I knew I needed a gym that could provide community and make working out something I looked forward to, especially after historically having structure in my workouts due to sports. The squad of trainers, the variety, the pop-ups - there's truly something for everyone and every version of how I'm feeling. Total supportive zone with women from every walk of life - unbeatable and so empowering. Shape Up Shoppe made it so easy to get into a routine and actually be excited about working out... plus it's affordable and I already see noticeable results after hardly a month. 100x over recommend. Come hang.

I have tried many different gyms and this one feels like a community. The knowledge that Julie (owner) and the other trainers have about fitness, nutrition, etc is remarkable and allows them to give personalized feedback depending on your fitness goal! You can tell that the owner and staff truly care about your fitness goals. Unlike other gyms, if you miss a class, they encourage you to make it up and try a different class rather than losing the money. Cardio Complete - these classes are a great full body workout with routines that each target different muscle groups. Incorporating bodyweight exercises, dumbbells, jump ropes and more. As someone who grew up dancing, these classes are especially fun for me as I enjoy the aerobics style routines. I saw results in my strength, cardio and muscle tone very shortly after joining these classes. Boxing - I am not a consistent member of the boxing classes, but have done a few drop-in classes and got a great workout! If you are looking for a fast paced, fun and tiring workout I would definitely recommend trying a boxing class. During the class you will switch between heavy hanging bags, speed bags, headache bags as well as individual target mitts with a trainer. Pilates Slide - this is a newer class offered and am hoping that they continue it. I have done pilates at other studios prior and nothing compares to this class. It is a low impact workout but is sure to leave you sweating and feeling toned! If you do not feel like doing a class, they also have a gym on the lower level with cardio equipment, free weights, and machines. I highly recommend giving the Shape Up Shoppe a try and guarantee that you will fall in love with it like I did!

Nothing on the website mentioned any kind of fee, so I was completely confused. I had never experienced anything like this. I was a little nervous about the heat, but they keep them right around 125 and if that's too hot, you can always adjust accordingly to what would make you more comfortable. The best part is that you don't have to work out for as long. I did a bike workout for 12 minutes and after waiting 15 minutes for my Pilates, I had already burned off another 85 active calories just by standing there. The staff is so friendly and great at explaining things. Wade is super attentive and really walked us through the entire process. The best perk is that it's way cheaper than most places you would go for classes and it's unlimited with 24/7 access. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and your first class is free!

Working out was not something I enjoyed doing. I fell in love with Achieve as soon as I walked into the studio. The walls have motivational quotes that push you to keep going ( which is great during a session), the atmosphere is welcoming and the coaches are beyond amazing! They give you the tools to a healthier lifestyle by offering nutritional seminars and a variety of workout sessions ( cardio, strength, power). Plus the coaches are always more than willing to help in any way and are some of the friendliest I've known. They are constantly supporting me and pushing me when I need to be pushed ( i need that!) After almost a year at Achieve I look forward to my workouts (when time allows it).I'm not afraid of weights anymore ( in fact I challenge myself to go heavier) Because I've learned how beneficial it can be for my body. Anne asked me how long I would like the hold for an I initially agreed to a month to see where things were. Upon further discussion in the future, she agreed to restart the remainder of my 18 month contract if I met with a trainer at Burn. I fulfilled that agreement. Now they are threatening to send me to collections if I do not pay for the previous 2 months, March and April. It is now May. I will not be retuning to the gym as what has previously been verbally agreed upon has not been fulfilled. In addition, I would have met with a trainer much sooner but as you will learn as a member, nobody ever answers the phone. I have attached evidence of our agreement on my membership resumption date. Clearly there is a lack of communication. When I did get in touch with the owner to clarify why I am being threatened to be turned over to collections, she clearly did not remember she committed to this agreement in an email.

Otto emailed me back and told me to come in and the first workout was on him. I showed up with my gloves and wraps all the way from San Diego. Let me tell you, this place is badass! It's located inside an old brick building. It has the feel of an old school boxing gym with a modern touch. I was greeted by Cauleen (I hope that's how you spell her name) at the front desk and she put the group through a tough boxing workout. She even held the pads for each person, that was cool as f&@k! I was able to hit the fight club 3 out of the 5 days I was in town. Each workout was different and you throw lots of different combinations! If you live in Milwaukee or the surrounding area I suggest you give this fight club a try. P.S. I noticed next door they also have a CrossFit gym. I didn't use it but I looked inside and it also looked really nice. If that's your thing you should try that. I appreciate the warm welcome and when I visit, I'll be back. Thanks

What an incredible thing Otto and his team have built. With several class offerings, an inclusive…read moreand energetic atmosphere, and facilities that make you feel like you're training to fight Ali himself, Dropout Fight Club is something you need to experience. All it took was one class and I'm a believer. Typically I'm not one to attend fitness classes because most of them are things you can do in just about any gym. That's not the case at Dropout. They not only run you through a high intensity workout, but teach you boxing fundamentals along the way. Walker was the instructor for my small class on a Friday evening and he did a killer job. He encouraged us to work hard all class, but was also supportive if someone felt they needed a break. And most likely you will need a break at some point! It was four rounds of high intensity bag work and functional fitness movements. Without a doubt, Dropout Fight Club gave me one of the best workouts of my life. Classes are a little on the pricey side, but they offer a truly phenomenal experience that you just can't get anywhere else. It is absolutely worth every penny. The only negative about Dropout Fight Club is that you can't see it from the road. The address listed takes you to what looks like an abandoned warehouse (actually it was a battery factory), but the gym is way in the back of the building. I've included a couple of pictures to help first timers find there way in. If you park on Keefe, you can walk around the fence to a gate that lets you into the parking lot. From there you walk all the way to the back and you'll see the sign. Once inside the building there are several businesses already running or being built. The grunge of the building makes it feel like you're walking into an underground fight club. All in all, I give Dropout my highest recommendation. I hope to see this business thrive over the next few years.
