Called, spoke to Adeil (owner), he suggested I come in that morning. I got my vehicle towed there (had to, a belt had broken in my engine), met Adeil and handed him the belt, we popped the hood and chatted a few minutes about the circumstances of my car breaking down. Considering my car is 17 years old, any number of things *could* be wrong with it...Adeil looked into my engine and battery warning lights, diagnosed the problem, and for a reasonable price and in about a day, fixed it. Only two things needed to be fixed (the belt and the alternator). He inspected the engine and underneath the car and said everything else looked to be in good working order, even the tires! Adiel and Roosevelt were absolutely incredible in servicing me and I have to give them such a shout out because they went beyond what I'd even expected. I went in to replace my shocks, thinking that was the issue, along either brake light bulb replacements. Both Roosevelt and Adiel were very kind in hearing me out, then diagnosing the issue. Beyond accurately identifying the actual issue (wheelbearing assembly - not shocks), and not only just charging a reasonable price but actually an *affordable* price, me and my mom realized a sound that we'd gotten used to (I mean for years) wasn't actually normal (despite all other mechanics telling us either nothing was wrong or it was the shocks for over two years) and became silent after our fix. Not only that, the bulb replacement (which they thought would be simple so proactively offered to take care of it for us - on the house) was actually a problem with the brake wire rather than the bulb itself. Which was a much more complicated and costly repair, and they followed through with their original offer of doing it for free. Even though I hesitated they insisted that they'd not charge me for it. Not to mention, we went in past noon on a Saturday and came back about 4 or 5 hours later on a same day to the fixed car, like the service was fast. They are quick to respond, transparent with all the problems with the car and pricing, and would be ppl who would be on your side against the insurance company (in my case, Geico). My quote also came out to be a lot lower than I thought as well. When I had my car being fixed they provided a ride home neardy and even cleaned and detailed my car after the fixing. Hello, I have had the best experiences here and wish I could give more stars than 5! I have come here twice for my car. The works are all super knowledgeable and kind. The owner is very sweet and will not try to uncharge you. As a young women not originally from this area, he was the only one that when shopping around for quotes was willing to work with me to find the best option for my budget and did not try and upsell me at all. I greatly trust his advice and he won't tell you things are wrong with your car just to get more money out of you. I cannot recommend this place enough and will hopefully be going here for years to come. I went here for a second opinion after being advised at pleasant car care (Watertown) that I needed a valve cover gasket replacement due to supposed oil leaks in the engine compartment. Upon taking the car to common st for inspection, I was told that I did not need a replacement and that everything looked normal for the age of my car. They were honest in saying I didn't need any work done and saved me from potentially spending $700 (Pleasant quote). I thought I was looking at some major work, but the owner was very honest and told me it might just be a line or a seal. He showed me pictures of everything that needed to be replaced. My car broke down while I was driving, and luckily I was able to get a hold of Adiel before the shop closed to see if I could get it towed there. He said no problem and that they'd look at the car first thing in the morning. My car failed its inspection at a garage near my apartment in Boston and the mechanic said it was because the cars emission system could not communicate with the testing equipment. After some research and calling my mechanic, I was 80% sure I had either been ripped off or the other garage was just incompetent. My parents have been coming to this garage for a while and recommended I have them take a look. It was a great choice. The mechanic hooked my car up for free, did a quick test and was able to tell me everything looked ok. He then was 100% upfront that I could get my car retested for free at the garage that had failed me and that he could not guarantee it would pass the full inspection test. I decided to pay for the inspection and as expected my car passed. I'm giving this place five stars since the owner spent 10 minutes doing a free initial test on my car so he could tell me if there were any obvious problems. That gave me the confidence to go ahead and get the car inspected again. Passing the inspection saved me a 129 dollar maintenance appointment and having to take half a day off work. read more

The greatest. Reasonable prices, pleasant. I've been there for some major work--had to have an oil leak fixed, which required them to lift the engine out etc. Today took the car in because the car "skirt"-- the covering beneath the engine compartment, was dragging. I was going to drop the car and come back, but Adiel said he could do it right then. Apparently they just needed to re-clamp it. These guys are fantastic! We have a Toyota Sienna minivan. A number of lights started going off warning us about the ABS system and the VSC system. Then the speedometer started acting up and bouncing around to different speeds. We took it into a dealer, who reported that the ABS module needed replacement and hit us with a $4500 price tag to replace the system. We took it into Common Street Auto. They took a look at the ABS module, saw that there was some corrosion on the wires leading to the ABS module, cleaned the leads and the problems were fixed. We've been driving the van for a while now and now issues to report. They saved us a ton of money. We're taking our cars to them first next time. read more
