After visiting like 5 other drug stores on nearby streets - we finally found one that had a…read morepharmacy where my husband, who recently fell down the stairs at our home, wanted to ask what might give him some relief from bruised ribs. All the drugstores in and around this area were on lockdown and somewhat dingy... I waited 10 minutes for them to unlock a glass case that had some hand lotions of travel size inside it for $5.46. They couldn't find the key and then people kept walking past me to open other cases for people while I waited and my husband got more and more angry... I had looked the small travel-size items and they didn't have what I needed so I felt like I had to wait. Super annoying for such small-ticket items. I suppose there is a lot of theft of those things from this store and area, but still, long time waiting for a $5 lotion.

ONE STAR -- EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL!…read more My experience at the CVS Pharmacy on Canal Street was absolutely unacceptable, and I will NOT be recommending this location to anyone. First, the older, bald, biracial female cashier had an excessively rude attitude toward my daughter. She was rushing my daughter through the payment process as if getting the line down was more important than treating customers with basic respect. What made the situation even more ridiculous was that there were only TWO PEOPLE in line and plenty of employees working. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of attitude or unnecessary rushing. But that wasn't even the worst part. Another employee, a white female who was also in line, apparently thought it was funny to laugh at my daughter because MY CARD DECLINED. We were simply trying to make a purchase to see whether an older card of mine still worked. That's it. It was a straightforward transaction, and there was absolutely nothing funny about it. A declined card is NOT an invitation to humiliate, ridicule, or belittle somebody. Payment issues happen, and no customer should ever have to worry about being laughed at or embarrassed while trying to make a purchase. What kind of customer service is this? Are these employees trained to treat people this way? And is this how they treat all their customers, or do they only show basic disrespect when they think they can get away with it? I find this behavior completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The cashier's attitude and the other employee's behavior both need to be addressed by management. Honestly, I believe their conduct warrants serious disciplinary action, and management needs to investigate this incident and hold the employees involved accountable. My daughter did not deserve to be treated that way. Nobody deserves to be made to feel small over a card transaction. CVS needs to do better. Management needs to address this behavior, because no customer should ever leave a store feeling disrespected or humiliated by the very people who are supposed to serve them. I will NOT recommend this location to anyone, and based on this experience, I have absolutely no desire to return. Customer service is about respect, professionalism, and treating people like human beings. Unfortunately, that was not what we received at this location.
