This place used to be awesome but that was 3 years ago. Everything they sell now can almost always be found cheaper on eBay including the shipping price also. The way they price things now is they always start higher than the eBay price and lower it until some idiot finally buys it. eBay is so much cheaper now that you're just dumb to go to this place. read more

I enjoy shopping this thrift store because the merchandise is usually better than your average thrift store. The prices are higher than Goodwill and Salvation Army but I tend to find higher quality items here. The store is well organized. The clothing sizes are marked on the tags and sorted on the racks by size. The clothing is divided into women's, men's, and children's. Some of the clothing that is name-brand and new with tags are found hanging on racks in front of the boutique section. The boutique section is populated with collectibles, jewelry, small(easy to steal) items, and more valuable merchandise. Housewares always contain neat kitchen things. The store is usually crowded and on weekends a security guard watches over the place. The employees make sure unattended children aren't running the aisles. The parking lot is crowded. Today I got a very nice pair of golf shorts for $4.98. The prices are a little higher but worth it. read more

I drove here from waxhaw to check out this cool thrift location, but sadly i didn't get to check it out. when i walked in the front door i was asked to leave because of my service animal. I explained to the lady that he was my service dog and even showed proof with his service ID. she denied me to enter the store claiming that someone was allergic. Unfortunately i had to leave the store because i can't go anywhere without my service animal for heath related reasons. read more

This store is ripping off the community, they state that they are disabled american veterans, even state it on the receipts they give you. After doing some research this store has nothing to do with the DAV, The DAV has no affilation with this store. To make matters worse the is not a single Disabled American Veterian works here or can work here as anyone who displays any type of disablity is not hired. Or terminated for some made up reason. I quit going here years ago for two reasons: 1. Prices have gone way way up. They used to have very cheap or reasonable prices on clothes. Now for what they want I can add a few dollars more and buy it brand new. Same for other items, way over priced for a "thrift store". I saw many items that were in bad shape that were priced way to high, some items even higher than new retail! I don't go to thrift store to pay retail prices on used items! 2. Rugrats running around loose screaming and crying everywhere! Even though they make announcements in both English and Spanish that parents need to keep their children with them at all times, this is totally ignored. If you like getting bent over, then by all means, shop here. Otherwise, stay away from this place! They are proud of thier items and it shows by what they charge. Granted, they have a pretty good cross section of clothing, housewares, etc. but... c'mon, it's a thrift store! I'm surprised they don't charge admission just to walk in or have valet parking... This is another shop I like to frequent. Their selection is a little less fashion-y, but there are some good finds here too, ESPECIALLY if you're looking for a great coat. Hit them up all summer long to build a slamming coat wardrobe for those icy Charlotte winters. Could you taste the sarcasm? Not handicapped accessible!! I bought a big item and asked the cashier if they would load for me . the reason I asked was because I am handicapped an saw they dont pick up. I was told yes and to pull around back. The man (claimed to be a manager) carried the item out of the store , rudly asked me to back up and nearly carried the item off the property and refused to load. I went in requested my mint back. I had not even touched the item. I explained u was handicapped and was told by 2 managers no exception all sales final and they would not touch the item any more. I did manage to hurt myself getting the item in my car. Now its broke and I'm hurt. There needs to be a sign that is clear that they are not handicapped accessible in anyway. read more

Always crowded thrift store in West Charlotte. Ladies is right on the left when you walk in and there is plenty of good stuff to be had. They mark up on popular brands but not the stuff I'm looking for which is awesome, scored a pair of Columbia hiking pants for 6 bucks and a Lady Carhart flannel for 2 bucks. We buy a good amount of camping gear here, 25 cents for 4 spoons kinda thing. Yes, there's kids running around but it's a thrift store not Macy's. My only complaint is no dressing rooms so be sure you know your size. read more

I loved this place when I first found them about 2 or 3 years ago. I still like the place, but now everyone knows about them! So you know anytime a rare jewel is found by many, the place starts to stay busy (which I know is good for business) but sometimes items too many people there and it gets crowded. Anyway, they have a variety of items like furniture, housewares, baby, women's, men's, and kids clothes. They also have appliances for your hair and home, books, purses and so on. I hurts me to write this review, but I was in the store this past weekend expecting the usual, kids running rampant, parents unconcerned (although I never heard the usual message over the intercom besides a "Code 1 or 2 or whatever at register X" to control them. Here though is where I must note how little these employees are trained or empowered. I saw a hat for my friend, from Arkansas, and immediately grabbed it for her as she was born there and tolerates my rabid support of the Gamecocks but was elated to find a Razorbacks hat in our cart. I was also looking for two non-slotted plastic spoons for cooking as those I had either broke or were melted on my dishwasher element. The spoons varied by a few inches in spoon length, but one had a price of 75¢ and one without. We also found two poached egg trays, one with a price of 45¢ and one with a 75¢ price. Let me stress, IDENTICAL. We get to the register to find a friendly but completely clueless cashier. She first asked "what Arkansas was," Then, she could not sell the poached egg trays without getting another employee involved. The first said to charge 45¢ for the first and 75¢ for the other as the price tags said. End result, instead of having to re-ring everything, a third employee got involved (I'm assuming a Manager as she had a cash tray) and said ring the spoon for 45¢ to offset the overcharge. The entire ordeal took about 5-7 minutes and more than what all three employees, electricity, and rent cost because someone couldn't use their noggin or allowed to make a 30¢ decision. read more

Hello! I shop here once a week. I often buy furniture, and have gotten some great buys for my vintage/repurposing business. Yes, like most thrift stores, it's noisy and there are kids running loose. I shuck it up to the nature of shopping thrift stores. Yes, it's disturbing, and yes, I want to trip the kids once in a while! Back to the review, though. The store is well staffed, and yes, if the clothing has a 'label' that is considered 'prized,' i.e. Ann Taylor, Guess, Tommy Bahama, it's priced high - sometimes ridiculously so. If you hit the right day, when those items are marked down - then - score!!! It's still one of my go-to places. New stuff moving in all of the time. read more

I went to this thrift since the early 90's, not anymore. the prices are unreasonable and I will tell everyone that I know. The jeans are out of this world, I can go to Walmart and add a few dollars to buy new. How do they stay in business. I'm not sure who prices the clothes there but they are way off base!! A used shirt should NOT be priced as much as a new one. On more than one occasion I have shopped there and found this practice. Please for good customer service relationship revisit your pricing practice!! I've been shopping there for years and gradually the prices have increased, DRASTICALLY. I been going to this thrift store for over 20 years. The prices have been going up constantly and they removed the dressing rooms which was a really stupid idea. I always bought MUCH MORE when I could try it on first. I will say though, that this store totally beats out the two stores (Value Village, Goodwill) across the street. Very over priced items. I saw a pair of scandals that I liked and was amazed that they wanted $50.00 for them. I mean gosh, this is a thrift store, not a consignment shop. My women just brought some speakers for our computer from there like 30 minutes ago. The light is not coming on indicating it works. I even tried to see if it works on my tv but Nooooo. There are no restrooms available, the pricing practices seem completely unreasonable on some items. There are counterfeit goods being sold here so buyer beware. There is a rigorous return policy. I am searching for information regarding the business license status of this establishment. If anyone has info please post. Look for more 1 star ratings. Definitely visit Value Village.
