Latte flight with syrup flavors: cardamom clove, orange maple, hazelnut, and rosemary peppercorn. There's sooo many to choose from!
Maggie H.

Absolutely loved the coffee here, the welcoming ambiance, and the fun seasonal menu. I of course had to try the latte flight to get a sense of their house-made syrups, and I can truthfully say the syrups I tried were some of the most unique and tasty I've ever had. Will definitely be back! This place and their staff brighten up Parsons for sure

Hot chocolate

This is their hot chocolate. It comes in 8, 12 or 16 ounce (this is the 12). Delicious and creamy! Friendly people, and some great art from local artists on the wall. Inside seating and patio seating in warmer weather. Street parking is relatively easy to find.

Pawpaw ice cream drew me to Community Grounds, and it's such a great, cute, eclectic space! First of all, and most importantly, Community Grounds serves oat milk-based (vegan!) soft serve every weekend, and their flavors change every week. I had yet to taste what the pawpaw fruit tasted like, so I headed on down to sample this seemingly elusive fruit. The gal working the counter was polite and had a good sense of humor. She gladly described their pawpaw treat and game me a sample. Holy cow, the pawpaw soft serve tasted just like a creamy, sweet chai tea, and I LOVE CHAI TEA! I might have walked out with four giant capfuls of this pawpaw soft serve, and still have some hanging in my freezer. I can neither confirm or deny. I just want to add that walking inside Community Grounds, I completely felt at ease, like I was walking into a neighborhood barber shop. Grab a coffee (locally sourced coffee grounds!) and a pastry from local providers such as Oh Oh Tupelo or a greeting card from talented illustrators around Columbus, take a seat, listen to a talk about local youth activities, make a kid-centered craft with the little ones, or just kick back and breath in the calmness. CG has been a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, especially through this time of gentrification!

Rice was hard. Smoothie tased like powder. Wasn't impressed. Over priced. Definitely won't be returning.

cute vibes and really nice barista! i feel i'd get a different drink next time i go to like it more- so my rating could be a 4! i really do think it has so much potential and maybe i just got the wrong flavour. so many syrups to choose from and yeah! sweet!

Black coffee and a vegan calzone
Jillian D.

Such a cute place with friendly staff and goods from local artisans for sale. The coffee is good and relatively cheap, and they offer vegan treats which can sometimes be hard to find at a coffee shop. They also had some games in the back. My partner and I enjoyed coffee and treats here before going over to the nearby Scioto Audubon metro park. Their vegan calzone tasted like Papa John's breadsticks, IYKYK. I still need to try their vegan soft serve ice cream!

Love this art work !!

It is incredibly difficult to make vegan soft serve that is creamy, has great flavor, and well doesn't taste like flavored ice.

Service: staff is friendly and work quickly…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: inside is very well decorated with a modern look. The pastries and cakes are displayed beautiful front and center. Food: Almond croissant is delicious. Crispy, flaky, soft interiors with a beautiful almond filling. This is the best almond pastry I've had in Columbus. I'd highly recommend. Maple pecan twist is delicious. Soft with a sweet maple glaze and crunchy pecans to top. This was beautiful down and tasted fantastic. If you're a pecan lover this is for you. I'd highly recommend. Pumpkin morning bun was phenomenal. This is one of the best pumpkin pastries I've ever had. A true pumpkin flavor with a soft buttery pastry. I'd insist on this item. Crème Brûlée Eclair was good. Butter pastry with a crunchy caramel topping and a sweet very well made cream filling. This was my first eclair and I'm not disappointed. I'd recommend. Plum cranberry Almond Tart was delicious. The plums and cranberries were fresh and added a nice freshness to the almond base tart. I'd highly recommend. Chocolate bombe was great. Cold ganache filling with dark chocolate chunks and a beautiful ganache and cocoa powder over the top. I'd recommend for chocolate lovers. Chocolate Caramel Pecan Feuilletine was great. It genuinely tasted like an upscale turtle. If turtles are something you'd enjoy. I'd highly recommend.

Overpriced and overhyped! Visited with a few friends when it was still chilly out and waited in…read moreline to order a mocha, a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate macaron. I think the issue is with the chocolate they use for the mocha but it had such an odd flavor that I couldn't bring myself to finish it. The croissant was fine and not memorable and I won't say too much on the macaron because I think I just realized I'm not really a macaron person so I can't fairly judge them there. The cafe is itty bitty and there is absolutely no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go situation. There are a few seats outside so hopefully you can snag a seat when the weather is nicer. Overall, I think there are a lot of other good coffee shops in Columbus that I don't see myself going out of my way to come back.
