Went in to look and found some nice items. I had been saving my store credit for a larger purchase. Only to be informed it had been absorbed after 6 months. Seriously...if something was absorbed by a customer, that would be considered shoplifting. I call it theft. Overall, I like this consignment shop because most items here are affordable for the everyday customer like me. The shop is located near other shops making it convenient to come here. This place is glorious retail boutique that offered all things consignment clothes. Consignment is always a plus, but the prices here really can't be beat! The staff is extremely welcoming and informative without being too pushy, however my favorite aspect is the way the store is laid out. Picture this - instead of sitting through racks and racks of densely packed clothes or overflowing baskets of shoes - they format every article of clothing in the most intuitive and efficient way. Common Threads only accepts clothes by appointment, and they only take appointments between 10:00 and 4:30. In other words, they only deal with Denver Housewives who do not work. If you have an account, they will let you drop off clothes, but there is absolutely no option to retrieve what they do not consign. In other words, you cannot bring what they do not consign to another shop or to your own charity. Very snobbish, like they're doing you a favor making money off your stuff. Their loss - I walked out of the shop with a large bag of unworn, designer shoes. read more

Sold some items here recently in late summer. One item was a DaNang vest that they were going to wait to put out in fall as they "thought they could get more for it" then. After my time passed and I went to pick up the items that did not sell, the vest was not part of them and also not part of items they sold. They talked to me initially like "are you sure you even brought it in?" Thankfully I still had my handwritten receipt they give you when dropping the items off for verification that..."yes, you had it." Long story short it took them 15 minutes to figure out they had sold it under the wrong name/account and only sold it for $46 (I got $23). It would've sold easy for $70. Maybe they sold it for $46, but should they have a rebuttal to my review, I suggest, as other consignment shops do, you either agree on a selling price for higher ticket items at time of drop off or provide receipts for our item sales so we can verify we get our actual 50%. In line with other reviews, customer service was poor and integrity lacking. read more

I have been searching and searching for a good consignment shop in Denver and finally I happened upon Common Threads. This place is great! They have everything from Polo to Versace, and all for a very reasonable price. They have a nice variety of sizes and designers, along with a wide array of shoes. I walked away with spending $132 and getting a Tommy Hilfiger blazer, 3 Ralph Lauren button downs, and some silky blouses. Such a steal. If you are looking to sell here, make sure your pieces are in tip top condition, because they are picky. You can get either cash, check, or store credit for your consigned items. Common Threads is conveniently located on Pearl Street, so it's the perfect place to go shop around while at the farmer's market or after lunch. Great finds for affordable prices. I cannot come in here without spending money. It is a jewel in Denver, Colorado. Majority of my pieces come from facility. Expect to see t-shirts $12-28, dresses $20-50 and jewelry $25-60. I am not much into name brands however you will see Jcrew, Banana Republic, Boden, J Brands and Neiman Marcus. I have consigned many of my pieces here and would come back in the future. read more

This place rocks, I almost (selfishly) don't want to write a review for fear of future purchases being snapped up. You can really find some beautiful designer pieces here at great prices. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I have never consigned but they have a very fair system and you can check out what's sold via an online system. I would say this is prob the best higher end consignment shop with great brands. I got a Ted Baker dress new with tags there recently for $55!!! read more

I have so so many clothes. What to do with them all? Consignment was my answer. Everything sold quickly, and I was paid promptly. I just wish I could have gotten higher prices. But maybe that's just the nature of the entire consignment industry. But even better is shopping there, because of the huge variety of eclectic items. Fun. read more

I'm not female, so this shop doesn't help me much, but I really liked the selection of stuff. I'd recommend that girl friends go here and look for nicer parts of their wardrobe. Prices aren't Goodwill prices of course, but it's so nice to have that shop offering apparel you want and less than crazy prices. read more

