, delay other appointments for my truck, purchase replacement decals, and now pay to have my tint redone--all because of preventable mistakes and a lack of attention to detail. I trusted this shop with my vehicle based on its reputation, but instead I have experienced repeated examples of poor workmanship, disregard for my explicit instructions, and unnecessary inconvenience. I was involved in an accident where my car was hit from behind. I went through the guy who hit me insurance where they best directed me to this place. All the damage consisted of was some paint tranfer on a small part of my bumper and I was told my car would be there for about 5 days and where all they had to do was take off my bumper, and paint the DAMAGED SPOT ONLY. I got a call back two days later saying, "things worked out perfect and car is ready for pickup." When I picked up my car after they called around 3:30/4, I noticed there was an issue with my blind spot sensors, they were sensing everything but a car. I brought it back to Chris, where he told me the car just had to be recalibrated and I can pick it up in an hour. Hour later, Chris calls back saying car is all fixed and ready for pick up. AGAIN, I go to pick up my car and didn't even get a mile down the highway and noticed the SAME issue. Not even 2 minutes later I pulled back up. Another mechanic came out to test drive my car with him so I can show him what I'm seeng. He notices the problem and states, "that should not be happeninig, it could be that the wire is possible pinched," then proceeds to go back to the shop to talk to Chris. Chris comes back all defensive telling me that the "one mecahnic who drove my car back from the calibration place said it was perfectly find and it's my lane assists going off." I calmly stated that that feature is not on in my car and if it was, it would be on the dashboard, it's not. Then they said "its a recall on kia," i have no recall on my car. I explain to him that my car was 100% find electronically upon arrival, and he looks at me and says "your car is 100% fine" .... I then say "when Im turning right into a jug handle with my blinker on, the blind spot sensors should not be activated causing the music to stop, and the car will "scream" to warn you someone is there." He then tried to tell me the car isn't "screaming" at me and again everything is fine and the other mechanic who drove my car is looking at him weirdly but says nothing to defend. Chris then told me that they have to now call statefarm to get approval to bring my car back in and get me a rental car but turns out, compact is reliable since this damage is from their mistake, not the accident. Turns out, when I had to bring my car to a diaqgnostic center, there was nothing wrong with my sensors, i actually need a whole entire new bumper on my BRAND NEW CAR. Instaed of painting just where the impact was, they repainted my whole bumper where there is now too much paint and overspray on it so now the sensors are malfunctionng. I was told by the diagnostic center that this place pretty much did the "quick and effficent way" to fix my vehicle. I am now without my car, again and statefarm will be charging compact for the rental car they refused to pay for the first time. ***my peace*** take accountability instead of debating with me that my car is just fine when im stating its not. I am willing to work with anyone. then to tell statefarm that "i can bring it back in and they'll take the bumper back off but not pay for my rental, and if they take it off and it's still not fixed im pretty much beat." Im very dissapointed to say the least and just because i'm young, don't think I dont know what im talking about and think you can go over easy on me. My stepfather has been in the towing service for years dealing with all different shops, your mistake was very easy to find. its a 2025 kia, there should be no mechanical or electronical issues. read more

Three years ago a minor accident led me to Compact Auto Body here in Middletown. I was referred by my auto insurance company. The repairs included replacing a damaged plastic side blade on the passenger's side of my 2017 Fiat Abarth. The total repair was flawless and erased all signs of an aggressive side swiping. Brought my car there for collision repair on the front and when it came out of the shop the check engine light came on. They messed something up badly and claimed it was always like that. I would stay far away since clearly they are liars and damaged my vehicles engine and wouldn't own up to it. The became no longer driveable because it was running on two cylinders. After accidentally tearing off my front bumper from backing over an unusually high drainage grate at a parking lot I needed an auto-body shop. I first called the Jaguar dealer and they wanted to charge an obscene amount to fix it so I thought to look locally. Having not previously needed to have auto-body work done, I had no idea where to look except to online reviews. Compact Auto Body was the closest shop to me and they had the highest reviews on Google so I went to them. They were able to schedule my repair very quickly which was great. Additionally, I had the peace of mind that my car would be safe since they have a large facility to work on and store vehicles inside. Because of the design of the bumper, and the damage incurred, it needed to be replaced and painted. During the entire time my car was with them I received text message updates so I knew what was going on and when to expect my car to be ready. One of my primary concerns was whether they could match the paint color since I have read on car blogs that color matching can be difficult, especially with darker metallic paints. When I came back to pickup the car, the color matched perfectly (Photos attached). I honestly felt like a kid on Christmas morning seeing my car complete and in perfect condition again. They worked with the insurance company once they found out there is more damage, and they're even letting me bring back the check since I didn't have payment since insurance did not send me the insurance check yet.
