The grand opening was just yesterday Jan 19th. So for it to be just open for two days, I was shocked to see the amount of things available. There was lots of good quality items as well. I'm happy because finally there is one within minutes of me. While some of the stuff felt like they were trying to make up for the building cost because the items were way over priced, there were also decently priced things as well. It definitely has potential and I know with time it will get better. When I walked in, the place was already packed with people. My only complaint was that I hope with time, the employees get the pricing down. I bought a vinyl record and because I collect, I knew the pricing should be 49 cent. So when I saw the young lady charged me the price for dvd/cd, I asked and she said oh yeah sorry I couldn't tell that it vinyl. That was the moment I officially felt old .

I was…read moreactually planning to head to Office Depot already for Thank You cards when I conveniently found them here - an instant win for thrift and zero-wasters! Generally speaking it's hard to get a low rating from me if you're any kind of store that deals in selling used items. That includes all of the many other chains and places that I won't bother to enumerate. Salvation Army is a LITTLE over the top for me because they're strongly religious. But I don't care much. They're making jobs and moving the economy, the way I see it. Plus they're turning what would otherwise be trash into treasure for some folks. This location is no exception and follows the SA standards of every other one I've been to. A good half of the store sells furniture arranged neatly in full room sets. Living room, bedroom, dining room, etc. They even sell several used TVs and appliances as long as they can keep a supply of them on hand. Lots of housewares all neatly organized by color in the usual SA way. It's an unusual way to do it and makes finding things a bit harder but all the more rewarding. Most of the rest of the store is dedicated to clothes. Men's, women's and children's. Shoes, hats, bags, sports equipment and even bikes sometimes. Prices are typically not too bad for used things, especially if you find something that's practically still new. I might have to check back in here from time to time!

It is a real step up from the Goodwill stores but not nearly as big as it's sister store on Independence Boulevard. Both play relaxing, inspirational music. I like the fact that Wednesdays are half off all clothing, every week they have differing tag color specials, and the fact that they only charge $0.49 for DVDs and CDs. All the clothes are in good to excellent condition, with no stains or holes. It appears that they go to great lengths to ensure that is the case. More than anything though, I love the fact that they give so much back to the community. It make spending money here that much easier!

Best Goodwill location I've ever been to!…read more I've been to quite a few Goodwill locations, and this one is hands down the best experience I've ever had. First of all, the convenience is unmatched. They have a drive-thru donation area, and it made the entire process so easy. As soon as I pulled up, the staff came right out to my car and handled everything for me. I didn't have to get out, unload, or figure anything out--it was smooth from start to finish. The team was friendly, efficient, and super appreciative, which made the experience even better. You can tell they're organized and truly value people's time. We're visiting from Texas, and I have to say... we never get this kind of amazing treatment back home. This location really sets the bar high! If you've ever put off donating because it feels like too much work, this location completely removes that barrier. It was quick, stress-free, and honestly one of the easiest drop-offs I've ever done.

The parking lot still jams up and it's not easy to negotiate. I would not try this with the Sprinter van for sure. Inside, the store is packed. My eye was immediately drawn to the display of men's shirts before my wife pulled me away. Yes, I already have a closetful and do not need more clothes. In the housewares, we browsed and spotted a perfect replacement. And then while waiting to check out, we spotted a card game that was marked down to $0.49. How could we not? Now we have something silly do do when family visits for the holidays. It's still four stars here. The merchandise changes from moment to moment, you will never know what you will find and the prices are great. But it can be a tough shop as the place is very densely packed and the parking lot is too small by half. [Review 2392 of 2024 - 3852 in North Carolina - 23405 overall]