I've had great experiences so far at Common Threads. I am starting to think I'm behind on my discovery of this gem in Wash Park. Several friends of mine already knew of this place when I began recommending it. I sell my items here on consignment, and all the women I have worked with have been very friendly in regards to which items they'll accept. I respect that they are honest about wanting to carry higher end merchandise, and they seem to stay true to that concept while being very welcoming and polite. I've had good success selling items, such as designer jeans, and I have also purchased several items. Among my favorite purchases are a pair of Tory Burch fur boots that looked new, and a few Burberry scarves that also looked new. I am very happy I have found this place, I plan to be a regular from now on! read more

When Common Treads first opened in my neighborhood shopped there several times. I swore to never go back because every piece I brought home had something wrong with it. I tried to inspect everything in the store but at home in better light I found stains or seams that were falling apart. Maybe I expect too much, these clothes are used. But the quality just seemed to be about what you'd expect to see in a thrift store, not a "high end" consignment store. So I hadn't been in since they expanded and finally decided to give them another chance this weekend. I found a cute sweater and it seemed to be in really good shape so I bought it. Sure enough, at home I opened the bag to a wave of B.O. This thing smelled like gym socks. Now I'm really NEVER going back in there. You should stay away too. read more

My new love! Just strolled in here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. It is clean, well-organized and full of gems. The prices on point to give you that woo-hoo-what-a-great-deal feeling. This is a wonderful place and the selection seems to change quite often which means people are selling and buying most of the time. There are even some shoes and bags inside, while the rest is predominantly clothes. They like to place a sale rack outside which is a very good strategy and definitely won me over. read more

Love this place. I shop and consign here - it's one of the easiest places in Denver to consign. You can make an appointment online or just drop your stuff off. You can also check your account balance online (very convenient b/c with other stores you have to call). Their selection is awesome, including new (non-consigned) accessories. I always find something to buy here. If you use your consignment balance towards your purchase, they give you a discount off your entire purchase. This is far and away one of the best consignment stores I have ever been to. I have purchased three items here. A pair of pants for about 40. Went online and looked up the brand and they retail for about 400. Another pair of pants j.crew, brand new with tags for 24. And an Anthropologie dress for 36, which I'm guessing probably cost about 200 retail at least. I have some pretty big concerns about the working standards in the clothing industry and It is so refreshing to be able to purchase good quality clothes, that are used and therefore dramatically helping the problem. I also am a huge fan of fashion, and its so nice to be able to go to a place where I find prices that are sooo reasonable. Honestly I think I found the one and only place I ever want to shop. read more

I just wanted to make the public aware of my experience with the shop, as this was years ago, but very disturbing. I brought a bag of clothes for sale to this shop, and after the clerk went through them, she said only one thing was suitable (a blouse from Target) for consignment. I was fine with that, I didn't have high expectations. I therefore asked if they had a donation bin for the rest of the clothes they didn't want, and they said they would donate my clothes to charity. I stopped by the shop a couple of weeks later, and what did I see on the racks? MY CLOTHES. They actually took the clothes they said they would donate, and put them out for resale. How sleazy. When I brought this to the clerks attention with one of the items (which was a mustard-colored ruffle hoodie from Anthropologie) explaining this was something I had brought in, was told it wasn't wanted, and it would be donated, the clerk that day was extremely rude to me, and said I'm probably mistaken as many items can seem identical. Not only was it a unique item to begin with, but I would know an article of clothing I had worn for many years as my own. I'm notating this as unsavory business practices, and when I brought it to their attention, I was treated rudely. Disgusting. read more

After reading the reviews on this store, I finally stopped by last Friday. Boutique consignment shop packed full of designer and quality clothes in a well-organized way! Some of the summer items were also an extra 10% off, which isn't a huge discount, but they were already discounted from the original price. I am a big fan on consignment shops where I can find higher end or mall-expensive clothes for half the price. While some items were still a bit pricey, I don't always know the designers or original price. I skipped on a pair of over $100 shoes but bought a pair of $50 shoes that were barely used, unique and stylish. Packed full of shoes (and even the common size 7), dresses, jeans, etc. My new favorite store. read more
