I do not trust Dr. Tadang. I saw him for two different procedures and both were unsuccessful. First one was to put on a new crown for cracked tooth that was seen by my endodontist during a root canal procedure. Dr. Tadang said he could not see it, so he just put in a new filling. I ended up having the tooth extracted several months later. Could it have been saved if Dr. Tadang did what my endodontist told him to? Maybe. Second procedure was to replace a different crown. He took an impression with his scanner and told me to wait until it was approved by my insurance. He calls me several weeks later and says my crown is approved but will not install it unless I pay him $150 for a gingivectomy that he never told me I needed. He was basically holding the crown hostage. There's a reason why he waited until the crown was approved - so I would hand over the additional money in order to get the crown for free. I went ahead and agreed to it because I just wanted it the ordeal to be over. He installed the new crown but my pain just became worse. He told me to go see an endondontist. I saw two of them and they both told me the root canal was ok but the crown may have been placed incorrectly. Dr. Tadang refuses to see me and even put a note in my file, so when I call his staff just tells me that I cannot come to the office and "Dr. Tadang has already helped you and go somewhere else." Totally inexcusable behavior. Btw, on my first appointment to this office, the staff was outside on the street talking and looking at their phones when I came to check in for my appointment, knowing that a patient was scheduled to come in. read more

Highly Recommended if you're looking for a new dentist. Super Clean office! The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. No one likes going to the dentist, but this was a pleasant experience. When you get to your room they ask you to choose what you want to watch on Netflix, which's allows you to briefly escape from the fact that they are about to be all up in your mouth. I've never been a big fan of going to the dentist, and the last time I had seen one was over 5 years ago. But after coming here, I've been converted and I'll be coming in regularly for checkups. Dr. Kim did my checkup/cleaning and it was honestly the smoothest and most painless dentist visit I've ever had. She checked in on me throughout the process to make sure I was comfortable and not in pain, and also explained what she was doing and why, which was a new experience for me. Afterwards, Dr. Brian went over my X-rays and the in-mouth photographs and was super helpful in explaining the results, plus how to take better care of my teeth going forward. Last but not least, the office is really clean and modern, and the assistants both at the front desk and at the chairs were really pleasant to interact with. I was even set up with my choice of Netflix content to watch while waiting for my checkup to begin. 10/10 place and would highly recommend to anyone. read more

Personally a visit to the dentist always puts me on the edge--Dr.Brian Tadang changed that for me completely! All my work was done thoroughly and efficiently, always a warm welcome and given the current pandemic very comfortable & safe. They require masks to be able to enter the building, as well as having your temperature taken before being seated! Having to pay for any type of treatment is also pleasant since they did accommodate a 'payment plan'. This is also the first practice I have ever seen that's so modern/clean, including having a TV set up streaming Netflix while you get your work done! People already dread going to the dentist, but Commonwealth Dental does their very best to put you at ease, and make sure you and your smile are well taken care of. Situated off Commonwealth in Fullerton, is a very clean and modern dentist office run by Dr. Brian and Dr. Nguyen. First off, everyone in the place is super nice... you can't walk anywhere without them smiling and asking how you are doing. If this was some other sales business, I already bought it. That feeling of comfort and ease is something rare to see in many dentistry offices. Secondly, Dr. Brian is very professional, truly knowledgeable, and wants to make sure that you are comfortable and aware of the treatment. Whether it be cleanings, fillings, or more in-depth dental work, Dr. Brian will take care of you in the best way possible. I'm sure he takes most insurances, so if the time is tooth-hurty, i'd schedule and appointment and get situated with Commonwealth Dental. I only take the time to review a place that truly warrants a 5 star review, and this dental office deserves the Merritt. I found this dentist through my insurance website, but I also checked the yelp reviews before making an appointment. They seemed pretty booked up when I first called, but honestly it was worth the wait. I think if I needed to be accommodated for sooner appointment then they would have, but I was in no rush to see the dentist. It's been 4 years since my last dental appointment lol so that speaks for itself. I definitely push off the dentist because I'm afraid of pain and things like that. I was a new patient so my appointment took a little longer than I expected. So if you're like me, and took the time to go to the dentist during your work hours be prepared for a little longer time spent at this appointment. I had to do paperwork and all my X-rays, which takes time. For some reason I didn't into take that into account. I told my office I'd be back real quick lol. So just be mindful of that if you're a new patient. The office is very clean and the staff was super nice. My favorite part of the whole experience was that they let you watch Netflix and whatever show you want. I'm sure the show you pick must be within reason lol. But I thought that was such a nice touch while you wait. It helped take my mind off the time, the X-rays, and the cleaning. I really enjoyed that during my visit. The doctor was very professional and explained everything clearly. For the ones who are afraid of the pain he had a light hand and the dental assistant did great on my cleaning as well. My veneer came off all of a sudden in the morning of Saturday, so I had to find any dental office that opened on Saturday. Commonwealth Dental came to my attention, so I called the office to let them know what I had had that morning. The staff was so kind to answer all my questions and concerns. I made an appointment and went there in about an hour to get my teeth treated. Really good dental services! They are very flexible with scheduling. It's not that far from where I live, around 15 minutes drive.

Everyone is so friendly & the office is extremely clean & organized. Dr Brian helps tremendously with my anxiety surrounding dentists! I have had horrible & traumatizing experiences in the past and he's very gentle and aware of it. If he senses the slightest bit of discomfort he stops. He also has quick reflexes! Between anxiety & sensitivity in my mouth I can tense up and/or move & I feel horrible but it's like he has a sixth sense and is able to stop whatever he's doing before any damage is done. He's very kind and great at his job. My health insurance hasn't provided many great doctors but they've given me a great dentist and I am so grateful for that. Both Dr. Kim and Dr. Brian were super friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The doctors and the entire staff were all wearing masks, and Dr. Kim also mentioned I was the only patient during my visit which gave me a sense of relief as I've been quite the stickler with quarantining. Great to know they're properly practicing social distancing and taking care of their patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. I came in for a routine cleaning with Dr. Kim who is kind, gentle, and knowledgeable as she took her time to explain any questions I had. During the cleaning she made sure I didn't feel any discomfort around my sensitive teeth, which set me at ease and was greatly appreciated. I usually leave the dentist office with some discomfort but for whatever reason, I had zero pain when I left here. She's got some skills working those dental devices. This has been my second time coming here and all I can say is that Dr.Kim and Dr.Brian are the best, their staff is very nice and professional, makes you feel welcomed and at ease. I'm scared of going to the dentist but not anymore, they even play Netflix for you so that you can be distracted while they work on your teeth. My regular dentist in La Habra could not see me that day as he was in a conference.
