Even more than Zillow thought it was worth! The neighbors thought we were crazy, but wished us good luck as they would benefit from increased comps themselves. We signed the paperwork and she got right to work. There would have to be some improvements before listing. Painting, new carpets, deep cleaning, etc.... I was relieved when she said she was trying to keep the work to only what was absolutely necessary to keep my expenses down. The great thing is that Jill has a huge network of people to get the work done. She's got a painter. She knows a great carpet guy (Sal, who was awesome and got me a GREAT deal!). There were several things she said were negotiable and then became a hard no when we entered into escrow. Also, when the contingencies were not lifted on her timeframe, she was incredibly rude to me and my mom and my banker. Lastly, when we closed she didn't show up, and when we were given a key to the front door that had a broken lock and we couldn't get in. Their response was " oh she should have gotten the home insurance company out" So basically, too bad. They wouldn't pick up their for sale wooden post, even after texting several times.
