I just got the cappuccino, and it was a good cappuccino. It was very smooth and didn't taste burnt. Burnt coffee is the cardinal sin of baristas. Anyway, I got here at around 10:30 and connected to Wi-Fi. The internet is really slow here. Within an hour, the place was packed, and people were standing waiting for seats to be free. While I was sitting by myself with my cappuccino waiting for my video to download from the slow internet. Were people giving me side eyes? Absolutely. But I got there early. For the reason that I came to The Cupping Room, this is not a great place to work, but it's ok if you need a place. It would probably be better in the afternoon when people aren't brunching.

While the food is nothing near amazing or authentic, and the flowers at the florist is just above par (hey I have a high standard), the decor makes up for everything and some more. It's enough to attract first timers but not enough to keep returning customers. Which, ironically, is perfect on Gough Street, while nowadays consists of only tourists and hipsters. Agnes b. is too mainstream to attract hipsters anyway compared to other shops, and you don't really have to care about returning tourists... so yeah, it can and probably will excel very well here but I have other options for sure.

The coffee here is pretty good however and is slightly cheaper than the coffee shops in the area. They also have a loyalty program so you get a free coffee after buying 10. I personally like their cappuccino and think it's better than the Coffee Academics and Starbucks version which are your other choices close by. They recently changed up the menu and offer more low carb friendly options which are geared to the paleo/ketogenic diet crowd. An example is the cauliflower rice option that they sell. This isn't a place I would recommend to go out of your way to go to. If you work in the office building it's a convenient choice for something quick. Seating usually isn't an issue either which is a bit of a luxury in Hong Kong.

My friend and I shared the chasu and egg over rice and tomato soup macaroni with beef slices. The tomato soup macaroni also came with a plate of scrambled eggs and white toast. Chasu and eggs rice plate: We ate earlier in the day so I wasn't that hungry but I had to try it. I really enjoyed this - another comfort food winner! Eggs were scrambled perfectly and it went well with the sweet chasu and soy sauce. Tomato soup macaroni and beef: I tried a little bit of the soup and I found the soup to be sour and the macaroni too soft for my liking. I believe that this is the Chinese version of tomato soup when you're sick. It's not my thing so I'll pass on this next time. Scrambled eggs with toast: Creamy scrambled eggs on toast was also very good. I managed to eat one slice of toast with the scrambled eggs and couldn't eat any more for the day. Cafe Seasons is well lit (not like the look of the dead everyone has at Australia Dairy Company) and servers are efficient and dare I say friendly. I liked the chasu egg rice plate so much I went by myself two days later :)
