Now, it may also be that I get an old-school, "regular," haircut, which may make it easy on them, but, I am never rushed, no matter how many people are waiting (avoid Fridays and Saturdays! (same as any barber)), and am treated well. I'm not a chatter, so, they may engage me at the beginning with light banter, but, they realize I don't want it, so they stop. The barbers range in age, and there are even women barbers. As far as I'm aware (and have seen), they can do most styles, shaves, trims, etc; they do kids, and I've even seen them work on a woman! They'll even give you a hot towel upon request (I'm not sure if that's extra; I got one without having asked for it, but didn't pay extra for it; it felt great, but, I don't need it). The only "negative" I can think of is that, sometimes, they (and I) forget to do the ear hair, which is difficult for me to do at home with my trim razor (you can't cut what you can't see!). The cost has gone up a bit over the years, but, to get what I want without frou-frou nonsense or upselling or breaking the bank (under $20) is worth it! And I always give a $2 tip, which, from what I've seen, is double what they get from most people! I hope they stay in business for years to come! I've been in barber purgatory for about two years. Once my previous barber moved out of state, I was left searching far and wide for a cut that left me feeling fresh and satisfied when I left the chair. Today, at Commitment Barbers, Arthur provided the best haircut I've had in recent memory. His friendly manner, attention to detail, and appreciation for the craft was totally evident. He runs a clean, attractive shop that leaves you looking attractive for a more than reasonable price. I'm now "committed" to Commitment Barbers, and once you check these guys outs, you will be too. read more

Finding a barber can be difficult. One you can trust, you can relate to, and could offer an overall exceptional experience. At commitment barbers, you will find that and more. I've followed Ari (Artur) to several shops he worked at, and now in the shop he owns. Ari never rushes and is meticulous with his craft. If you're looking for a barber that gives the freshest fades and textured scissor cuts, you found your place. The shop is clean and modern with a welcoming staff. After you make your first visit, you will wonder how you ever went anywhere else. read more

Little dude needed it to be fixed, ASAP. We looked up places near us, and thankfully found this little gem. Called ahead, and they said they had time immediately so we drove on over. I believe the guys name was Rob (if he even gave me the right name) I can't remember because I was too pissed off. Right away when I asked for him not to be buzzed I wanted a scissor cut the back n forth started. Told me he was not able to use scissors on a kid because they move too much and it's dangerous. (I get the worry) Mr Pete did his first haircut (who was awesome) he used scissors no problem. Then two other awesome ladies did his hair as well no issue. My son definitely felt the negative energy already and acted on it. I should've trusted HIS instincts immediately. He knows who he doesn't like. Then he proceeded to tell me my son had too many cowlicks. He has ONE in the back of his head which is a swirl most boys tend to have. The rest I explained is because he went to sleep with wet hair and his natural wave took over. Starts cutting my son's hair without even a spritz of water. Gets annoyed when my son drops his binky. I then sat him on my lap and tried that way, and the frustration grew. I asked him can you still cut it fairly long if you used the buzzer and he replied that's what I've been trying to tell you. Um, sir, no you weren't. You had negative energy from the start and then told me I was being rude since I arrived. Anyone that knows me knows that is not my MO. I took my son and left. Now he has a wonderful cut. That was done WITH SCISSORS BTW! My son didn't like your attitude and neither did I! Never going back! Also stop smoking in your building it smells putrid in there. I'd love to give the others who we've worked with 10 stars but this jerk deserves zero. If you don't like your job do something else.
