I knew this was going to be bad from what I heard but it is worse than we expected. My wife and son were both so insulted picking up their medication that they already changed pharmacy and never want to return. I met the new pharmacy manager today at Walgreens to try to get my prescription And she turned me away and said she would get to it when she can. I can only hope Walgreens understands they will loose all their loyal customers when this new pharmacy manager has destroyed our local Walgreens pharmacy in St Pete. I'm disturbed because it felt like I was being given misinformation until I requested the pharmacist. Regardless of the reason, that level of attitude and inaccuracy is unacceptable when dealing with a child's life-sustaining medication. The employee's attitude was unnecessary, and giving wrong information about a child's prescriptions is unacceptable. Please retrain staff and take patient safety seriously . They did not check the ID in the purse to the person who picked it up. If they had it would not have been turned over to this person. Now when I find out my purse went to the wrong person with no check at all I was upset. I lost all my ID money and everything and the management of this Publix does not even know my name. They made no attempt to fine out. All the store manager said was I am sorry. So I am seriously thinking about going another 10 minutes on the bus so I maybe will go to a store where the staff is trained and care about their customers.
