They're only open 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and only accept donations on Saturdays until 3pm. I went 6/3 and found some good finds. I saw a lot of name brand clothing in the women's and children's section with some items as low as $1. My personal finds were a new with tags pair of white shorts from Marshall's for $4 and a pair of Columbia brand pants for $4 as well. I also got a few books for $1.25 each and a shot glass set priced at $3 for 5 glasses. They do offer colored tag specials like 50% blue or 75% off pink so check out the signage when you come in.

For…read moremembers (those who contribute to the store's charities), they have a separate room where the members get first dibs on all the new stuff that comes in. For non-members (like us), the merchandise that remains (and there is a lot of it) is then arranged in a different room for the greater public. Even though there is a hierarchy to the visitors, the merch was still in abundance ... they have nice standards of what the take in and sell. We think they are only open two or three days per week, but if your looking to do a little thrift shopping, this is a nice one.

It is a real step up from the Goodwill stores but not nearly as big as it's sister store on Independence Boulevard. Both play relaxing, inspirational music. I like the fact that Wednesdays are half off all clothing, every week they have differing tag color specials, and the fact that they only charge $0.49 for DVDs and CDs. All the clothes are in good to excellent condition, with no stains or holes. It appears that they go to great lengths to ensure that is the case. More than anything though, I love the fact that they give so much back to the community. It make spending money here that much easier!

Generally speaking it's hard to get a low rating from me if you're any kind of store that deals in selling used items. That includes all of the many other chains and places that I won't bother to enumerate. Salvation Army is a LITTLE over the top for me because they're strongly religious. But I don't care much. They're making jobs and moving the economy, the way I see it. Plus they're turning what would otherwise be trash into treasure for some folks. This location is no exception and follows the SA standards of every other one I've been to. A good half of the store sells furniture arranged neatly in full room sets. Living room, bedroom, dining room, etc. They even sell several used TVs and appliances as long as they can keep a supply of them on hand. Lots of housewares all neatly organized by color in the usual SA way. It's an unusual way to do it and makes finding things a bit harder but all the more rewarding. Most of the rest of the store is dedicated to clothes. Men's, women's and children's. Shoes, hats, bags, sports equipment and even bikes sometimes. Prices are typically not too bad for used things, especially if you find something that's practically still new. I might have to check back in here from time to time!

First of all, the convenience is unmatched. They have a drive-thru donation area, and it made the entire process so easy. As soon as I pulled up, the staff came right out to my car and handled everything for me. I didn't have to get out, unload, or figure anything out--it was smooth from start to finish. The team was friendly, efficient, and super appreciative, which made the experience even better. You can tell they're organized and truly value people's time. We're visiting from Texas, and I have to say... we never get this kind of amazing treatment back home. This location really sets the bar high! If you've ever put off donating because it feels like too much work, this location completely removes that barrier.
